"Ah, come early next time and you'd know," remarked the teacher with a smirk, before opening the question to the class. "Anyone else?"

The entire room went quiet. Maybe the students were still in lunch mode and couldn't care enough to participate. But the silence invited Rain to raise her hand shakily and produce a few words.

"The opportunity cost is zero," began the girl, "because the PPF assumes full utilization. So when the economy is running underneath the curve, we're at a point that we're not using all of our resources. We don't need to make less of one product for more of another, when we can gain both... by using what's lying around."

"Very good, Rain! The only time we need to shift our resources from one product to another is when we're already using everything we have," added the satisfied instructor. "If I were on the PPF curve, and producing 20 more jeans meant giving up 50 pizzas I could've made, then the opportunity cost of 20 jeans would be 50 pizzas. Only because we're at full utilization, so we have to pick and choose where our resources go."

Though it wasn't the girl's intention, she'd saved Samuel and done something nice.

'Ah, Lunch Break is always far too short for my liking...or any break at all for that matter.'

With the advent of classes came the departure of his conversational partners, and likewise a treck through the halls to his own classroom on the 3rd Year block. Being so early in the year, his class had yet to kick into high gear, and the blood-sucker found himself with little to keep his attention. His gaze founds its way to the window on the far right of the classroom, settling onto lofty clouds that painted the sky with erratic white strokes with -perhaps- just a hint of grey. A telltale sign of showers to come, but then again, the weather was always fickle, perhaps the sky would be cleared with the appearance of a sudden strafe of wind.

Ms. Heavengates made an announcement. "All students please go to the auditorium" She walked over to the auditorium, herself, and stood behind the podium as she waited for students to rush in.

Bella put away her baking stuff and walked to the auditorium. She took a seat and waited.

Clyde finished his lunch just in time for is sweet silence to be broken by what sounded like an announcement. He sighed as he got up, put his hands in his pockets and made his way to the auditorium. Once he was there, he looked around to see if anyone else made it before he did, although judging by his reluctance, he figured he would be late. He sat down in one of the chairs and looked around to see who else was there while he waited for the headmaster to come and get whatever was going on over with.

Lucius gave his develish smile and turned around saying, "well wel you around Otis" he walked off to the auditorium, flipped as he entered and landed smoothly in a chair, sitting with his elbows on his knees and looking to the podium, he wondered what was the news.

Otis smiled, “I’ll see you around as well.” She made her way to the auditorium, and soon she arrived there. Otis sat down on an empty chair, pondering on what the announcement was for. “Hmm, are they adding more rules to this school? Did something bad happen?” She put her index finger to her chin as she continued to think about all the possibilities. “What if they are now allowing the Vampires to drink our blood without getting in trouble?” Otis had mumbled that last sentence to herself. They wouldn’t do that to students like herself, that would be unfair.

Nick had made it to Luna~Sun High School. He heard a message about going to the auditorium so he proceeded and went to the auditorium. He sat in a seat and waited for the announcement. He was kind of nervous because he had never met a vampire before and he was human so he kind of scared.

The announcement cut Rain’s first class short and instructed her to head to the auditorium. Thankfully, she’d done well enough to please the teacher and endure the intense scrutiny by her peers. She felt lost among the crowd of bloodsuckers, so to say that she joined the hallway procession would’ve been an overstatement.

The sight of Otis’s familiar face in the auditorium relaxed her a bit.

“Hey Otis, it’s good to see you,” greeted the grinning girl. But Rain’s smile soon faded from view, increasingly obscured by the thickening shadow of doubt on her roommate’s face until it disappeared entirely. Otis had been so cheerful earlier, so this new expression was worrying. Lowering herself uneasily into the adjacent chair, a concerned Rain continued.

“Is something wrong?”

Otis snapped out of her thoughts when Rain greeted her. “Nice to see you here too!” Some of her worries faded, but most of them still lingered around her. She turned towards Rain, “There is nothing wrong, I’m just worried about what they are going to announce...” Otis sighed, and then she put on a smile.

Stepping into the Auditorium mere minutes after the announcement has been made, Aster chose a random empty seat and occupied it with his posterior. He slouched into the chair slightly, lolled his head back, and closed his eyes. Even among vampires, he was one of the more nocturnal ones. He wasn't by any means sleep deprived, but the boy would take a nap where ever he could get one, and this seemed like the perfect time. He'd likely be awoken by the Headmistress' voice anyway, amplified as it were by the microphone.

Reassured that he'd miss nothing important, Aster relaxed and drifted off to la-la-land.

"Welcome everyone to Luna~Sun Highschool!" Ms. Heavengates spreaded her angel wings, "I hope everyone has a wonderful time at this new school, we are still changing rules and adding them and much more" She talked about the school,rules and faculty members. "Everyone may be dismissed now," Ms. Heavengates walked off the stage.

Zenix entered the auditorium, sat down on one of the chairs, and listened to what the headmaster had to say. Once the assembly was over, Zenix went to his class. He sat in his seat and listened to the teacher's lesson.

As the lesson went on, Zenix looked around the class and started to feel a bit nervous. Being around this many vampires certainly doesn't put him at ease.

Otis sighed in relief, and she stood up. “Bye Rain!” She smiled as she waved goodbye. Otis walked out of the auditorium, and started to make her way to her next class, Math. She made it there just in time, and she sat down at a desk.

Ann
Ann sat in her criminology class, bored out of her mind. She absentmindedly ran her tongue over her fangs while she picked at her fingernails. They were learning about the amendments, which she already knew. Glancing at the clock every minute, she wondered what Asher was doing right now. He was the only person she knew at this school, so of course she would be wondering.

Asher
Meanwhile, Asher sat in psychology, completely engrossed in the lecture. He had never been one to pay attention in class, so this was a bit strange for him to like it, but he wasnt complaining. An easy A for him. He really liked learning how people’s minds worked. He wondered if vampire’s minds would be the same. Although he was half vampire and dressed the part, his mind felt completely human. Thats where him and Ann differed. Since Ann was full on vampire, she had vampire tendencies. He had always been fascinated by that nature, but he was never able to tap into that side of him. Oh well. Maybe this class would teach him more.

Clyde raised an eyebrow at how quickly the assembly went, like he had hoped. He looked into his pocket for his school timetable to see what boring lessons he had to deal with today. "Maths, shouldn't be too bad..." He thought to himself before he stood up and left to make his way to class, his face clearly showed he was bored already and just wanted to get school over with so he could play video games.

Rain returned Otis's smile, glad to know that she was fine. The assembly didn't take long, and soon her roommate was saying goodbye with her usual pep. She noticed little things like this, subtle cues that told how people were feeling. Maybe that would help in Psychology, her next class.

Or perhaps it wouldn't. When Rain entered, the entire mood of the classroom changed. Even the teacher, who had decided to start early, paused his lesson. The blue-eyed girl took her seat between a human boy who looked almost as nervous as she was, and another male who must've been a half-vampire. Somehow, his presence felt less threatening.

"...As I was saying, classical conditioning," resumed the instructor. "Pavlov's dogs, the famous example. When the dogs see food—the unconditioned stimulus—they salivate—the unconditioned response. The metronome is a neutral stimulus, because they initially don't react to it. But if you sound it enough times before feeding, it becomes a conditioned stimulus, and they'll drool right when they hear it. That's the conditioned response. Here's a better example..."

The bloodsucking teacher smirked and shot his gaze at Rain.

"...When I smell the unconditioned stimulus that is Rain's delicious blood, I salivate. But she also has blonde hair, a neutral stimulus. Who knows? Maybe if I see her hair enough while smelling her blood, the mere sight of anyone's blonde locks might make me drool."

The laughter of vampires filled the room, and discomfort, the pit of her stomach. She didn't know Zenix, but the subtly shuddering girl glanced to the human beside her for reassurance. Only a glance, because her eyes instantly snapped forward when a student brushed up against her desk. He licked his lips and bared his fangs at her as he passed, having gotten up to use the restroom. But in this room, no one was giving Rain a rest.

"Oh, I'm just teasing, Rain," dismissed the teacher unconvincingly.

Would she feel this kind of pressure in all her classes? Would the bloodsuckers continue to stare at her with those predatory eyes, which seemed to focus only on her and not any other human? Would she change the atmosphere of every room just by stepping in and breathing the same air?

Perhaps... she was the problem, not they. Indeed, something about her, Rain was noticing, awakened their primal urges and brought out their vampire side...

Asher
Asher glanced at the blond girl who had entered the room. As she entered, something...strange, seemed to happen in him. For some reason, for just a split second, he had felt something he had never felt before. Everything seemed to fade out except for a strange smell in the room. A GOOD smell. Coming from the girl. Maybe a nice perfume? Whatever it was, it made him hungry. Which was strange considering he and Ann had just eaten a while ago. He became rigid in his seat until the feeling passed. He glanced at the newcomer quizically, but could tell she was uncomfortable enough as it was, so he tried to focus back on the lecture. But whatever had just happened had already taken his capactity to think about the lecture. What was that? What had just happened to him? He glanced back at the girl. “Um..scuse me. Hi, im Asher,” he didnt bother shaking hands. He didnt bother with formalities at all really. “Who are you?” He gazed at her coldy. He didnt like what had just happened. It felt dangerous. Had she done something to him when she walked in? It even seemed to affect the teacher.. had she done something to the class?

Ann
As she was sitting in class, her fingernails now short and rigid from her picking at them, Ann began to feel uneasy. A small bubble of anxiety began to grow in her chest and her stomach. Something was wrong with Asher. Raising her hand to be excused (and having a small lecture in front of everyone how its not CAN we use the restroom its MAY we) she made her way out of the class and into the hall. She wasnt sure which room he was in. He never liked to discuss his schedule with her. He said he didnt want her following him around the school, which she definitely WASNT going to do. At least not until she made her own friends.. even though she was 90 years older than him he treated her like a kid. Honestly, the only reason, she told herself, she looked after Asher and followed him around was because even though he followed his human side more, he still had vampire in him, and the moment he locks in with that part of him it could cause a lot of damage to others here...she was sure this feeling had something to do with it. She just needed to be sure everything was ok...

Awakening shortly before the Headmistress begun her speech, Aster folded his arms and listened with an overly-serious expression. He had quite a few things planned, and perhaps something in the Headmistress' speech would grant him the information he needed to accomplish some of his goals. When the speech ended, and the Headmistress walked off-stage, Aster rose to his feet, his eyes flashing ruby-red -classic vampire. Perhaps too classic... Pausing briefly, the Rakshasa blinked rapidly, his eyes dulling to a tranquil forest green, not quite the sparkle of emeralds, of the glimmer of turquoise waters, but instead a mellow hue of leaves in the wind.

Pupil color aside, the Vampire sifted through the crowd displaying an inhumane level of silence and subterfuge en route to the Headmistress. When he'd finally caught up, he politely attempted to grab her attention, "Good Day Ms. Heavengates, if you wouldn't mind could I perhaps bother you to tell me more about the school's student council?"

The half-vampire froze Rain’s deep, blue eyes with a cold, hard stare. A teacher and student had just drooled over her, and for a moment the girl essentially did the same in response to Asher. What did he mean when he asked who she was? He must not have needed her name, because the instructor had said it out loud.

“I’m... just a human,” she guessed. “I’m... 16 and a second-year. And, I’m in the gardening club after school.”

The lesson proceeded smoothly, the teacher moving on to distinguish classical conditioning from operant conditioning and behaviorism from gestalt theory. Perhaps an adult vampire was better at controlling his impulses than hormone-addled bloodsuckers in the bloom of youth. The students still looked very much like they wanted to sip her blood through straws, and these were what she was grasping at while answering Asher. Rain hoped that one of them would satisfy her wary classmate, who seemed as menacing as the others now.

“I-it’s nice to meet you,” she fibbed. From the way he’d addressed her, however, the boy didn’t seem like he was trying to be friends.

Asher
He continued to hold Rain’s gaze after she answered. Was she lying? He searched her face for any indication that she was, but for the most part she just seemed flustered. Why was he being like this anyway? He knew he wasnt usually nice to people, but he was never so...untrusting of them. She was fairly pretty, Asher mused, and whatever she had done to him wasnt normal for a human. A witch? Unless...she was human and something about her had just brought out the more...dark side of him. He didnt smell anything anymore anyway, and he seemed to feel like his usual self again... he realized as he had thought all of this that he was still staring. He looked away, still unsatisfied, but calmer. “Its nice to meet you too.” He said without looking away from the teacher. He really meant it, but she didnt have to know that.

Ann
The thing about not wearing shoes is that it makes sneaking around hallways in a school for mostly vampires a whole lot easier. Ann jumped from classroom to classroom, only needing a quick glance to tell if Asher was in there or not. Not really a brother and sister thing like her gut feeling was. Good eyesight and a quick brain to process was just the quirkes of a vamp. She reached the end of the 6th hall she had been down, glancing in the classroom on her left, and began to walk away until she realize she had seen the familiar red hair and dark clothing. She rushed back with newfound energy and jumped near the window. He seemed to be talking to a really pretty blond girl. She wondered if he had finally found true love. She had been trying to get him a girlfriend for the past 4 years now, but he just wasnt interested apparently. Being impatient, she decided to open the door and call him out, saying they had a family energency. She yanked on the door and immediately a very overpowering smell came to her. She took a step back, her eyes becoming wide. She could feel everyone staring, but she was more focused on where the human was. She needed to know who to avoid for future references. She had self control but...She started to scan the room, but she felt strong hands push her back. It was her brother. The door closed and she snapped out of her almost trancelike state. She mustve missed his apology to the teacher and his new friend when he rushed out of the room.

Nick saw people start leaving the little speech thing so he did so too. He was walking down a hallway and he looked over and saw a half vampire talking to a human. He shivered as he walked by.

Zenix silently watched as the teacher made the class laugh by teasing Rain. He also noticed some of the vampire students looking her as if she's their next prey. Even though he doesn't know Rain, Zenix still felt kinda bad that she got picked on.

As the lesson continued, Zenix's attention went towards a student who came in and asked for the student Rain was talking to before. This made him curious but soon shrugged it off since the student said it was a family emergency.

To say that Rain held Asher's gaze in return would've been the second overstatement of the day, for her trepid blue eyes trembled ever so slightly. Not once did they make the bolder move out of the way, however; the girl looked on in anticipation of what the half-vampire would say at the conclusion of his intensive analysis.

The boy's attention instead shifted back to the lesson, and his unsatisfied response seemed all the more dismissive and insincere with the absence of eye contact. This was only the first class, but Rain felt like she had just failed some kind of test. Before any vampire could sink his teeth in her, the biting realization that hardly anyone wanted to be her friend sank into her mind and sucked her of any sanguinity. Solitude and predation. That was all she’d experience here.

But suddenly the half-vampire who was eyeing Rain a second ago seemed less like a predator, fleeing the room, apologizing to her and the teacher, shoving a girl with identical red hair into the hallway. She sat confused through the rest of class, still not knowing what Asher was thinking. His unexpected leave, however, freed the blue-eyed girl from the negative thoughts that she’d piled on like bricks to a psychological prison.

“Dissociative fugue,” the teacher concluded facetiously at Asher and Ann’s exit. “...Or a family emergency. That too.”

~~~
Rain hurried out of the room with matching haste, but only when the bell dismissed her. There were just two classes left in her day, right? She’d get through this. Or would she? Math was next, but after staring into Asher’s cold, calculating eyes, the flustered girl seemed done with the class before it even started.
Doubting herself wasn’t helping, though. Soon, Rain was as lost in the halls as she was in her thoughts. This didn’t look like the math wing... Rather, it was a relatively empty passage. Where exactly was she?
“Heyyyyyyy,” came a suggestive male voice from behind. “You lost? Maybe I can...”
Rain turned to see a smirking teenage vampire, staring at her provocatively. She swallowed and drew back slightly, but with each pause in his sentence the boy advanced more, closing her in, until she was pressed to the lockers with him towering over her.
“...help you find where you’re looking for. Just like your sweet-smelling blood helped me find you.”
The girl—all of her trembling now—shrank further against the wall and shortened her breath, as the vampire’s grew heavier with lust.
“P-please let me go,” Rain pleaded helplessly to the student, whose fangs were already dripping like stalactites.
~~~

“Certainly, Aster. It’s no bother,” replied a smiling Ms. Heavengates. “In addition to ways we can improve the school for our students, the council here raises funds for all kinds of projects and activities. Past events have included blood drives, food trucks, parties, trips, ice cream socials, and my personal favorite... the moonlit cruise. Quite a bit of responsibility. Elections happen early in the year—actually, two weeks from now, to be exact. If you’re planning to run, do what you can to spread the word, of course, but my advice is to make friends with as many fellow students—human and vampire alike—as you can. That way, they’d know and trust you to represent them well!”

What are you doing here Ann,” He hissed under his breath. Ann stared at him wide eyed, as if she didnt realize what she had just done was bad. “Skipping class to come find me?”
“S-sorry.. i mean, i felt something bad, so i decided to come find you.. i thought you were in trouble!” Ann beamed at him as though it would make anything better.
“What are you talking about?! Im fine..” but as he said this be thought back to what had just happened with the girl in his class. What had happened to him... he wasnt so sure about his answer anymore. Ann picked up on his hesitation at the end. She was always so good at reading him.
“Nice try Ash, but i know something happened to you in there... i smelled a human as soon as i walked in there! It wasnt just ANY human though, the blood...i dont know. It was different somehow..” Asher’s eyes widened at Ann’s statement. It all clicked for him in that moment. So Rain wasn't lying after all, she really was human... but something about her blood made all of the vampires, even Ann, go crazy for a moment... if her blood was so powerful as to make HIM act on his vampire side... maybe she would be the key to helping him be more like his sister? More like a vampire. How he was SUPPOSED to be.

Ann
She watched her brother carefully. She didnt like the way his eyes were gleaming like that... she had always known Asher wanted to be more than human, and she knew he believed this particluar human was going to help him with that. She could read it all in his eyes. It HAD to be that girl he was talking to. Who else could it have been? All of a sudden Ann froze, and she could sense her brother do the same. It was a natural response for her when she sensed prey, but it must be a thrill for Asher. Her pupils dilated and everything around her faded out except a quickening heartbeat a few halls away from where they stood. It was the girl. Ann could smell it. She must be in danger... or just nervous. Ann decided that either way, she should get to her before Asher could have anymore conversations with her. “Stay here.” She growled at her brother, who unsurprisingly listened. He always did when she was in her predatory mood. Ann followed the scent of the blond girl three halls down, where she found the poor thing being eyed down by a male vampire. The way he was looking at her..if Ann had blood, it would be boiling right now. Although in the back of her mind she knew she had no room to talk. “Hey!” She hissed at the vampire, baring her fangs slightly.

The male turned his neck at the hissing Ann, dropping his arm from the locker, where it had been pressed inches away from Rain's face and blocking her path. He advanced with the slow and suspenseful gait of serial killer seeking out his victim in horror movies, smiling wickedly, until he towered above the vampire girl.

"Aw, why're you hissing at me? I'm just trying to help her find her next class," he said slyly.

At this point Rain had drawn back a few steps, prepared to flee in the other direction.

"I don't see why that's a problem," her harasser continued. "Besides, you know as well as I do..."

And the blue-eyed girl bolted, not looking back, not thanking Ann, turning the corner at the end of the hallway and trying once more to get to her next class. Soon the corridor filled up like the blood coursing through her veins, and Rain ducked into her classroom, taking a seat and a deep breath.

"...That this human smells absolutely delicious. Why don't we both have a taste of-"

The bloodsucker looked over his shoulder as he finished his sentence, pausing when he saw that his prey had escaped. His head snapped back to Ann, not grinning with compromise but twisted with rage.

"Look what you've done! Thanks to you, she got away!" he growled, putting aggressive hands on her shoulders. "You'll pay for that!"

Asher
The red haired boy sat quietly where Ann had asked him to stay. He pouted as he dragged his grey eyes around the looming corridors of the school. He would talk to Rain again. He had to. He had to find out why she was so special. Why she had to make that side of him come out. Its not that he was complaining. He wanted to be like that. Honestly he felt threatened here. He was sure the other vamps here would be able to sense his more human tendencies, and he knew he would get crap for that. As he let his gaze wonder, it fell upon, you guessed, Rain, as she seemed to hurry quickly away to her class. Asher was about to get up and follow her, but decided against it. Where was his sister? He looked around curiously. How odd... he thought quietly to himself. He decided to find her later. He needed to get to class before it was too late. He rushed to his english class and sat down right as the teacher had closed the door.

Ann
Ann flinched as she felt the vampire’s strong hands clamp down viciously on her shoulders. She was strong, sure, but she wasnt experienced in fights.. she wasnt even really sure why she decided to help the blong girl...maybe because, even through her brothers ambitions to get the human to bring out the “better” part of him as he would say, she could tell Asher really needed friends here. He was lonely, and to be fair so was she. But she never really had as hard of a time making friends as Asher. Ann glanced up at the boy’s eyes. They were wild with rage, and his tone when he had threatened her had made her hesistate. “Get off of me.” She said slowly. Her eyes sparked with an intensity she had only ever felt once before. Her fangs glinted in the dull lighting of the hallway, and she was only vaguely aware that they were alone, as class had already started.

The third overstatement of the day was that Rain was now used to the pressure of vampiric stares. No, in her math class she was just oblivious to it, for she'd had a far worse encounter with a bloodsucker not even a minute ago. Perhaps her relative indifference to her classmates' piercing gazes was an example of flooding, a psychotherapeutic technique in which a patient overcomes a phobia by being exposed to the most extreme form of the fear. Rain had been paying attention earlier. But whether this was a real-life testament to its success was still uncertain, because she'd probably tense up again as soon as she caught her breath.

Back by the hallway she'd just fled, her attempted assaulter heeded Ann's command.

"Alright," the vampire ostensibly conceded with a smirk, retreating a step. In the next instant, however, his arm became the second part of his body to draw back, throwing a punch that would knock Ann unconscious. "But you'll still pay!"

Tapping his finger pensively, Aster allowed himself to be momentarily lost in thought. He certainly didn't want to represent the student body, that was far to much work. He wasn't one for public speaking, but instead for working behind the scenes or even enforcing rules. Though, speaking of rules, he briefly pondered if the school had some method in-hand to deal with a vampire's attempt at compelling a human. If under the mystic influence, the victim actively denied their status as a victim, surely discerning right from wrong would become a bit tricky. "My gratitude Ms.Heavengates, I suppose it's time I headed off to class then."

Figuring the Headmistress was a busy vampy, Aster excused himself, and headed off down the hallways. 'My next class was...math? Or was it Chemistry?' Unhurried, Aster kept a moderate stride, navigating the twisting corridors until he just-so-happened to find himself staring at a face-off between two students, bloodsuckers by the smell of them. "Hoho~ what do we have here?" He didn't know either of them, but their proximity and male-female pairing gave him pause. A rowdy hallway fisticuff? Or a clandestine rendezvous between lovers? Either way, they'd chosen a rather piss-poor place to be getting intimate.

Ann
If she had been aware that they had a audience, she wouldnt have attacked. Well...she wouldnt have attacked as viscously. Of course this kid took her for a weakling. She was a fairly petite girl. But she was fast, and she knew it. Everything seemed to slow down for her. She noticed his muscles move, pulling his arm back, and she, without thinking and with surprising strength, barreled into him, knocking them both to the floor. She then began to swipe quickly and with no pauses at his face, her unusually sharp nails shredding his cheeks and the skin near his eyes. She hopped quickly off of him then, moving a safe distance away. She wouldve never gone for the face first, but this was different for her. She didnt even feel scared. She decided she would try to scare him off with minimal (if you could call a severely cut face minimal) damage. If he kept coming at her she would have to take a different approach...

Stunned by the petite Ann's sudden moves, the male vampire was now on the floor, covering his shredded face with one hand and crawling toward the nurse's office with the other. Cursing under his breath, he picked himself up near the end of the hallway and limped the rest of the way, putting up no further resistance.

Neither were the equations that Rain was solving in math class. While the red stares weren't any less intense, the teacher was a human this time, so she trusted the authority figure and settled into working on practice problems.

Aster watched the proceedings with a level gaze, an indifference which gradually morphed into utter contempt as the assailing vampire retreated like a beaten dog. It was mongrels like this who ruined the images of vampires. Ignoble little scamps who weren't worthy of the clothes on their backs much less the reputation and prestige of a Vampire -a Lord of the Night, a King amongst Monsters. The sheer disgust Aster felt for such defilers of Vampiric noblesse was unspeakable -he'd rather they not even pollute his ears with the filth from their mouths. It was a pity people like them hadn't been purged from the face of the earth or permanently locked into their animalistic transformations like the beasts they were.

However, disregarding that, still another Vampire remained in the Hallway. Skirting around the slinking boy, Aster made his way over to Ann. "You don't appear injured..? I'm Aster, and might I have the pleasure of learning your name Milady~?" Bowing lightly at his waist, Aster offered rather formal greetings. It wasn't something he did often, but he respected those who didn't see it fit to allow such disgraceful behavior to go unpunished -it meant they likely shared views similar to his own.

Presenting he open palm to Ann, he took his gesture a step further. He wasn't sure if she'd recognize his gesture, but he could tell she wasn't an Eastern Vampire like he was -or at least she wasn't a Rakshasi- and thus a European styled greeting would be easier for her to recognize. If she played along, she would offer her hand and he would summarily kiss the back of her hand -although perhaps he was simply being too old fashion.

Ann
The red haired vampire immediately changed her demeanor as the newcomer walked up to her. She glanced back at the vampire who had scurried away like a beaten animal and she scowled a bit at his retreating figure. She dragged her grey eyes back to the boy who addressed himself as Aster. She mused that his name sounded a lot like her brother’s. She nodded slightly, straightening up a bit more. She presented herself as if she were important, but most of the time she was a nervous wreck. “Hello. It’s nice to meet you, i’m Ann,” she let him take her hand, and she smiled a bit at his formalities. “No, i’m not hurt. I’ve run into others just like him... theyre really no threat, they just like to pretend they are..” she rolled her eyes. “Um.. how long were you standing there?” If she could blush she would be right now. It was unfortunate he had to see that..

Not wanting to be too invasive, Aster merely brushed his lips across Ann's hand before straightening and flashing her a wry smile. "Long enough to see you pummel that dog. I came right before he decided that attacking you was a great idea. I'm glad that you're fine though. Perhaps I should ask what happened before that?" Casually, almost as an afterthought, Aster reached out and adjusted threads of Ann's fiery hair that had been displaced by the scuffle, tucking them neatly behind the girl's ear. "That's better..." Muttering under his breath, he took a split second to appraise the girl who -quite frankly looked like she should've been in prep-school rather than Highschool. Barefooted and donning a silky, dark green dress that contrasted nicely with her paper-white skin, along with her bloody locks that framed a delicate face and stone-y eyes -Cute- was the first word that came to Aster's mind.

Perhaps it was her childish appearance, but the assault on her seemed even more unforgivable to the Rakshasa -whose eyes suffused a vindictive malevolence. Blinking, he ceased his brazen appraisal and stifled his darker -but somewhat justified- intentions. "This isn't exactly the best place for a chat...perhaps I'll accompany you to class and you can tell me on the way?" Lips curving into a playful smirk, Aster stared down at the shorter girl and awaited her response.

Ann
Ann tilted her head a little and searched Aster’s face. What was he getting at? Was he always this way with other girls, or was she, dare she say special enough, to catch his eye. She stuttered while being under his watchful gaze. “Uh- y-yea. My class...it’s this way.” She turned on her heel and began to walk slowly to her class. To be honest she didnt want to get there too quickly. Although she didnt want to be too slow either. She wasnt great in situations like these. Either way, she managed to keep an air of elegance and confidence as she walked down the hall. She didnt glance back to see if he was following, she just assumed he was. “The story with that vampire isnt really..interesting. This uh..girl my brother has been talking to. She’s..” Ann gave pause, trying to find a good word to say about the blond girl without making her sound like lunch. “She’s different,” she settled, “ anyway, i found her and the other guy up against the locker. The way he was looking at her...” she paused yet again as she felt rage boiling inside of her. Ann clutched her hands together and sighed, shaking her head. “Im not sure you would really understand. I dont know, maybe you would.” She shrugged lightly and fell silent.

Ann hadn't said much, but at the same time what was left unsaid spoke volumes. It wasn't so much her words, but her body language that had tipped Aster off. The way she clenched her hands, the fierce look in her eyes; the simple reactions that bubbled to the surface of her elegant demeanor revealed her mood -and angry didn't even begin to describe it. When her mood was paired with what little she had said, it was easy enough for Aster to figure out what'd taken place. When she'd 'found her and the other guy up against the locker' it certainly wasn't an embarrassing romcom of a scenario of two lovers having a mischevious tryst. Rather it seemed to be some form of physical, or perhaps even sexual, assault. Her later words faintly hinted at a backstory of sorts, but perhaps that was simply Aster's imagination. Either way, he wouldn't pry. She seemed unwilling to speak about it as it was and she reserved the right to remain silent.

Trailing behind Ann, Aster folded his arms, his mind briefly wondering back to his conversation with Ms.Heavengates. Rather than joining the student council and representing the student body, perhaps he could petition for a different kind of student organization. The kind with the express purpose of preventing and containing incidents like these whenever they happened. If memory served him right other schools utilized such an organization -The Disciplinary Committee. Tucking the thought away, he reserved it for his next conversation with the school's headmistress.

Conscience returning to the task at hand, his eyes shifted towards Ann and her less than jovial posture. Aster's brow furrowed and he chewed on his lip tensely. After several seconds of silence, the vampire's eyes seemed to gleam with the light of epiphany. Swiftly overtaking Ann he spun on his heels, once again presenting his empty hand to her. With a flourish of the wrist and a staccato snap, a bouquet of Roses appeared. The Roses weren't just red, they were sanguine, and atop their petals glittered liquid droplets of what appeared to be blood rather than dew. Pulling his hand back, the bouquet of roses remained frozen in mid-air -they weren't real after all. "At the risk of sounding insensitive, cheer up a bit won't ya~? You've prevented the worst from happening so there's no need to look so dreary."

"After all-"

Within the blink of an eye, Aster had transformed into a blood-mist. The signature transitionary state a vampire went through as they transmogrified into bats, wolves or any other manner of creature. However, Aster wasn't transforming into any of those. As the blood mist twisted and turned, it shrunk into a humanoid form that matched Ann in height. With the mist settling in place the figure he'd transformed into revealed itself to be clearly feminine. Locks of red hair were twisted in a braid down her back, held together by an adorning green bow. Barefooted and clad in a dark green dress, boasting a rather young face, Aster had transformed into a replica of Ann.

His -now her- arms reached upwards, pushing index fingers into the corners of Ann's (Aster's) cheeks and heaving her expression into a smile. Picking up where he left off, using the girl's own voice and presenting her own image as an irrefutable example he/she finished, "-you look cuter when you smile~"

Ann
Ann walked sullenly to her class, afraid to turn around to talk to Aster. After all, she had just met him and already their conversation had turned quite dreary. Although the circumstances they had met under werent much to be celebrated. And she had made that stupid comment.. she hadnt been thinking. She hated thinking about it, and it had slipped. He must think she was quite dull. Or perhaps too hard to talk to. She wasnt much of a conversationalist. At least she didnt think so. But suddenly Aster was in front of her. She quickly stopped in her tracks to gaze up at the taller vampire. “What are you-“ she began, but her breath caught in her throat as she stared at a stunning bouquet of roses he seemed to have conjured up out of thin air. There color was quite wonderful, certainly different from any rose she had seen, although she hadnt seen many. Her mother was more of a lilly type of person. She wasnt aware, but the corners of her mouth began to pull into a small smirk. She wasnt sure what had just happened, but the knot in her chest she had been harbouring since the assult seemed to loosen just a bit by the small gesture. As Ann’s fascinated gaze was on the eerily beautiful bouquet, she failed to notice Aster’s sudden change in appearance until she caught his words you look cuter when you smile. It had successfully caught her attention and dragged her grey eyes to focus on...herself? Ann gasped and stepped back. At first she thought she was looking into a mirror. But as she stared, she began to realize it was the dark haired vampire, somehow taking on her appearance. “How did you do that..?” She began, but suddenly surprised herself with a small laugh that quickly turned into a fit of giggles. It was just so random. He was so random, in a wonderful way, and she seemed to have forgotten what she had been so upset about a few moments ago. She was confused, but felt a bubble of joy at Aster’s performance. “How did you do that?” She repeated after catching her breath. Her eyes shined happily and she bounced a little on her toes, but quickly gained her composure. Her brother hated when she did that. He said it made her more childish than she already looked, but she kept the grin on her face, gazing expectedly at the copy of herself. Somehow, it didnt really faze her...

If Rain ignored the hemovores' ravenous eyes and immersed herself in work, the day would fly by like a vampire bat. That was how she survived her final class, International Relations. The teacher was a female bloodsucker who didn't spare her the humiliation she'd endured two periods ago.

But the girl buried these worries somewhere deep in her mind, like the flowers that were similarly planted before her. The gardening club was her favorite place to be, a glass haven where neither the pestilent insects could pick apart the blooms nor the bibulous vampires could tear apart her flesh. She was its only member, after all—solitude, without predation. Not expecting anyone, the blue-eyed female relaxed completely.

Only the flowers' stems were lowered expectantly, ready to receive the water that Rain tipped from her pail. Usually, they were the pale who tipped her—those ashen monsters, who struck so much fear into the timid human that it upset the precarious balance of emotions within her. But... one of their kind had saved her earlier, back in the hallway between the end of the second period and the start of the third. With matching red hair, she was the same girl whom Asher had shoved out of Psychology...

"I guess... I forgot to thank her," mused Rain, absently overwatering a catchfly.

"Your visits are always a pleasure!" beamed Ms. Heavengates through a businesslike smile, interlocking her fingers at her desk. The Headmistress was addressing a tall man with a worn brown trench coat, buzzed blonde hair, piercing blue eyes, and a rugged, surly complexion.

"For obvious reasons," he muttered coldly in response.

"Of course. I appreciate everything that your employer does to keep our vampire students fed—carefully sterilizing blood tests and donating them to the school instead of trashing them in biohazard bins. In the outside world, many people are unsympathetic to vampires and few would willingly donate for the stated purpose of sustaining them..." she explained.

"You say that as if I'm not among the majority."

"Oh, you don't have to remind me who you are," she answered playfully. "Snow Helion the Saccharine, the legendary vampire hunter, known throughout the world! He'd lure them in with the sweet smell of his blood and lop off their heads! Who would've thought he'd send his daughter to a school where humans study alongside them?"

"You know exactly why I made that decision, and it's not because I believe in your vision. Rain deserves a quality secondary education, and your institution is the only affordable one. I understand that you have to keep the prices low, because no human father in his right mind would enroll his daughter here otherwise," retorted Snow.

"To put it bluntly, you didn't have a choice," smirked Ms. Heavengates. "You needed to free up time in your schedule to assume a second job as a hospital janitor."

"To provide for my beautiful daughter. I want what's best for her," the man added in response to the Headmistress's unflattering description, then flashed an icy stare that would paralyze hemovores faster than they did Rain. "Let me make something clear. If anyone harms a hair on her head, then I'm no longer a retired vampire hunter and I'll have yours."

"You know," frowned the half-human, "Rain is at that age where young women fall in love, and if she happens to-"

"That's enough, Pearl. This meeting is over," Snow raised his voice and interrupted. "I'm leaving this wretched place now. I hate your bloodsucking kind and always will."
