Her left arm has many bracelets on it and Lia sometimes wears a necklace with a pink flower charm. She wears Adidas Superstar shoes.

Although her starter Pokemon had been a Piplup, Amelia had grown fond of the Eevee she had rescued one day.
It was an exciting day for her, as she was going out to challenge the Gym Leader of Oreburgh City; this was the first one she would challenge. Oreburgh City was a city known for mining. In order to get to the Gym Leader, you had to navigate a mine first and defeat the trainers and Pokemon in it.
It was only a little bit after she ventured into the mine when she discovered an Eevee that appeared to have been cornered by several Zubats. It couldn't have defeated all of them on its own, as it had an injured leg from a cut it got from one of the rocks nearby. Lia decided to rescue it, taking on all of the Zubats with her Piplup and Starly. It proved to be a slight challenge, but they managed.
The Eevee watched them closely as they battled. It seemed joyful after all of them had been defeated, as it walked--slowly--over to Amelia and rubbed its head against her leg. Lia smiled, setting her bag gently on the ground. She wanted to see if the Eevee wanted to come along with her on her journey. It eagerly climbed into the light yellow backpack, its ears sticking out.
With that, Lia continued on through the mine, eventually reaching the Gym Leader and challenging him. Her team consisted of only a few Pokemon: her Piplup, Starly, and Shinx. She decided Eevee, whom she had named Amaryllis, wouldn't be up to fighting at that time.
Over time the two bonded through many battles and sweet moments together. Amelia eventually ran into a Mossy Rock and decided she would evolve Amaryllis into a Leafeon. This was around two months after they had met.
