Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.

No end in sight.
I wouldn't exactly call myself new to role-playing, nor to sites dedicated to role-playing. I've had a fair share of partners and a good few years of experience with the 'written word'. So, no, I'm not someone whose going to need a lot of guidance in terms of writing, keeping a story going, or coming up with scenarios to play out.
"Well, what's up with the 'title' of this 'About You' then?" I'll explain my situation. Whilst I love role-playing and do so often, I can never finish anything I start. Which is a horrible trait to have in a writing partner, I know. Usually I come across a scenario I take a liking to, or write such a scenario myself, and go all-in for a while.
I somewhat obsessively check for responses and once they appear I usually drop whatever I'm doing at that given moment and get busy on my response to it. I can keep this up for a week or three usually.
And then it goes downhill..
I lose interest in either the scenario or my own character without a real reason. I've been told that 'things ending' is somewhat of an irrational fear of mine. So, I cut stories short before the end instead of finishing them out, because I can't let it go. I can't let it be 'finished'.
So, here's the situation you'll find yourself in should you want to role-play with me. I am desperately looking for a partner who wants to run a long-term role-play with me. I want to finish it out and will try my very best to make that happen, however. I cannot promise I will be able to finish it. Which is why I write this here as a form of 'warning'.
I have the experience and creativity to write a great tale, but most likely not the endurance to see that before-mentioned tale come to conclusion.
TL;DR Pros:
- Experience in role-playing
- Motivation to start a long-term story
- Oodles of creativity
- Looking to make new friends
Cons:
- Will, most likely, never finish a story
(but will try hard to break that 'habit')
"Not everything has a happy ending, and not everything has an ending. Some things just kind of dribble away or cut off abruptly." - Susanna Kaysen

What Pokémon are you?
What Type are you?
Poison-types are strongly opinionated and independent. They tend to go their own way in their personal pursuits, unconcerned with what others think of them.
