    The DS is obsolete now. You can't play GBA games on DSi or anything after. That's why ORAS was made now, and that's why it's unlikely we're going to see a Sinnoh remake (much less Unova) anytime soon. You can still play any DS game on the 3DS.

    In addition to that, both the Sinnoh games and the Unova games are still playable on the 3DS. There's no way they'll make a remake for any game until it has become obsolete.

    Hard to remember type match-ups

    I only found out very recently that Bug types are strong against both Dark and Psychic types. I also have a hard time remembering whether Ice is immune to Water or if Water is immune to Ice.
