that would be a good option actually, since it was only the sketch and you can draw over it xD

yipes, losing files sucks :/ Have you thought about using something like Dropbox to save your files in? You get like 2GB of space for free, and it just shows up as a folder on your PC you can save things to, which it uploads securely. It also keeps versions of stuff, so if you save it wrongly you can go online and just pull an old version.
