You also shouldn't be trying to melt it with your own chakra. You're just gonna cause your chakra to dip to Kai's level and then throw away your advantage.
If you're gonna deal with the Ice monster, use Paper bombs or things that don't take chakra.

Yeah that water serpent alone cost around 40% of his chakra to preform. It’s incredibly sizeable and incredibly dangerous

Also, don't aim at the monster, aim at Kai who's on the monster. It's much more effective to just take out Kai, and there are a variety of ways you can do it.

yea, but that's more wasted chakra on Kai at 0 expense to Raiku, so more paper bombs are good.

I'll keep those for later, don't wanna spam some now and run out. They're very useful. Also if I attack kai directly and falls out, can't he just make the serpent come to him? Raiku will be at 90% chakra but kai is probably at 50

Kai definitely has less than 50%, the Ice Serpent was 40% and the jutsu he tried to kill Furījia with was a chunk of chakra too.

@kyuukestu you would be right. Although he did cut costs by fusing that crushing justu as material for the ice serpent drone. I’d say he has roughly 35% on him

None of those jutsu are gonna melt the Ice completely, they just aren't very big compared to the scale of the Ice Serpent.

The ice serpent will continue regardless if Kai is concious. However they have no brain of their own, hence why Kai has to give them commands with his tactic stratagems. So they would simply act on the previous order in a loop
