It truly isn't, every generation has some less than stellar design but gen 5 gets all the hate for some reason

I love Generation 5. I grew up with those Pokemon. Unlike others, I found Pokemon when I was older. My first Pokemon card was a Whirlipede - the reason I'm obsessed with it so much.

I actually grew with gen 4, but i still think that gen 5 is great

Gen 5 was the first Pokemon game I played, I still like it because of the nostalgia it brings me.

Same, my first Pokemon game I have ever played was gen 5. I've grown to love it and I will always love it.
