Only if you're close. Like, super uncomfortably close, closer than people should be in a pool unless they're in a romantic relationship. And in that case, you should be making an effort not to pee.

I can't agree with that assessment. The people in my life that I love are important to me, and while I sometimes don't like them for what they do or take what they do for granted, I know how upset I'd be if they were hurt or dead.

Tell that to every fairy tail, or any other type of story for that matter. Even if it's technically a chemical reaction, it's still a real and strong thing. And as far as temporary goes, love can last as long as anything else in this world.

I can agree that snogging kinda seems dumb at times, but not everything people do out of love is dumb. It could be something as simple as cooking breakfast for them, or being there for them when they're going through a tough time.
