And the ones that DO look good (Greninja, Infernape, or Torterra for example) have gotten boring to look at and now seem kind of bland as well.

in my honest opinion, gen 4 had the last best starters. all of them were uniquely cool in their own way.

Yeah Charizard is one of the more bland ones. I don't like any of the gen 2 starters tbh, lmfao. Except for Feraligatr. Maybe.

Venusaur is, like, the only grass starter that's only merely good stats-wise, and it doesn't even have that good of a design, but he does look like a bro ngl. The starters that have good designs are Decidueye and Torterra but are shit at battles tbh.
