He'd be a hacker, pilot, and to a lesser degree a medic. He'd have a pistol, and maybe a staff or a lightfoil. A lightfoil is basically a weaker version of the lightsaber but were made so civilians could use them effectively. My character would probably be a male kaminoan.

I've made 3 star wars RPs. All 3 died quite quickly because *some* people "forgot" to post. I even had a great story for 2 of them. What people don't realize is that you don't have to put your character in the same place as everyone else. There's a whole galaxy of planets. Choose to put your character at a military target instead of the planet of Naboo

Yeah. Though if I did join a star wars RP, I'd want it to be a less story focused RP. Just a casual everyday sorta setting. I know a lot of people like being a hero, but I don't care for stopping some major villain or saving the day. Problem with this though is, I don't think its a popular idea. Also its important to have plot points, and maybe deadlines.

It's really easy for an RP to lose focus and die out because people don't have a goal to focus on so they don't know what to post, and drop out. Usually without telling anybody, but I digress. Character interaction is also important as well. If one character does something or says something, now another character has something to respond to.

I tried having a RP that was set after order 66 but the rule of two didn't exist so there could be a lot of Sith running around. Maul would be dead (only because my friend insisted it was necessary for his character) and Dooku would still be alive

I agree. That's why I kept my next Star Wars RP more strict. It was set during the old Republic and the main characters were owned by me, my friend and shadow pup. I had the Grandmaster (a female Twi'lek), my friend created a new side which worked similarly to Revanites (a male human) and shadow pup had the Sith Emperor (a male Ewok). We had other characters as well to speed up the story a little

Force sensitive OCs makes me nervous in the RP setting. In the comics/movies/tv shows/games you see jedi/sith dominating the battle field. The force allows people to be extremely powerful. However I'm a bit concerned when over half of the characters are force sensitive. Force powers are cool, but the force is only part of the star wars universe. A major iconic part of it, but still.

Which is why I made sure to let everyone in that RP know that only the Grandmaster, the character my friend made and the Sith Emperor were gonna be OP. Everyone else could still be powerful, but they could be taken on by regular troopers. They hold the advantage over the troopers, but if the person owning the trooper character came up with a good enough strategy I would let the trooper win

This is another unpopular opinion, but I'd also probably limit the amount of force sensitives. I doubt it would go over well with people who wanna RP as their ideal jedi/sith/gray jedi. For me. I'd much rather play a character with a few character traits similar to Han Solo or the mandalorian. Leaning more towards Han solo. Mando is cool, but I like Han's cheerful outgoing personality more.

The thing is, everyone is force sensitive. Think of it like chakra in Naruto. Rock Lee have chakra but he doesn't have enough of it for it to be useful. Han Solo is such a good pilot because he has a form of precognition which he has because he is a little force sensitive. Not as much as Luke or even Obi Wan, but he is a little

I understand that much, the whole midichlorian stuff. but most people in the star wars universe don't have lightsabers nor do they have force abilities. Is what I was meant to say.

Yeah I know most Star Wars fans know that. I was just being obnoxious :p

I do like being a Sith but the thought of having some other kind of character does appeal to me. As long as I can have a lightsaber fight I don't really mind. I don't need to have a lightsaber, but I do want to be able to have sword fights. Weren't vibrostaffs/swords a thing?

Be as obnoxious as you want so I don't have to feel guilty when I act obnoxious. Writing these posts makes me feel like the whiney dude that hates fun.

A plain vibro sword or staff would also work fine. I like the idea of having a staff like the one robin had which retracted when it wasn't in use. (Batman's lil boy scout).

The image didn't work for me but I looked up an image myself. Is that the vibroblade? Cool.

I might use something made out of beskar which is one of few metals that can withstand lightsabers

I'd either have a Dark side user with a lightsaber, a Mandalorian with beskar or another species (most likely either zabrak, wookie or trandoshan)

I like the idea of a kaminoan who grew up in a upper class family. Born to be genetically superior. Egotistical attitude and everything. For some reason he no longer lives on kamino. Maybe he's an outcast. Maybe he wanted the thrill of adventure and thought life on kamino was boring.
