The theory is that Xerneas and Yvetal genders are shown, because their games are x and y, and many people think the games resemble chromosomes. Xerneas, being the x chromosome, would be a girl and Yvetal, having the Y chromosome, Yvetal would be a boy .

Bulbasaur- Undecided, Charmander- Boy, Squirtle- Boy. Cynadaquil and Totadile are boys, Chikorita's a girl. Treecko and Mudkip are boys, Torchic's a girl. All the sinnohs are boys. All the Unova's are girls. Froakie and Chespin are boys, Fennekin's a girl.
