I'm interested, Alex is a veteran trainer but fixed battles are new to him.

Could I get some more info on the situation? I'm not sure how free I am but if it's interesting enough I can probably make time for a RP battle or two xD

I intend to host a tournament in RP, the World Junior cup, but I need enough trainers to create the bracket. Hence the notice for people to apply.

How advanced is this tournament? Level-scale wise, and trainer experience?

It's a low to mid-level tournament, expect first and second-stage pokemon but few, if any, third-stage evolutions. Level wise the pokemon would be below 40, with the bulk being in the late 20s to early 30s.
