well, an "RP" is a kind of story that has no set goal, it could go on forever, but usually, they don't last that long, but in the beginning, someone sets a place, and time, and everyone makes their characters EX:

well, the middle school love story hasn't gotten far, it started out when someone won a baseball game, but now he is getting ready to let his friends ride his horses.
the pokemon anime has started out when the group of kids went to a riverside, then they had to go to the pokemon center, now they are on a beach, and they met a new kid named Brendan.
