I love your post and all, but I have one issue with it.
You have a Sylveon. I can't really consider that an OK Pokemon to bring with you on a starter journey. Also, these Pokemon have to be from your region, meaning even if you had an Eevee it would only be able to evolve into Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, or an Umbreon. (Considering my Eevee will become an Espeon) Sylveon had never been intoduced in the Johto region.

I meant my mom gave it to me before I left, I know nothing about it, and she hasn't even been outside the pokeball.

I realize that, however Sylveom should be too strong to be considered an 'ok' Pokemon to start your journey with. At the minimum you could have an Eevee. Please?
