Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
Well, rules and limits are always important. Because there are a lot of people who will try to God Mod and constant dodge attacks to win. A sentance limit is also good as battles will be less, basic attack after as attack.
And then you need to make sure you limit who enters, and make sure they are good RPers and loyal. And discussions involving battles are always a good idea.
And a final note, having a good storyline for the tournament always helps.
Ahh yes also, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to put in something after the character sheet. A test of how good you RP in a sense, if I haven't RPed with you before.
Like an RPing example? Yeah, that’s always a good idea. It was something I was plannng for my Alolan Tournament. But I forgot. But I’ve found that the thing where you hide something in the rules that says, “put this in your form” doesn’t really prevent bad RPers from joining. Just because they read the rules, doesn’t mean that they will follow them.
