Have you heard of the 'Halo' effect? It's where when someone has some good characteristics, people will generally attribute even more positive traits than that person has to them. For example, when someone is kind and outgoing, most people will also assume they are caring, when they might not be. It's common among people who are in love.

I peacefully attempt sleep, and all of the sudden my brain opens it's cringe folder and starts pulling out random files.
Why do we do this to ourselves? We're just depriving our own body of sleep so we can replay over and over the entire period of puberty, which is usually the cringiest memories I can think of. Why?
