Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
The illusionist looked up a moment too late as the command was barked out. She shrieked in alarm as she was knocked back several yards and into the river. Her head resurfaced after a moment and she gasped, taking the form of Floatzel in a soft flash of light.
Ember acknowledged the bug-type with a flick of her ears and hissed in frustration as the ground shook beneath her feet. She dropped to all fours for stability and waited until the attack subsided, which left her dizzy but relatively unharmed. Her eyes shot back to the remaining enemy Pokemon...
She inhaled deeply, them blasted a flamethrower at the Haxorus. She scraped her claws together furiously to hone them. Her mane bristled wildly, and she lunged at the Haxorus with her claws extended in preperation to use Night Daze.
Her ears twisted around at the sound of a battle. As she moved to slither down the trunk, a whole team of dragon types came into veiw. Her eyes narrowed into slits. An unfair fight. She hissed and dropped out of the tree, transforming back into her normal form.
Ember flicked her ears towards a new trainer. Another one? Her eyes narrowed and the fur along her spine rose. She hoped that they wouldn't notice her as she wiggled back along the branch to stay out of sight better.
She shifted into a Persian once more to give herself more room on the rather small branch. Her claws sunk into the bark as she finally allowed herself to fully relax after that whole ordeal. Her oddly golden eyes scanned the ground, nevertheless.
Ember gradually became more relaxed as she climbed higher in the tree, away from the jumbled mess below. Her claws hooked into a knot in the tree and she spared a glance downwards at sudden shrieks. Her ears angled towards the ground as she spied two trainers through the falling leaves.
She paused after listening to the giant Pokemon. Would trainers really do that? A shiver creeped up her spine and she shook herself off, glancing around quickly before retreating quickly up a tree.
Ember's attention turned towards the charging bug type. Her ears flicked up in alarm as she redirected her flamethrower to hit the huge Pokemon with a determined snarl.
The battle started so quickly that Ember's eyes almost couldn't keep up with it. Who's good and who's bad here? Her fur prickled as she dropped to all fours and watched them silently for a minute before making a decision. Guess I can hope to hit whoever I'm supposed to. She inhaled and blasted a...
The illusionist's ears flicked back as the sound of splashing caught her attention. She whirled around, and almost shrieked at the sight of a giant, unfamiliar, seemingly bug-type Pokemon. She sprang backwards, the ridge of her mane bristling wildly.
The zoroark followed the strange Sandslash and Glaceon quietly, keeping herself out of sight to the best of her ability. Her purple mane dragged in the leaves, causing them to rustle. Her ears twitched at heavy footsteps, which were still some ways off. She tensed and looked towards them.
Ember hissed at all of the sudden commotion, annoyed and startled at the same time. The shriek of a Pokemon stood out to her, and her ears perked. A Pokemon in trouble? She slithered down the trunk hurriedly as anxiety pooled in her gut.
Ember balanced herself on the limb as it became evident that everything was safe, for now. Her muscles relaxed and her ears twitched as a Pokemon's voice came into earshot, followed by a human's.
Her claws locked themselves into the bark and her tail lashed as she looked back towards the forest floor. Her fur slowly laid flat as she realized she wasn't being followed - as far as she knew.
Her claws sunk into the bark of the nearest tree as she fled up it like a Pachiraisu. The fur along her spine bristled furiously as she scrambled for the higher branches. She clung to a particulary strong branch and attempted to catch her breath as the urgent panic subsided.
The zoroark's ears twisted around in alarm at solid footsteps - not a Pokemon, she noted mentally. Her mind flew into a panicked frenzy and she blasted the sandcasttle Pokemon with another flamethrower out of sheer panic. Her body rearranged itself as she took the form of a Persian and shot in a...
