    Based on his backstory, people thought he would be a prodigy, but then he hurt a lot of people. It would make sense he wouldn't have his own genin team by now in my opinion.

    I can mostly understand that, however the kids in naruto (at least in this AU) are basically the maturity level of 17-20 year olds, at least some of them are. You could easily give him back his prodigy status, put him at 15, and have him act the exact same and I don't think anyone would bat an eye

    I can confirm, fire by itself is kind of hard to work with, only reason I've been able to do anything was because of the help of kyuu who came up with like 5 good techniques for me to use. I'm trying to add a few more tricks to my arsenal other then just fire though
