Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
Darrius walked into the Arena, standing across the field from a much older Trainer. His opponent, Eugene, dusted off his monacle.
"About time young man. Are you prepared to tango?" A strong breeze rippled the grassy field between them.
"Indeed I am. I'll lead first. Go Reaper!" Darrius shouted...
Darrius sat up and looked at his watch. Just after 1 pm.
"My battle isn't until 3. I'll be fine. I still have a bit of time." he thought to himself. He slowly hauled himself up from his bed, and went into the shower.
"I've gotten lucky thus far, not having to battle any of my friends who are...
Darrius was watching Aaron's battle in the locker room, as he was gearing up for his battle.
"A shame I won't get to see the end of it. Hopefully he wins. I want to see all of my friends in the top 16 for this tournament." Darrius thought to himself.
"Darrius, it's time." the judge shouted down...
Darrius smirked at Ry's announcement to the world.
"It's good to know that I have such a confident rival. I expect to see you both in the semifinals. I have to go and prepare for my next match." he said, then took his Pokeballs from the nurse, and exited the center. He waved to Levi as he...
"As do I, but mine isn't until well into the evening. I'd rather have them been one right after the other honestly. I dislike long gaps between battles." He took a breath, and pulled a bottle of tea from his bag.
"My opponent only had a Typhlosion that gave me some trouble to start. I had her...
Darrius notices Ry after setting his three Pokeballs down on the tray for the Nurse.
"Yes, I won. Havoc came in clutch, as per usual. How about you, did you win?" he fired the question back at his friend.
"It would be rather upsetting if he lost. If there's anyone among my friends that would...
Darrius strode confidently to the battlefield he was assigned.
"Trainers, this is the 86th Indigo League Tournament. It will be a 3 on 3 match on a grass field. I want a good clean match!" The official said, and Darrius shook hands with his opponent, a young woman by the name of Marsha Bixley...
Darrius watched the new girl approach from his peripherals, but said nothing. Something about her.
"What is it?" he thought. "What is it about her that is so... familiar?" He quickly made sure that he wasn't staring at her.
"She reminds me a lot of... her. That little girl I met what seems like...
"Not much on my end. After i earned my badge from Blue, I had to make an emergency trip home to help my dad take care of my mother, who had gotten sick. Thankfully, she's better now, so I'm here once again. Just in time for the Indigo League tournament. I remember watching the Indigo League on...
"Wow, really? That's crazy man! Congrats! But... How are you here to challenge the Kanto League if you're the Gym leader for another region?" Darrius asked, rather confused. His confusion is logical. An event like this is unprecidented.
"To think Casys actually became a Gym Leader." Darrius...
"Eh? Casys? Is that you?" Darrius turned to the other trainer.
"Hey, it is you. When did you get here?" Darrius smiled and put his hand out for a handshake.
Walking through the plaza, Darrius, lost in thought, carelessly collided with Levi.
"Oh crap! Sorry! Oh, hey Levi, what's up?" he asked, as he helped his friend up from the ground.
"I need to focus more. it's not like me to space oout like that..." he thought to himself.
Darrius nodded and headed towards the stadium where the battles would be held.
"I can't let my team down like I did during the quarterfinals in Hoenn a few years ago." Darrius thought to himself. He sat down in the stands, and stared down into the arena, and began to calmly meditate.
"I believe...
Darrius stopped at a stand, and purchased a necklace. He then exchanged it for the older one that was around his neck, attaching the Pokeball clip from the old one to the new one.
"I must say, Kanto knows how to do it up right for their League tournament." Darrius mused aloud, as he slipped the...
"I don't have anything else planned, so why not?" Darrius said with a shrug, and followed along beside the other Trainer. Checking his own watch, he looked over his bracket.
"Huh, Block A, and it looks like Levi is in my bracket. Thank goodness we're not paired up for the first round. I'd hate...
Darrius groaned and rubbed his eyes when he heard Ry shouting outside. When it clicked in his mind that it was RY who was shouting, he laughed out loud.
"Just like him to do that though. That's Ry for ya."
He then hauled himself out of bed, took a quick shower, geared up, and went outside.
"You...
"I think I will be turning in for the evening as well. I'd love to catch up with you all more in the morning." Darrius said with a smile. He stood and exited the room, retreating to his assigned room, and lays down to rest, allowing Sol out of her Pokeball to sleep in the bed with him.
"Well, you and I are the only ones of the five of us here that left Kanto. I went home to Orre to take care of my mother and some research business with with Professor Krane. Thankfully she's doing better, so I can be here to participate in the Kanto League." He said.
"I was telling the guys...
"Well well, nice to see you Robby." Darrius said, after he gulped down the food he'd been eating. He then stood and gave the young trainer a firm pat on the shoulder.
"How have you been? Did you miss us?" he asked, in a more joking than serious manner.
"I've seen those before. I watched a few contests in Lilycove City while I was in Hoenn. Interesting thing, Contests. Not my style, but certainly an admirable pursuit in the love of Pokemon." Darrius said with a smile. "Seems like I was the only one who went home. There's good reason for that of...
