Ability changes on migrated Togepi.

So, I've been playing random Pok

Unless the programmers made it that way, my guess is that Serene Grace takes the second ability slot and that Togepi uses Serene Grace, even though Hustle is still there. Once migrated...since Serene Grace is in the second slot, the game changes Togepi's primary ability to be Hustle, since Serene Grace now takes the second spot in the ability slots. So in short...to my best knowledge, I don't think Togepi will ever get Serene Grace as an ability.

Your explanation WOULD have worked - except for the fact that this particular Togepi retained the ability when I migrated it - it was Serene Grace all the way until the thing decided to evolve - and THEN mysteriously changed.

I would also like to point out that this issue seems to exist only in migrated Togepi - not in any Togepi that were hatched natively in Gen 4.

So there goes THAT theory out the window.

Any other ideas, oh mighty Falco-fangasming-one? ^^

And now I'm clueless. The game may just be glitched...or you're just unlucky. But my guess is on the glitch thing...unless you have an idea Stel?

Its like getting a sex change on your Azurill just with lower chances. Keep trying, your just being unlucky. Its normal the chances are low as I beleive Hustle is the main ability for the Togepi line in D/P and Serene grace the secondary so its lower chance of getting it.

Its gonna be a pain but Tri-attack + Serene is worth it imo.

The same thing happened to me, except when I evolved my Togetic into Togekiss, it had Serene Grace again. It only had Hustle as Togetic. I assumed it was just a glitch...

I'd say the gender issue is pre-set, just because I've tried switching off with eggs and no matter how many times I did it, the gender was the same. Not sure the same thing is applied to cross-gendering Azurill though. Sorry I can't really offer any ideas, though evolving mine with a shiny stone seemed to fix the Hustle problem.

I'll be interested to see if this question gets solved...

I should experiment with that, see if it's only your game. A Togekiss with Serene Grace would have serious ownage!
