We are quite excited to have you joining our class, and we are sure you are equally as excited. Attached to this letter is your course list, supply list, and a small pamphlet detailing what the coming year will be like. See you on the first day!

The Ace Academy is one of the best Pokemon trainer schools in the world, and young trainers from every region try their hardest to get accepted into the Academy's classes. You are one of those trainers, and after you applied to the Academy you soon received one of the letters of acceptance. Now you are on a large ship, cruising through the Kalosian ocean on your way to the Ace Academy island.

1) Follow all Pokecharms rules, Global and Pokemon related.
2) Romance allowed, keep it PG-13

Name: Monty Pierce
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Physical Description: Monty stands at 6'2" and has an athletic build. Monty has dark brown skin, almond colored eyes, and coal-black dreadlocks.
Clothing: Monty's favorite outfit consists of tan cargo shorts and a black polo shirt. Whenever he is training or battling Monty often changes into a pair of black athletic shorts and a dark red muscle shirt.
Backstory: Monty was born in the Sinnoh region in Canalave City, and there he enjoyed a life as the son of a well-off merchant. His father owned a small ship that shipped goods from Canalave City to other parts of the Sinnoh region, and Monty often accompanied his father on shipping trips. While at home between trips, Monty wandered into the Canalave Gym and discovered a love for defensive battling after watching Byron battle. Wanting to further improve his own battling prowess, Monty applied to the Ace Academy.

Backstory: Monty met Sentinel while on a shipping trip with his father. They had taken the river cutting through Route 206 to deliver some goods to the Eterna City Pokemart, when Monty and his father stumbled across a battle between a Bronzor and a Machop. They got out of the boat and stopped to watch the battle, and after a few minutes of taking hits and retaliating the Bronzor came out on top. Monty's father handed him a Pokeball, and Monty caught the Bronzor before returning to the boat.

Name: Jacob Holt
Gender: M
Age: 16
Physical Description: Average in both build, and height standing at about 5’, 8”. He isn’t skinny, but not very muscular either. He is much stronger than he appears, however, having been on the swim team, and baseball team for several years. He has short, brown hair; which is usually neatly styled up or “coiffed” as his friends call it, blue eyes, and some light freckles over the bridge of his nose.
Clothing: Always changing, but he feels most comfortable in a jacket of some kind, around his waist for hot weather. Underneath he often wears a white, green, and light blue striped tank top and dark blue shorts that are easy to move in. Anything else will be described in RP.
Personality: Jacob is a fairly easygoing person, but a very intense student. He is always striving to put in his best work to all of his classes, even the most mundane. Even if that means extra time time off with his Pokémon one on one, or staying after class for extra credit. He tries not to come off as too serious, however. He enjoys meeting new trainers and having new experiences. Jacob always tries to keep level headed and focused, but is admittedly very competitive. He might say he doesn’t care for competition, but once a battle gets going he can get a bit more aggressive and reckless.
Backstory: He and his older brother were brought up in Kalos. His father loved Pokémon and so they spent plenty of time around them. As fate would have it, Jacob’s brother was a gifted trainer, and a dedicated one too. Jacob looked up to him more than he led on, which is probably what gave him the passion to apply to the Academy in the first place, that, and his soft spot for Pokémon.

Backstory: Caught on a family trip to Alola. It is still highly inexperienced, and is still figuring out how battling works and to put trust in Jacob. It is often more occupied with getting into trouble than battles, but Jacob has faith he’ll get there in time.

The island was artificially created and populated with nearly every species of Pokemon (except for legends and mythics of course). There will be classes that involve battling, raising baby pokemon, first aid (think using potions in the games), and technical classes (type matchups and abilities).

Physical Description: A young boy with thick, dark, messy hair tied to a spiky ponytail at the end. His most recognizable feature are his brown, almond-shaped eyes that glisten with childhood mischief. The minuscule lad stands at about 5"4' (Although his hair him look a lot taller), normal for his age, but don't let his physical appearance fool you, as Bog is known for his ingenious battling style that he developed when he was a student of Rustboro City's Gym Leader, Roxanne.
Clothing: Bog usually wears his signature straw hat which sits comfortably on top of his spiky crown.

Personality: At first glance, Bog may come off as childish and rather annoying at first, (kids will be kids) but he is no joke in the battle field. Bog has a special place in is heart for Pokemon in general and thus, has trouble forging bonds with people. His lack of social skills are a consequence of his past journeys along the Kanto and Hoenn regions, which he spent with only his Pokemon by his side.
Backstory: Bog was born in Rustboro City as the youngest child of a normal, middle-class family. Bog spent most of his life with Pokemon as his parents never had time to play with him and his older siblings were already working outside Hoenn. Bog, unlike his more business-minded relatives, wanted to become a Pokemon breeder, and spent most of his time studying many Pokemon species. His passion was spotted by the local Gym Leader, Roxanne, who offered to serve as his mentor, to which he gladly accepted. Soon after, Bog was sucked into the world of Pokemon training, breeding and battling, and discovered his new passion as a Pokemon trainer as he travelled along the Kanto and Hoenn regions. After he graduated Roxanne's school with flying honors (only on the practical tests, his written exam results were horrible), he was recommended into the Ace Academy Trainer School where his newest journey is about to begin.

As he ran through the forest, encountering countless Wurmple, and Shroomish, he came across a wounded Nincada that had injured its foot while being hunted down by wild Taillow . When Norman and the rescue team came, they found the boy asleep, covered in scratches and bruises, huddled next to a fainted Nincada.

Physical Description: Wild chestnut brown hair pushed back and to the left, allowing just a few strands to fall forward over one of his deep amber eyes. Skin is fairly sun-kissed from lots of exposure to the outside. Stands at about 6’0 feet in height, with a semi-athletic build.
Clothing: Zander has always liked high contrast in his outfits. Because of this, he's typically seen wearing his favorite white jacket with black trim. Underneath usually resides a black or white T-shirt. His legs are adorned with boot cut jeans either black or blue in color. Finally, keeping with the theme of his jacket, Zander prefers to wear black boots with white trim for comfort and traction.
Personality: Curious and mischievous. Zander has a good heart and decent wits, but often gets himself in various sticky situations simply for the enjoyment aspect of it all. (Will be expanded upon in the rp)
Backstory: Originally from Goldenrod City, Johto. Zander’s parents had both strayed away from the trainer lifestyle and opted to run a small shop deep in Goldenrod. Unfortunately, Zander wasn’t as laid back as his folks. The young pokemon lover was a good kid, but often caused trouble for his parents with his curiosity driven antics.
Zander finally found focusing this excess energy into Pokémon allowed him to explore his desires without the need for constant excuses. And being the adventurous boy that he was, he quickly picked up exploration, battling, and researching about anything and everything pokemon related.
Upon hearing of this Island Academy, Zander couldn’t hold back his excitement, viewing it as his ‘ultimate challenge’ thus far.
It’s all or nothing for Zander, and he certainly intends to stir things up while here.

Personality: Brian is a kind and friendly individual who tries to behave like a gentleman, especially toward women. He has a good sense of humor and rarely gets angry... although when he does, he can be very cruel and terrifying. He also cares deeply for his Pokemon as if they were his own children and would do anything to protect them. He also chose to train with only Psychic types like his father who was a gifted fortune teller and through this, has a strong belief in destiny.
Backstory: Born in Unova between a Female Pokemon Veteran and a gifted Fortune Teller with great Psychic abilities to see the future that his family had for generations. Brian unfortunately didn't posses his father's gift, but he and his mother raised him well nonetheless. As Brian's childhood went by, they began to realize that he was a lot more like his mother; Someone who loved Pokemon and battling with them considering how often Brian battled with his mother's beloved Arcanine. One day he was gifted a Pokemon egg which soon hatched into the Ralts that became his first partner Pokemon. His father ended up having a vision that involved Brian "Reaching a new height as a Pokemon trainer", with this knowledge, Brian decided to apply for Ace Academy so that he was prepared for what his future journey had in store for him.

Physical Description: Hanabi is a cute girl who stands at 5 foot, 2 inches tall. She has thick, long, dark hair and an ochre skin tone. Her eyes are so dark, they appear to be black. She likes to experiment with a different hair style every day.
Clothing: Hana likes to wear clothes that feature hibiscus flowers and bright colors. She brought a huge suitcase full of all sorts of clothing to the academy, and hopes her favorite clothing catalog delivers to the island!
Personality: Hana is a friendly fashionista who will do your makeup and let you borrow her top (probably). She may be spoiled and might not understand that other people don't come from prestigious backgrounds or that you can't buy your way out of everything.
Backstory: Hana comes from money, power and privilege. Her rich dad gets her everything she could ever want. Clothes, makeup, video games, even the Alolan Pokémon she always wanted and a spot at the Ace Academy. At the same time, this means her dad has to work all the time and misses a lot of important dates. Like her going-away party, for example. It's fine. She understands how busy he is.

Backstory (Optional): Pocchi is an odd Rockruff; very expensive, despite being such an ordinary Pokémon in Alola. The breeder claimed that he was a special kind of Rockruff that was absolutely worth the money.

@Mystic Zander I'm developing a sort of "evil team" to function as antagonists for ours characters, essentially they will be school bullies. I also have a storyline planned out for each class, starting with the pokemon battling class that will introduce the bully characters as antagonists all the way to the pokemon medicine class that will feature going out into the island and fighting pokemon to collect herbs for medicines. I have some other stuff in mind too but I want to keep those a surprise

Physical Description: Henry stands at roughly 5 feet, 4 inches, with hair dyed dark purple, pale skin, and brown eyes. His hair is really the only particularly noticeable feature about him, however, and he tends not to stick out in crowds, which he is perfectly fine with.
Clothing: His clothing is as nondescript, if not more so, than his physical appearance, as Henry chooses to wear blue jeans with solid-color t-shirts or hoodies. Grey is a personal favorite color of his, and thus this color dominates among his attire. Something that might be considered notable, however, is that Henry has an aversion to wearing shorts that he cannot explain.
Personality: While intelligent and talented, Henry is somewhat lazy, and he has developed a distaste for doing anything that requires a major energy or, worse, time investment on his part. He is fine with schoolwork as long as it provides a reasonable challenge and lets him progress (one of the reasons why he applied to Ace Academy), but he can lose focus easily and has trouble staying on task.

When he started out attending one of the local schools, he worked hard until he realized that he didn't have to, and that his workload was way to easy. Getting bored with the slow pace of his classes and frustrated at the incompetence surrounding him (he wasn't the nicest child), he sought out new opportunities, eventually applying, and being admitted to, Ace Academy. The application process pushed him to his limits for the first time in a while, and he is excited for what might come next.

Despite Spike's unpredictable nature, he and Henry have become good friends (but not quite the friendship level required for Togetic).

Backstory: Noah and Flame found each other on when Noah's father took him exploring. Noah got bored while his father went to get some berries to eat. He explored around and found an abandoned Hut. Noah went inside of it of course and found a Litwick. Noah liked the pokemon immdentally and just took him. Soon after that, he caught the Litwick, and at first Litwick hated Noah, but eventually warmed up to him and became the good friends they are to this day.

Backstory: Noah and Queen found eachother when Noah was hanging out with one of his friends. They we're just tossing rocks into the river and having fun. Backstory: Her and her older brother Shadow had to constantly move from region to region because she was being targeted by evil organizations because she had the ability to understand Pokemon since she had developed this at the age of 6. It only grew stronger as she got older so for her own safety they found a home in Alola to settle but the result of this was to keep hidden under a white wolf blue streaked mask and black hooded cape.

Personality: Elodie tends to act very confident and bold, and that makes her the “popular” center of attention. She always knows what she’s doing and is very intelligent in a battle or in class. Elodie is also brave, very courageous and can actually ask for an extra ketchup packet unlike some people. Though Elodie is confident to the point where people think she’s desperately trying for popularity, and battling her can get intense that people steer away from challenging her. Elodie also is cold to people she thinks are too shy or lonely to be her friend. It’s a little rude, but that’s Elodie.
Backstory: Elodie grew up in a wealthy area where Ace Academy was pretty close to. Her parents enrolled her there and told her to be confident and never let anybody get her down, and she did just that, where it just became part of her personality. Elodie knew it was quite the upgrade from old shy girl. Currently, she lives in a manor in the outskirts of Callie City.

It took awhile for Dash to warm up to Elodie and Rocky, but once she did, they were all a team. Elodie named her Dash because that was the first name that popped into her mind for a speed-based Pokemon.

He represses this as he believes he will be made fun of for his passion and he has a strong sense of admiration for people that don't care about what others think. He also enjoys pokemon battles but is more a fan of Palaeontology. He puts on a cool guy persona to look cool
Backstory: Charlie was born in the Kalos region to a skilled Palaeontologist and a talented trainer. Charlies parents had a deteriorating relationship when Charlie was 9 his parent divorced he was shifting between the 2. One day h went on one of his many Palaeontology expeditions. But there was an earthquake causing an earthquake. His Mother used the event to show that Charlies dad was endangering him. His Mother forced him to go to Ace academy as she wants him to stop wanting to be a Palaeontologist.

Clothing: Leila wears a white captain hat with black and gold accents. She wears a long-sleeved black and white shirt, and a pale-pink skirt. Her shoes are usually gold colored flats.
Personality: Leila is a very innocent girl that can be easily swayed most of the time. In her spare time, she will often take naps on Dhelmise. She usually avoids pointless fights. Most of the time when she fights, she thinks of it as a game. However, when she knows she can't afford to lose, she stops thinking of it as a game and actually tries. The change is drastic but rare.
Backstory: Leila was born into a mid-class sailing family. They adored water types or any pokemon that reminded them of the sea. They lived in a house near the sea, and would often be sailing. When she was 10, they gave 10 pokeballs to catch pokemon with. She continued on her journey to train her pokemon. Finally deciding to take a break, she returned home. Her parents informed her of the Ace Academy Trainer School and she decided to apply. She figured that she might as well try and if she didn't get in she would just continue her journey. Surprisingly to her, she got in. She was elated at the thought of going to this prestigious school and started packing right away.
