I've been pondering this for awhile, and I think it could be fun, so I'm going to put the idea out there for others to consider.

I want to make a Anime Picture PokeDex of sorts, or in short, an "AniDex". What this would basically be is a collection of Anime related screenshots of EVERY Pokemon in various poses and scenes (as the pics became available, that is). At least one would be a standard "Here it is" shot of a Pokemon posing, probably after being released from a PokeBall. I'd also be looking for a number of other pics relating to that Pokemon: action shots, emotional shots (whatever the emotion), silly/funny shots (like this gem, or this ^^) and others that are just plain random. Summed up, pics from lots of different episodes and situations.

Anyone can contribute - the more who do, the better a collection we'll end up with. You'd just need to post random Anime Pokemon pics in this thread, either by attachments or linked off the Charms gallery/an unloading site like photobucket. Don't worry about multiples of certain Pokes either. That'll be sorted out later on. The only thing I'd caution would be the sources of your pics. Wouldn't want anyone attacking the thread saying that certain pics were stolen from their website.

After a number of pics are collected, I'll start knocking up pages for the main site. Just gotta get a program to let me do so first XP

Can people still see the image properly? I had trouble awhile ago with linking attachments to my sig and nobody being able to see it.

EDIT: El says he can see it, so maybe if all pics are linked within this thread they'll still show up. I can only hope.

If you or anyone else could find higher quality images of those shots, it'd be appreciated.

*Will get some pics up soonish herself and start compiling them under names*

Btw - if the pics have multiple Pokemon in them, say which Pokemon you want it to represent. I'd rather it just go for one and not repeat pictures.

And Alex just gave me a "DUH" response towards putting this on the main site, so we'll just use this thread to gather pics instead ;)

For the one with Psyduck kissing Snorlax I'd put it with Psyduck.
For the one with Charmeleon and Paras I'd put it with Paras.
For the one with Raichu punching Pikachu :( I'd put it with Raichu.
For the one with Pikachu and Raichu in top hats I couldnd't decide.
For all the other ones with more than one Pokemon in it I'd put it with Pikachu.

;D Mukkuru looked so funny when Ash captured it. The creator of the show should use that face on a captured Pokemon more often.

That's a cute Munchlax + Max pic. You guys are both pulling together some good shots. Keep 'em coming ^^

I'm thinking when these go up on a page they'll be broken up into categories. That way, it'll feel less like a jumble of pics and more like a collection of pics surrounding specific situations. Exm: If possible, I want to try getting shots of every attack certain Pokemon use in the show, so for Pikachu it'd be at least one for Iron Tail, one for T-Bolt, Quick Attack, Agility, Volt Tackle, Thunder, etc. Then another category may be solely of a Pokemon getting smacked around/attacked by another Pokemon. For Pokemon like Meowth and Pikachu, I'd love to get a collection of lots of the different things they've been dressed in/as. And so on.

Do people need help getting pictures off Pokemon episodes/movies on their PC/DVDs? If so, let me know and I'll try to help you through it.

Btw - I noticed recently that you can't view attachments if you aren't logged in, so anyone viewing this thread who isn't a logged in member probably thinks we're all insane. lol.

I've been resizing my pics to be around 225x170. Do people think this is a good size to aim for, or should the pictures be smaller/bigger? I'm hoping to be able to fit at least three pics side-by-side across the page. Maybe then 250xwhatever would work just as well and look better overall.

Thoughts?

That's a reasonable size not to big not to small, just right. Even up around the early 300's wouldn't be that bad
