A light tore through the darkening sky, a smear of fire on a black canvas. The first one this month. There had been other like it before and there would be others like it again but tonight was the night Flint had decided to make his move. He didn't want to wake up in the morning to yet more bodies littering the beaches. Besides all that flesh attracts some unpleasant visitors. Rip your throat out as a greeting unpleasant. Not exactly the kind of dinner party he enjoyed.

The young man's eyes glittered in the dimly lit cave, reflecting the flickering flame from his campfire. Those chocolate brown eyes had seen some dark things since Flint's arrival on the island. Hopefully he wouldn't have to witness anymore horrors tonight. Some human company would be nice actually, he was longing for any kind of conversation that wasn't completely one-sided. The grunts Ash would give him didn't exactly count.

As if she knew that Flint was thinking of her Ash suddenly appeared by his side, nuzzling against him affectionately. His hand instinctively reached down to the pet the beast but his face was still set in stone. He hated sending her out there alone but the truth was he would only slow her down, especially at night. With a sigh he finally gave in. "Ash. Go fetch." He commanded, trying to look down at her but she was already gone, a blur scrambling out of the mouth of the cave and into the dense forest.

Meanwhile on the beach.......The light had finally been extinguished. The great machine that had descended from the sky was now embedded in the soft sand of one of the stretches of southern beach, beeping softly. After a few minutes it gave an almighty groan and four separate compartments slid open and revealed the forms of four sleeping humans, all dressed in nothing but the sparsest cloths. The unconscious bodies were dumped on the sand, the machine would be long gone by the time they awoke and they would be none the wiser to how they had got here. 10 minutes later the device had vanished and they began to awake....

Allan Watts woke up with a start. His entire body ached, and his clothes were covered in sand. "Wait, sand! Where am I?" he thought to himself, rising up and looking around. He was on a beach, laying, with a few other people, who, at the moment, were unconscious. He struggled to his feet. He looked down at his clothes. Instead of his regular clothes, he was wearing rags. "What the heck," he muttered.

Alix Windsev could pride herself in being knocked out and lost in a canyon for a few days and making it out by the skin of her teeth, but the problem there was that she had actual clothing on her back and a well packed survival kit. This situation was much different. She groggily opened her eyes, only for the flutter of her eyelashes to flick some sand into her eyes. With a hiss, she peeled, yes peeled, herself off the sand. Gross, I feel absolutely gross she thought, brushing her hands free of sand to gingerly dig the sand out of her eyeballs.

The next thing that was different was how exposed she felt, and it wasn't because of the unfamiliar setting. The sand, salty air, sound of waves and telltale smell of water and foliage told her she was on a beach near... either a forest or some densely packed slopes. No, this certain exposure was the feeling of having laid out in the sun with no protection or sunscreen, but also the bone chilling wind that, surprise surprise, felt as if she wasn't wearing anything.

Blinking a little more without getting sand in her eyes, she could finally peer around. Indeed, she was close to water that was unnaturally clear and some absurdly clean sand, and the forest was luxuriant and wild. Seriously, even for a place like this there should at least be some human traces... trodden leaves or a small missing tree or two... Alix continued to look around warily. Noticing another geographical landmark, the area surrounding her was more like a series of islets, which might explain the island like feel, especially with all the overgrowth.

With a groan, she made way to tackle the itch on left wrist, only to stop as her entire body twitched in a spasm of pain as her nails clattered against the edges of something metal and tore it slightly. She looked down at the metal diamond imbedded in her wrist, which was dark grey with little glowing lines, and a tiny amount of blood had sprouted along it's edge from where her nails had dug it up. Just looking at it made her feel all twitchy at the unnaturalness of it, and of course shuddering with anger and outright fear because she woke up next to almost naked on an abandoned beach with something that someone had to put on her wrist.

Making some sort of strangled noise in the back of her throat, Alix resisted the urge to curl up into a ball then and there. She knew it wouldn't do her any good, she had to be level headed and think this through. Instead, she busied herself with examining her surroundings and stop thinking about how little clothing she had, all the sand in places she didn't know sand could get, and that god forbidden thing in her wrist. Immediately, she noticed three other persons with her, all placed in a strange circle that hinted they were all placed there at the same time. Looking over, she noticed another man, wearing a scandalous lack of clothing much like her, with a diamond apparatus in his wrist as well.

"O-oi, you there." she coughed, her throat was dry in addition to her chapped lips, she noticed. "Guess we're kinda in the same boat here, any idea what the heck happened?"
