Sir, this background is lacking in visual delights. I shall see you in court.

Seriously though, you can get away with a simple background every now and then.
You have a good grasp of anatomy and the folds are quite well-done.
The only thing is that the foreshortening is a little bit wonky, especially on his right arm (the lower one). Still, I know how frustrating something like that can be to portray well.
