Okay, so.

I'm supposed to come back home to the good old States (and yes, even after coming here, I still think the USA is a better place to live in, sorry to all those who live here...) today. And that's all good and stuff because tomorrow I have my camp reunion from my summer camp.

But guess what? I'm stuck in Vancouver for a whole extra day and a half.

Nobody told us that we had to check in at least a whole fucking hour before our flight. We came an hour early, yes, but we waited in line instead for a whole thirty extra minutes. So you can guess what happened... but for those mentally challenged, what that means is that my parents and I missed our flight back home due to some damn bit of knowledge we lacked. And I am very, very pissed, as you can tell. You regulars here should be able to tell that, at least.

Anyways, if we were able to get back home either today or tomorrow before seven am (my home time, not pacific time), then all would be fine for me and stuffs. But noooo, I have to get home on MONDAY, meaning I miss, not only church for the second week in a row, but also the reunion. And that also means we have to rent two more days for a car and find a hotel to stay for two nights. Not to mention the boredom that we have to deal with for a while...

But at least I can get home, right? Must look on the bright side of things! ^^ (not really working but meh)

Well, I dunno about America, but here most places require you to have checked in at least 45 minutes before the flight time and check in opens 2 hours before.

We can check in a minimum of 30 minutes before where I live, I believe. We arrived an hour before our flight, but finding the international/USA check-in place and waiting in line took up about fifteen minutes, so we couldn't complete check-in in time.

And LoN, this is the first time it's happened to me, and under normal circumstances I wouldn't be so pissed. But we have to pay an extra one thousand dollars due to this and I'm going to miss a really awesome party/reunion, as well as miss the finished product of a "movie" my group and I filmed during camp which I was really looking forward to see.

But on a happier note, I only have about a day left here, and I can continue eating food that doesn't equal to Chinese food. :3

That exact same thing happened to me, just about two months back actually. I was supposed to check in 45 minutes before my flight, and I arrived at the desk 40 minutes before the flight... They wouldn't let me on the plane, or even through security for another 5 hours with a 3 hour lay-over in Denver...

So I understand the frustration, but it happens, and I'm sorry you had to miss all that stuff because of it. Stupid airline companies and their rules XD

I had to wait for more than 24 hours, with a 5-hour wait for my next plane in Denver.
