Fjorrd brought his weapons down on the machine, slashing along its back, cutting into the worn-down machine---but it was not destroyed as easily as the dragonborn expected.

After taking that hit from behind, the large drone flew slightly higher and away from the Crusher, the jets on the sides of the 'head' adjusting as to allow the Fazent to turn around. Sparks flew from the damaged area, meaning Fjorrd's blow did have some effect, but it was clear it would take more than that to bring it down. The machine gun on its front swiveled to lock onto the nord, a faint reticle signaling its target, before the Fazent unleashed a storm of bullets in the dragonborn's direction.

Store Ruins
"Demerzel..." The soldier in Mercurymon's grasp choked out, struggling to break free. "The supervisory AI that acts as Sumeragi's leader..."

Kiwi's barrier deflected the incoming psychic orbs into the ground, prompting the Psi-User to fire another set of projectiles, this time spawning them from above Kiwi as opposed to the soldier's own hands. While this was happening, the one with the missile launcher would fire another homing missile at the bard...

Copen
Much to his surprise, the Brute had managed to react quickly enough to grab Copen's legs, sending him flying back down the hallway and towards the incoming Berserker. Far from an ideal situation.

The changes he'd made to his body during his time in that parallel world did come with some drawbacks. Most notably, due to needing to allocate energy and resources to his Break-Shift form, he could only perform a single Bullit Dash before touching the ground. He could extend its duration by rebounding off of terrain and preserving his kinetic energy, but once the propulsion was over, that was it. No Bullit Dashing until he touched down, and the Brute's interruption of his plans left him unable to zip out of the way like he would in days of old.

With the aid of his thrusters, he managed to redirect himself to the left and closer to the ground, narrowly missing a Grunt that had been flung his way. His goal was to touch the ground as quickly as possible to restore his Bullit Dash, after which he would immediately enter Bullit-Shift, using the extra speed from the Brute's throw to slip right underneath the incoming Berserker, having no time to redirect himself upward or in the opposite direction.

It would be a close call, but there was no other way to avoid a blow.

Mercurymon

Mercurymon's lips curled. How delightful, they had so willingly cooperated with his inquiry.

"Now, that wasn't so hard, was it?" The steel warrior said to the soldiers his grip still firm and cold.

This would be the point where he would shatter the man's skull. However, with the pair of 'Allies' nearby, he'd risk losing all affinity them. A pity. So instead he looked into the man's eyes, his reflection staring right back at him.

"Heed my words, worm. This Demerzel is not the strongest one in this wretched plane. Tell him that his final act draws near. Now, Begone!"

He then hurled the man out of the window, shattering it on impact. Now with that one out of the way, he merely needed to dispatch with the remaining guests. Not bothering to look their direction, he snapped his fingers, his body followed by his arms disappearing within seconds. Moments later, he'd reappear behind the soldiers, taking his hands over to grip the back of their heads before attempting to smash them into the floor.

Akkala Citadel
Nell observed the demon floating behind Nozomi as she spoke, before stroking his chin with his own answer. "Not particularly, no. Calamity Ganon is the embodiment of hate, and will not rest until all of Hylia's children are destroyed. Those monsters are his own kin, and share his goal. Does that answer your questions?"

Hills of Baumer
As the Terrarian left, Bokoblins yelled and shook their fists after him, some even throwing stones. Then, they continued back towards the two mountains, and if Tal'Set were to follow all the way, he saw that they regrouped at a massive base built into a large tree.

Windy Valley
Psyduck was bored of walking. It was only a couple of minutes, but it was tiring work to keep up with the longer-legged people. So, he just waddled to the front of the group, and plopped down on his rear. And from that rear view, he saw something. In the distance, multiple dots in the distance... and getting closer. He squinted, and it looked like a bunch of blue Beedrills coming that way!
"Duck!" Psyduck yelped, a accidentally fitting word for the situation, but the Buzz Bombers were already zooming overhead, firing upon the group with little accuracy. But from the carpet bombing, the ground began to groan. Fissures formed, before the whole section was swallowed into a sinkhole!

Psyduck crawled out from under some rubble, relatively unharmed, before rolling onto his back and letting out a huff. The hole above them was large, and Buzz Bombers still swarmed above it, though didn't seem to notice those fallen in the hole. There was, however, another way, a dark cave that stretched for a long ways...

Jungle
As Kragg lifted up a metal panel quizzically, the blue blur hopped on top of the machine to join the rest of the group. To give some indication of what kept him so long, he simply said, "Ugh, this interdimensional warping stuff makes me queasy... looks like you guys got this, though." He looked around, tapping his foot. "...You're not gonna tell me that monkey was driving it, right?"

Jibanyan
As the new soldier appeared, Jibanyan blinked, before rapidly scrambling to cover, just barely avoiding the psychic blasts. He cowered for a moment, but upon taking a peek, he saw there was a sack of flour right next to him, and he had an idea. Grabbing the flour, he called to the Psi-User. "Yoo-hoo! Over here!" Then, he slung the flour at the soldier to create an opaque cloud around the grunt!
If it worked, he leapt into the cloud towards the soldier. "Nyot cool sneaking up on a cat like that! Powdered Paws of Fury! Nya nya nya nya nya!" He couldn't see, but the punches covered everywhere the foe could possibly be within the cloud.

Officer Howard
The kid's whining snapped Howard out of it, and he turned around. All he said in return was, "Priorities. Stay close," before he ran back down the stairs, aiming for the gondola to see if there was a window visible from it.

Max Brass
The muscled man landed on the blue wall awkwardly. He then struggled to get his footing, before pulling with all his might to try and get free of the tree's grip. "He's the one that started it!"

Samus
The bounty hunter was a silent as she could be, but she could see her presence was detected. The brutes were now on high alert. Not only that, but Samus's Aeion was running out, having drain faster due to her movements. Samus prepared her arm cannon. She would uncloak herself just as her Aeion tapped out, perhaps in the next ten seconds, or if the Brutes realize her position. Depending on their reaction. Samus would react accordingly, maybe even running if she had enough distance.
That said, if Ray was caught, she'd uncloak and open fire immediately.

Lucario
Lucario nodded at Sonic. "Indeed, this was the one piloting the machine." before considering Bj's and Kiwi's input.
"Then if we're in agreement... you." he turned to the monkey, eyes stern but not cruel. "Tell us where you received your orders, and we shall let you go."

Whispy Woods
Whispy gasped indignantly, pulling back with equal force even as its roots threatened to rip.
"Oh, I'M sorry. How would YOU like it if someone barged into your home and wrecked the place up, hmm?"

Kirby
Kirby happily shook hands with Aegiomon's, despite the latter's weirdly mishappen ones. Poor fellow didn't even seem to get his name right, but he didn't mind. What he did mind, however, was this Ganon fellow. Embodiment of hate? Like negative stuff?
Sounded familiar.
Kirby looked over to his side, remembering seeing a castle a fair distance away during his brief time up the Citadel, though it was hardly visible behind all the dark energy surrounding it.
Yeah...definitely familiar.

Astra & Musimon, Metabee

"Okay everybody, trivia!"

Astra spoke in his microphone, which was not turned on. He had been 'entertaining' the group during their hike, taking his take at being the leader. Before he could ask his next trivia question, Psyduck began to panic out of nowhere.

"Huh? What's wrong?" Astra questioned.

"Hm! Hm! I'm getting some bad vibrations..." Musimon added with a worried shudder.

That's when it became clear: a horde of mechs bees darted into view. They had weapons primed, beginning to blast to the whole area. Metabee fumed, readying both his arms up into the air.

"Oh I KNOW you didn't just fire at me! GIGIGIGIGIGIG-GAH!!"

He fired right back, sending an over excessive amounts of bullets all up at them, bringing several of them down in the process. However, he was too wrapped up in this to even notice the ground quaking beneath them. Just then, it was too late. The ground collapsed on itself, Metabee, Astra, & Musimon all falling down to the rocky cave below.

The monkey couldn't help but flinch as Lucario's stern eyes stared into his. Knowing exactly what they did to the machines, the ape didn't want to face that. Nuh uh. So they dug in their left pant pocket before plopping a bronze looking circle onto the ground. It clanked, a holographic projection coming out. Words displayed on the screen to match the vocals.

"The task is simple." Came a cultured, almost British voice. "I need fertile soil for station 13C. You will aid in this endeavor along with the rest of your detachment. Level the forest. Signal when it is done."

That's when the image of a insignia appeared on the screen. It was bronze, showing Specter's face emblazoned on it along with his name. After a few seconds, the hologram shut off by itself.

Mercurymon reappeared behind the soldier with the missile launcher, grabbing him by the back of the head before slamming the man into the ground, where he stopped moving, though the missile he had fired moments earlier was still active, headed right for Kiwi.

The Psi-User, meanwhile, hadn't expected such craftiness from a cat, being blinded by the flour before being pummeled by Jibanyan's signature move. It sent the soldier flying backwards and out of the opaque cloud, the soldier in purple preparing another set of psychic projectiles---when Mercurymon appeared behind them, smashing them into the floor. Just like that, the Sumeragi troops had been dispatched.

Kirin & Gunvolt
"An ambush?"

A series of robots flew overhead, firing at the group. Metabee was quick to return fire, and while Kirin wasn't quite within range to fight back, she did draw her blade, ready to deflect any projectiles that came her way.
But barely any did.

"Wow, these things have some terrible aim," she remarked.

"Wait, the ground..." Gunvolt muttered, noticing the quickly-forming fissures. "Watch out everyone, it's going to-"

But it was too late. The area they stood on collapsed, sending the group plummeting underground. Gunvolt's body turned to electricity as he fell, while Kirin jammed her hidden katana into the rock wall beside her, slowing her fall down considerably, preventing any damage. The duo eventually reached the bottom, Gunvolt shifting back into flesh beside Kirin.

"That was pretty unexpected..." The Battle Priestess commented, dusting herself off before sheathing her blade. "Is everybody okay?"

Fjorrd the Crusher

——City Slums [Sumeragi Campaign]——

The metallic beast appeared more resilient than expected---almost like a Dwarven construct, and many of those were deadly. The machination propelled itself into the air, evidently trying to escape the nord's grasp, the metal-spitter now spinning in his direction. Slamming his heel into the concrete, which cracked beneath his force, the dragonborn took a balanced stance as he opened his mouth.

"YOL TOOR SHUL!" he roared, his voice thundering out at far too loud a volume for any human to be capable of reaching, glass shuddering in the nearby buildings, some shattering (the ones that hadn't already been destroyed, at least). With the last syllable, a cyclone of infernal red-hot flames gouted from Fjorrd's throat, the nord breathing a column of intense flames directly for the Fazent.

King Asgore Dreemurr

——The Quiet Forest [Dedede Campaign]——

"It matters not who started it," Asgore replied calmly. "I am ending it. We are trespassing on his lands, it is only reasonable that we should obey his terms and leave at once. If someone were to appear in your own home and begin breaking your stuff, surely you'd be upset as well, would you not?" the monster mirrored Whispy's own question, though with less aggression behind it, stroking his blonde beard as he did so. "Just apologize and we can be on our way, no harm no foul."

Tali'Zorah nar Rayya vas Normandy

——Unknown Underground Cavern [Eggpire Campaign]——

"Bosh'tet," the Quarian grumbled as she brushed herself off, checking feverishly for any signs of suit punctures along her body. Her HUD indicated nothing of the sort, but she'd learned long ago that sometimes trusting your own eyes over an envirosuit's functions was probably better, a lesson from her late father.

Once satisfied that she'd suffered no detrimental damage that made her susceptible to infection, Tali glared upward at the hole to see the reason for her concern: buzzing droids of some sort of earth animal design. Some kind of insect. It gave her the creepy crawlies, like when she'd seen her first Rachni.

Kirin's question interrupted her thoughts, and the Quarian responded with a sarcastic, "Of course, falling into pits is a hobby of mine," before she raised her left arm, Omni-Tool activating as it began to do a thorough seismic scan of the area, sending radio signals out that would bounce around the walls, mapping out the tunnel as they went, giving Tali a good idea of where they'd need to move.

Captain William Joseph Blazkowicz

——The Half-Flattened Jungle [Specter Campaign]——

That was a British accent. No doubt about it. If I'm gonna be dead honest, I was wholly expecting the words to be in German. Some part of me could only think of tyrannical rulers being German, nothing more, nothing less. "That's great, the Brits turned into Monkey Nazi's," I sniffed indignantly. The talk of fertile soil was . . . interestin'. I'm not too certain on what could be done with that, but the mention of "Station 13C" was a damn strong indicator that this faction wasn't small-scale. Not to mentioned there was a whole detachment of monkey-drivin' brush-rollers steamin' about crushin' the jungle.

"Alright little guy," I spoke toward the monkey. "Can you point us to Station 13C? We won't hurt you if you do."

Tal'Set of the Saquin Nation

——Hills of Baumer [Calamity Campaign]——

Stealth was clearly optional, as the native american slunk his way about the peripheral of the army, wary of any stray creatures he may come across, but he was proving successful in his endeavor. A few minutes later, peering out of a bush, Tal'Set glared at the massive tree, massive enough that their area of operations seemed to be quite literally built into it. How intriguing.

Deploying one of his Spider Mines, the warrior set down the bug-like mechanical drone, which proceeded to crawl rapidly away, observed and controlled by a small pad in the Son of Stone's hands. The drone drew nearer and nearer to the base, but once it reached a decent pocket of the enemies, Tal'Set set it to begin releasing gas, a noxious green plumage that would counteract anything that breathed any amount of oxygen, the gas choking out those who breathed it before they'd begin throwing up, before dying in their own sick.

This, however, was merely a diversion. The Spider Mine would scuttle about while it released the gas on autopilot, before it would eventually explode after leaving Tal'Set's range, the Fury of Hope slinking away back the way he came from while eyes would hopefully be drawn to the suicidal Spider Mine.

MISSION ONE (A) - TRIVIAL

——The Spirit Crystal Tombs——

Jowls pulled back to reveal his row of sharp and yellow fangs, Zygetus had risen his pack to high alert. Slowly, they began to fan out, moving from their gathered spot to explore more of the cave in search for what Zygetus was sensing. The black-haired Brute slowly pulled out a strange crimson weapon, with orange spikes jutting out of the back of it as he sniffed the air, his gaze turning fully toward Samus, though he still could not see her. He seemed to have pinpointed her location though, as he raised his weapon toward her, his other hand rising to his chest, finger hovering over a small button on his combat harness.

MISSION ONE (B) - TRIVIAL

——UAC Research Facility Prometheus——

Howard was quick to move, the sound of screeching closing in. Presumably, Masaru was hot on his tail, the two descending back down from level 4 and toward the gondola earlier seen. The glass doors that opened to reveal it fully also revealed that, while it had windows, they didn't appear entirely necessary, as the rail extended up the somewhat claustrophobic stone tunnel, rising up into darkness. The door led onto a small platform that extended a walkway out to the entrance of the gondola, which appeared to be a regular mode of transport for the researchers who used to work down here.

Seats lined the interior of the gondola, as did safety bars on the ceiling, and two control panels on either side of the ride, indicating which direction the gondola could move in.

With the sounds of Imps drawing ever-nearer, the thundering of claws on metal reaching their ears now, options were once again left limited.

MISSION ONE (C) - TRIVIAL

——Banished Outpost Gau'lgerrk——

Copen's tactic proved successful, as he managed to slip right between the Brute's much larger legs, the Berserker already swinging downward with a fist, one that slammed into the floor where his head had been a split second before. With contact on the ground, and successfully evading damage from the raging Brute, all that remained was a couple grunts one the three Brutes, one of them (the Berserker) roaring toward the ceiling before turning and pummeling once again after the Adept Slayer.

It was here however that the ceiling turret fully activated, and similar ballistics to the Brutes weapons began to fire, long and thick spikes made of superheated metal, each one at least a foot thick, and driving more than half of their length into whatever surface they contacted before coming to a stop, the barrels pumping back to release their attack at about three spikers per second.

Fortunately for Copen, and unfortunately for the Berserker, the Brute had raged right in its trajectory. Before he could reach Copen again, several thick spikes of glowing orange metal plunged into his back, the tips sticking out of his front. It was only about a couple seconds, but the Berserker was none the wiser to his fate as he snarled at Copen, still racing forward---before he fell face-first to the floor, sliding to a stop, and providing no more shield to take the turret's onslaught for iX.

A swirling inferno was Fjorrd's response, flames spewing out from his throat to counter the bullets---and it worked, the red-hot flames melting and deforming the bullets, leaving them unable to reach their target. The flames even managed to reach the Fazent, engulfing its front. After a moment, the machine flew directly forwards, revealing its front had been charred by Fjorrd's attack, pink lights now wavering, a missile pod on the back of the Fazent opening up as the drone soared over the dragonborn.

Missiles were not what came out, however. Many pieces of scrap shot out from the drone, threatening to crush the nord, when Aegislash intervened, making use of King's Shield to cast a projection of his shield's design above the two, the scrap bouncing off the barrier and landing in the area around them.

Copen
The defense turret had shot the Berserker down, leaving just a few enemies in his way. The turret was still a threat, prompting Copen to start moving to avoid its shots, the cyborg leaping over the Brute's body and heading further down the hallway. Attacking the turret would likely be a waste of time, not to mention leave him vulnerable to attacks from the aliens, so iX headed straight for one of the Grunts, thrusters leaving a trail of pink flames in his wake.

Making use of his Recoil Dash, Copen would send the creature flying into one of the Brutes, now aware of the weakness in their back tanks. He would then do the same with the following Grunt, this time targeting the other Brute. And if any were still standing after that? He'd close the distance in less than a second with his Bullit Dash, stopping just short of his foe before following up with a three-hit combo, Razor Wheel enlarging after the third hit, though it wouldn't be shot out as a Boomerazor this time around. Not for now, at least.

"Hah hah!" the nord laughed loudly as his friend deflected the incoming attacks, leaving the dragonborn to follow up with a leap toward the mechanical beast, bursting forward a little higher than he needed to, but he was aiming upward a bit, assuming the robot would try to veer skyward again, in which event he would nail it dead-center with his frost axe's.

Copen Dexterity: 16
Copen Roll: 2
Copen Total: 18

Brute 1 Speed: 5
Brute 1 Roll: 17
Brute 1 Total: 22
Brute 2 Speed: 5
Brute 2 Roll: 8
Brute 2 Total: 13

Results:
Copen is only successful against one Brute.

Brute Damage: 18

Brute 1: 25/25 HP
Brute 2: 7/25 HP

The first grunt was pummeled away screaming his head off, and when he one of the Brutes, it worked as Copen had intended. The methan pack detonated, and the Brute was flung backward with a snarl, tumbling to the ground while the second Brute acted more quickly, batting the Grunt aside, leaving it to detonate against the wall.

"Stupid human!" it roared, before Copen was on it in the next moment, slashing and hacking with his combo move.

1st Hit: 1
2nd Hit: 7
3rd Hit: 11
Total Damage: 19

Brute 1: 6/25
Brute 2: 7/25

The razor wheel was lodged inside of the Brute's chest cavity, but even as magenta blood rained from the hacking, and dribbled from his mouth, the alien grinned, reaching to grab Copen by the arm and attempt to yank it from his socket, all while the other Brute got back to his feet, tossing his weapon aside and charging forward, entering a similar state of berserker rage as the earlier brute, racing forward.

The Monkeys scratched it's head in response to this. It didn't know how to respond directly. Instead it flailed it's feet around, swinging on Lucario like a swing set before it's feet for enough momentum to tap one of the buttons on the bronze disc with it's feet.

It projected an outlook of the forest, and a plat map overlayed atop it. It was kinda faded to see, but the white text on the outline were unmistakeable. They were standing on the would-be Station 13 C

Masaru

This was starting to get old. He did not like being on the run like this. It didn't fit a hero. So as Masaru entered the Gondola, he gave a snort.

"Yeah, I think I'm done with this noise."

He hoisted his bat up, before swinging it at the console to the right, triggering it before smashing it in, sparks flying out. He really didn't care about demon tech enough to learn about it, and he saw smashing stuff working in movies like Star Wars, so this ought to be like that!

Fjorrd's read was practically perfect, as the Fazent had turned around to fire its minigun once more, rising a little higher into the air. The frost axes slammed into its head, cutting into the already damaged machine, the drone seizing up for a moment, before its jets struggled to function, dropping roughly onto the ground.

A wave of pink energy seemed to shimmer all over the mech's body, a large orb of light leaving it, the Fazent ceasing to function, its lights fading. The ball of light arced over to the pedestal with the missing statue, after which it faded away, leaving a Sumeragi soldier in its place. His armor was purple in color, a scarlet visor covering his face, a blaster attached to his hip.

"Damn you...!" He growled, dropping to a knee, shoulders heaving. He seemed fairly exhausted.

Copen
These Brutes could take quite the beating. Even as the Razor Wheel cut into the alien, Copen's foe reached out for his arm---but moments before he could grasp it, iX activated its Boomerazor function, the large buzzsaw gaining speed before shooting forwards, intending on cleaving through the Brute completely before he could counterattack.

The other Brute closed in on him, charging much like his Berserker counterpart, giving Copen little time to act. Should the first Brute fall to the cyborg's attack, Copen would use his Recoil Dash on the charging Brute, pink flames bursting from his thrusters, going for a shoulder bash. The Recoil Dash had incredible power for Copen's size; back at the Grave Pillar, he'd used it to shatter boulders and push ultradense blocks, not to mention send most enemies flying like he had done with the Grunts moments ago.

If the first Brute was still standing, however, he'd use his Recoil Dash on that one, seeking to either drive the Razor Wheel through his foe or send him backwards, getting him out of the way of the charge.

In the blink of an eye, Samus fired an ice missile towards Zygetus, uncloaking herself just as it left her arm cannon. Knowing the chaos that was soon to follow, Samus ran towards any cover she might find.

Lucario
A hologram? It wasn't entirely unfamiliar technology in his world, but Lucario hadn't known any Monferno or Chimchar to use them. Perhaps it was a regional thing?
Nevertheless, they had enough information. Starting to feel sorry for the creature, Lucario finally released his grip on the monkey.
"Fine. You can go free. And erm, thank you." it felt strange to thank a monkey, especially one that tried to run them over just a few minutes ago, but it still provided more than enough of a direction.
Lucario bent down and grabbed the bronze circle, studying the insignia.
"I suppose we could use this to signal to this Specter person."
Between the face insignia and the midair building, the monkey's leader seemed rather vain.

The ape was quick to scamper off, it's red Pipo helmet flashing as it fled. There were some answers from the engagement, which also explained the several other smoke clouds far off on the distance. Looks like there were many more of those rollers coming in due time. Not much to be gained fighting a division of forest clearer monkeys. It was time to decide what to do next.

From the path the steamroller they fought paved, it looked like the biome was going to shift into grassy hills littered with windmills on the left, or a canyons covered with skulls on the right.

Nozomi
“Embodiment of hate, huh? Well, I guess I chose the right crowd to shoot at, then,” Nozomi joked, laughing lightly. If that was true, then it sounded to her like those creatures would be difficult, if not impossible to make a negotiation with. Let alone recruitment, which she found herself unlikely to even attempt. She had a pretty good lineup of demons at the moment, anyways, Ame-no-Uzume being one of six.

“Well, I’m sure I’ve faced worse than this Ganon fella,” she smiled, recalling her and her friends’ numerous battles against the fearsome Shesha. Ever since then, the group- and by extension, her- had been relatively unstoppable, taking down mighty demon after mighty demon on the path to a better life.

“Time to get you back in the smartphone, by the by,” Nozomi said, turning her head to look at the hovering Ame-no-Uzume. The demon stuck her tongue out at the hunter in retaliation, but made no move to escape as she suddenly appeared as a cluster of data, being absorbed back into Nozomi’s phone.

Aggron
The metallic monster now appeared tired of the strange fusion between combat and conversation, letting out a loud huff from his nostrils, stomping past Asgore and away from Whispy Woods.

Conclusion: Bored.

The Pokémon traversed through the least narrow passage between trees that it could find, soon arriving at a sizeable rock that was within viewing distance. Deciding to seize the opportunity for self-improvement, the large lad bent down and began to sharpen its steel horns against the stone.

Ethan Winters
“Fuck…”
Ethan pulled himself up from the ground, having taken a nasty landing, though not really as bad as the one he’d taken right before the death of that one vampire bitch, Dimitrescu. He pulled himself up from the ground, making sure that he was still carrying his bag- yup, still hanging onto his shoulder.

It was only when Ethan stood up that the true damage revealed itself. Two small holes in his worn shirt, oozing with crimson blood. The man was wincing in pain, but didn’t seem to regard them as much more than an inconvenience.

He’d definitely need to get pluck those bullets out sometime before the flesh regrew. That was one of the downsides of quick regeneration- digging the fucking projectiles out of yourself, or else they become part of you.

“I’m good,” he stated calmly, a bit peeved that he was the only one that had been struck by those machines with the terrible aim. The ol’ Winters luck, striking again.

Well, it seems their cover was blown. Or at least, the armoured stranger's was, as they fired some sort of rocket at the group of.. whatever things these guys were. Well, no point in holding his own cover, then. After all, they did need to work together if they wanted to get out of here.. though he wasn't too sure if he could put up a good fight against these guys.

..Worth a shot anyway, right?

Jumping off of the wall, Ray flipped himself in the air, flying sideways, both arms held above the brutes' heads. His blaster let out two large, explosive red rounds from his Flare Gun, while his Cannon arm fired a Straight Bomb right towards the head of the one who had spotted his geared-up teammate in the first place. Finally, as Ray flew over their heads, he had dropped three Satellite Drones above them, which would first deploy and, by the point he had landed on the opposing wall, would go for a divebomb straight for the brutes.

" ..so, evil monsters rising from a greater evil to take down good? Now where have I heard that before.. "

A laughing emote popped up besides the Terrarian's head as he expressed joy at his own joke. Reaching up for his own helmet, he had briefly removed it to breathe in the fresh air - well, asides from the stench of blood, gunpowder, smoke and other kind of scents one would smell after a large fight, that is. His pixelated face came to shine, revealing himself to be human.. or at least, his reality's version of humans. He had now faced the group of strangers who, just like him, were absorbed into this world for one reason or another.

" You can call me Terrarian. I'm sort of a Jack-Of-All-Trades, Master of Everything kind of guy. I already know Kirby over here, but who are the rest of you? "

Twin Peaks
Tal'Set's plan went off without a hitch, and in the aftermath were considerably less monsters. Many suffered at the mercy of the gas, but the explosion also caught a few, slinging them about but only killing the weaker ones. After the attack, they were much more alert. Scared, even. Despite their efforts, none were able to find the Native American warrior yet...

Akkala Citadel
Nell was not amused at the downplaying of their foe. "You handled those monsters well, but they were only a sliver of the forces at his disposal. It would help you out if you learned to respect your foe before it's too late, as well as avoid the dishonor of the thousands that've been murdered by his cold hand." Nell shook his head. "Kakariko Village. That's your next stop if you want to challenge Calamity Ganon. Follow your friend that ran off and go through the Twin Peaks, then the next path is the one to the village."

???
As Tali scanned her surroundings, the feedback was fuzzy. It seemed that there was interference; this place was brimming with a weird energy. However, the largest concentration of invisible energy came from straight ahead. So powerful, in fact, that one could feel it tugging at their subconscious, calling them deeper in.
Psyduck ignored this for the moment, just laying on his back to rest with a huff.

Jungle
Kragg looked up at the hologram, finally content with his investigation of the machine. Razing the forest? That must be the Fire Empire's doing... and with the airship... Kragg finally, yet incorrectly, put it together. The Air Armada and Fire Empire were teaming up- two of the greatest threats to Aether after that Nexus-thingy. The stone-grinding sound came again, but this time in a context of determination.

Sonic came to his own, more correct conclusion. "If that's who I think it is, this place is in trouble. His name is Specter, and last I heard, he's in cahoots with Eggman."

Jibanyan
The cat walked out of the flour cloud, coming across the unconscious body of the Psi-User. Satisfied, he shook off his fur to scatter the soot and flour about the floor. Then, he scrambled atop the counter with some effort, and raised his arms in victory! "We did it! ...Who were those guys, anyway?"
Jibanyan plopped down, swinging his paws over the side of the countertop. "They said something about killing someone..," he shrugged, "Eh, I wasn't listenying very much."

Max Brass
After a few moments in that uncomfortable horizontal position, the Commish's mechanical gloves disappeared, getting him out of the grasp of the tree. He backflipped off of the blue platform, characteristically landing in a pose to show off his muscles, which he soon altered so that one of his hands was pointing at Whispy Woods. "Alright, I'm convinced! TREE, POINT US TOWARD SOMEONE THAT WE CAN WHOOP INSTEAD AND WE'LL LEAVE YOU ALONE!"

Officer Howard
As much as Howard hated retreating, that boy was his responsibility. ...Did he just smash the control panel of the gondola? Gritting his teeth, the cop summoned the Arm Legion yet again, which went to work pushing the car dozens of feet away from the dock, peeling away any restraints beforehand. He had to make sure the kid was safe before the next move.
Then, it was swapped out for the Beast Legion, which Howard hopped on and charged back into the facility, aiming for the room where the paths split. The officer might be diving into the demon horde, but he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he left any potential survivors behind.

"It is thankful that I had payed attention for thee." The Mirror spoke, walking past the bodies. "They are under control of a mere man. That name can only belong to a human. Perhaps this shall be easier than I hadth predicted."

Seeing no more use in this location, he needed to find a way to locate this Demerzel. Perhaps a castle or some other landmark.

"Come. Let's us find higher ground."

Captain William Joseph Blazkowicz

——The Half-Flattened Jungle [Specter Campaign]——

Huh, it seemed Station 13C wasn't just any place, but the area we were standin' in right now. That explained the brush-rollers---they were clearing the land to make room for the new facility. That indicated there were at least 36 to 40 similar stations out there, if each one round about the rules of A-C following their corresponding numbers. That was a lot of places to worry about, and we needed better direction for---

And the monkey was gone, Lucario having let it go. The dog-thing did suggest using the left-behind insignia of Specter to signal the ape, which I found to be a seriously bad idea. "If I could be candid, I'd like to point out the fact that we don't want this tyrannical dictator of a monkey to put his eye on us. Signalin' him would be a mistake."

I gestured toward the pasture over yonder. "We need to get somewhere safe, first. Get our bearings, and if you can hear what i'm hearin', then you know we're not safe to stay in this spot, especially if little monkey boy runs for help."

Fjorrd the Crusher

——City Slums [Sumeragi Campaign]——

What seemed to be another of the armored men emerged out of the now-destroyed machination---likely some kind of magic Fjorrd had yet encountered. The man evidently seemed to be out of breath, his arms shaking as he fell to a knee, cursing at the nord and his sword companion.

The Dragonborn raised a brow, glancing back toward Slash, before walking toward the armored man. "You seem to be a talented man. Perhaps you'll have more information for me than the last fellow."

"Come on you little bosh'tet . . ." Tali muttered to herself, slapping her Omni-Tool a couple times, but the data remained the same. There was undoubtedly some sort of electromagnetic interference coming from somewhere in the cavern, and even without her omni-tool, she could somehow get a feeling of where the strongest point of that source was.

Shaking her head, she lowered her arm just as Metabee made a remark using a very human expression regarding chickens (a foul-smelling human specialty used in 90% of their meals that involve meat). He started to stomp forward, at which point Tali slung her shotgun from her back once again, the weapon humming to life with activation. "Wait," she called to him. Much as she wasn't interested in any attention, the current situation had to be placed before her own feelings of discomfort, and she'd fallen in one too many Geth traps to be comfortable walking into any more. "There's an electromagnetic haze interfering with my omni-tool data, keeping me from mapping the area, but I think I know where the source might be. We don't want to walk into any traps if what's down there is hostile. So, I've got your back." She gestured for him to continue, before glancing behind them. "Anyone's welcome to join us."

His eyes hardened as Samus emerged, her ice missile hurtling right toward him. The black-haired Brute let out a loud grunt, pressing a button on his battle harness. Immediately, a shimmering film seemed to materialize over him, filtering with transparent light of yellow, blue, and red. A kinetic barrier, and as the ice made contact (the Brute not even bothering to move out of the way) it struck and erupted---but the resulting ice found itself incapable of materializing over the kinetic barrier, breaking apart as it did so, though the missile still managed to knock the alien back a step.

Kinetic Barrier: -12.75 Strength. 14.75 Strength Remaining.

Zygetus raised his Shredder, letting loose a row of orange-colored crystals that pierced through the air toward Samus, but he was interrupted before he could truly begin, having been focused on her, and not a small custom robo. The Straight Bomb pummeled against the side of his skull, bashing along the kinetic barrier.

Kinetic Barrier: -9.56 Strength. 5.19 Strength Remaining.

Despite the pull of the explosion as it appeared to attempt to gravitate objects affect toward Ray, the Kinetic Barrier appeared to actively negate these effects, notably weakening the integrity further in the process, losing 2 additional points of its strength (3.19).

The other attacks released by Ray, the 2-round burst Flare Gun with its explosive projectiles and the three Satellite Drones, which hovered in the air for a moment. The two blasts from the flare gun punched into a Brute's chest, who recoiled with a growl, but didn't seem down for the count. While they had trouble focusing on Ray, they instead confused his drones for him, and spiked metal began sailing upward just as the drones launched downward. Two were detonated prematurely, but one met its mark---striking the same Brute that Ray had already attacked. The explosive buckled the Brute again, but they were beginning to appear quite durable, as he snarled.

The other Brutes laughed at him for this, believing Ray (or rather, what they thought were weapons of Samus) were dispatched. Their laughter was short-lived as they turned toward the armored woman, unaware of a dive bombing custom robo hurtling down toward them, all opening fire on Samus as their pack leader had.

——UAC Research Facility Prometheus——

And thusly, Masaru was left behind by Howard, who raced off to look for an alternate route to save who he assumed to be the Director of this facility. As Masaru bashed on the consoles following Howard's pushing of the car, and subsequent departure, a suddenly hologram erupted in front of Masaru's face.

An adult human woman, by the looks of her, with unfocused eyes that stared straight forward, and a cashier-tier smile of fake sincerity. "Please stop that, passenger. Welcome to- Please stop that, you dumb bitch! Welcome to UAC Research Facility Prometheus! My name is Juno. Can I take you to the surface- Can I take you straight to hell?"

Seemed she had some issues, as every time she flickered from her usual blue self into a more crimson appearance, eyes momentarily livid with seeming bloodlust, smile turned wide and unnatural. Her voice remained the same, however, like a cheery customer service agent, voice bubbly and approachable, adding to any ludicrousy regarding her malfunctioning insults.

Howard found himself racing back into a trap, as the moment he was back in the lobby that intersected the stairwell, entrance to the gondola, and long hallway, several Imps, four to be exact, leaped down from the ceiling, appearing to have been in wait, one of them throwing a fireball toward him.

What didn't help matters was that the lights were beginning to flicker, dampening his sight to some degree, and the flickering appeared to be taking place down the hall where he'd been heading as well. If he didn't know any better, there seemed to be a rather large figure hulking at the other end of the hall, but the flickering lights made it difficult to see what it could be.

MISSION ONE (C) - TRIVIAL

——Banished Outpost Gau'lgerrk——

One small moment of shock was all that could register on the Brute's face before he was cleaved in half by the Boomerazor, enabling Copen to act quickly with the last Brute of the room, bursting towards him on a head-on collision. The Brute let out a snarl, reeling his arm back to throw it forward---but Copen was fast, shoulder-checking into the alien. The hairy beast let out a yowl as he went flying away, cracking his skull again the wall, before he ceased to move.

However, there was still the issue of the ceiling turret, as it had realigned with Copen's position and was in the process of firing several more shots out toward him.

The exit door a ways from the top of the ramp to the second floor remained lock, but there was a strange, almost diamond-shaped console beside it, undoubtedly used to operate the door. Without Lola, hacking into it would likely be extremely difficult, but there might be other means of bypassing the door's systems.

The demon had left him to his own devices. Finally. Looks like he got the drift. In this gondola from any monsters, he was surprised when a rather faulty AI came to life, giving him mixed messages. They seemed aggressive and yet docile. Flip flopping personalities. Unsure at what to do with the chick, he knew one thing: he didn't trust it for a second. So he raised his baseball bat comically while she was talking before he swung to smash where she was being projected from again.

The bat struck a small, thin, stretched rectangle of a light in the corner of the car, but it only seemed to make the woman flicker, even as the light smashed under his bat. "You dirty whore!" the hologram stated with pleasant cheer, flipping Masaru off, before the car rattled. Despite the destruction of the consoles, it seemed there was some outside element in control of the gondola---likely this hologram, being an AI, it might be controlling it from some central control room elsewhere.

The car suddenly began to speed, gathering rapid momentum as it traveled up the incline, screeching as it moved. "Please keep your arms and legs inside the car at all times- Please stick them out, lose those limbs!" she let out a polite chuckle.

With the destroyed consoles, it was likely there was another source of power controlling the car, either severing power to it, or disrupting the AI's connection, would likely stop the car, though the latter option might only keep it going the same speed rather than stopping it outright.

The lady proved to be more annoying than anticipated, refusing to just get squashed. She could be coming from anywhere, but there was no way he could just find where that was. Looking he had to begrudgingly let her live for now. That's when he had to clutch his ears, the gondola scraping and grinding along the tracks.

"Geez lady! When do they oil these things?!"

The car only seemed to be picking up speed, this tunnel apparently being quite long, but it undoubtedly had a destination, one likely rapidly approaching. There were no helpful indicators of what to do within the gondola, and the hologram appeared far too corrupt to be of actual service to anyone, maybe aside from a Demon-Demon.

However, there seemed to be hope.

"Hello? Hello?"

The same voice from the earlier console had now crackled in over the car's intercom speakers. The voice that belonged to the person Howard had left the boy to go save. "Are you there?" the woman's voice was quick, as though panicked. "We don't have much time! You need to deactivate Juno. Hit each of her projectors in the corners of the car. That's when someone called him, a familiar voice. It was that chick that Howard guy was talking to. Now he didn't know what a 'two-way frequency' was, but he did like the idea of actually killing this holographic chick. The bounty hunter turned as she ran, seeing Zygetus, who hardly seemed bothered by the missile, took aim, before Ray managed to come to her rescue. That said, many of the Brutes had their focus on her, firing out orange crystals from their alien firearms.
Samus forced another burst of speed, before leaping towards the cavern walls. She proceeded to kick off it, leaping high in the air, leaving the crystal projectiles crashing against the wall as she aimed her arm cannon.
She swept the weapon across the air, allowing the internal detector to lock on five brutes, including Zygetus, and fired her Storm Missile.
A... well, storm of missiles was fired at an astonishing rate, five of each homing in on a different Brute.
Samus checked her supply.

Two roots however, remained above ground and in front of Whispy, curling around each other much like a businessman's hands would do.
"State your plea." Whispy said, with hardly any politeness in his words. "I don't have all day."

However, their focus was now all on the armoured stranger, who blasted away with a missile salvo of their own at the groups of these monkey-like creatures. Well, why not help out a bit.. maybe a little something to help the missiles hit their targets?

With one leg put back and his blaster arm raised ahead of him, a faint red light emitted from the Custom Robo as his surfaces lit up in a neon-red tint. For one moment, he had dashed forward. But in the blink of an eye, he was gone. Within the next, he was a bit ahead, re-appearing but not re-adjusting his stance. With several disappearances and re-appearances, the Robo had repeatedly charged through their legs in a straight path. Maybe this would his ally's explosives to dispose of these creatures more easily.

Officer Howard
The policeman was no fool- he had expected resistance, which had come from the ceiling. Leaping off of the Beast Legion, and over the fireball, Howard summoned the Sword Legion in the previous's stead. As the Legionis twirled through the air, the Legion was a hurricane of blades beneath him, slashing at all the imps beneath him. It was then that Howard landed on the floor; he yanked on the Astral Chain to get the Legion by his side again, while conjuring his blaster. As he raised the gun, the Arrow Legion was then brought forth, raising both of its crossbow-hands alongside its master. After but a moment, they fired, a barrage of blue energy bullets and arrows streaming down the hallway to firstly finish off any of the imps, in the unlikely event that they were still standing, until targeting the mystery monster at the end of the hallway before it could attack.

More information for you? I don’t know who was weak enough to let you in on Sumeragi’s plans, but I’ll make sure they pay dearly! And so will you!”

The soldier grabbed his blaster, rising to his full height before firing a barrage of red-purple plasma shots in Fjorrd’s direction.

Store Ruins
With the soldiers taken care of, the trio kept progressing through the ruined shopping mall. Heading further down the hall and through where the Sumeragi forces had come from, the three were met with a set of elevators, all of them stuck at the top, unmoving. Fortunately, there was a staircase right next to them, and the trio was quick to begin their ascent.

Two voices could be heard as they approached the next floor.

“…went off over at the fourth floor. Think it’s a Mino?” The first came in, her voice that of a middle-aged woman.

“Doubt it. We’ve pretty much searched this entire place already, and ended up only finding a couple.” The second one replied, voice stoic and around the same age as his comrade. “Let’s check on it, though chances are that thing may have killed whoever it spotted anyway.”
The two’s metallic footsteps could be heard walking down the hall, heading towards the staircase Kiwi, Jibanyan and Mercurymon were at.

Kirin & Gunvolt
“Oh, you bet we’re tagging along,” Kirin said, walking over to Tali and Metabee, Gunvolt right beside her. “There’s no way we would leave you guys to explore down there all by yourselves.”

She raised an arm, pointing a finger towards the dark tunnel in front of the group.

“Alright, lead the way!”

Copen

The two Brutes were out of commission, leaving the turret as his only threat. Entering Bullit-Shift, Copen was quick to fly towards the ramp and away from the turret, leaving most of its shots to strike the ground he’d stood on moments earlier.

With a quick rebound off of the ramp itself, the cyborg made it to the second floor, breaking line of sight with the turret and swapping back to Break-Shift as he propelled himself towards the diamond-shaped console. Reinforcements would likely be on their way now, so he had to make things quick. Even without Lola at his side, he figured he’d have to give the console a chance; if he couldn’t get it to open the door, there was a chance he could at least get some information out of it. He’d take anything that would give him an edge in this place.

More buffoons. Tis a tedious task but one that busy be endured. Mercurymon didn't break pace as he went up the stairs, not all too worried about facing the consequences for them. Rounding the corner to face the talking figures, the green warrior spoke out.

"Forgive me for being so frank, but I have a tight schedule to keep." Mercurymon's lips moved up and down. "Point me in the direction of Demerzel. Surely that is within your capabilities?"

Axe - Jungle
Axe was, in all honesty, struggling to keep up entirely. But, he tried his best, at least...
"Well, yeah, I think the old man's got a point.." He decided to agree with BJ, not so sure of signalling an enemy. Especially given he'd seen that Specter went so far in the tournament, and given how Axe himself didn't he wasn't exactly ecstatic about his chances. "And besides, while we rest, it's a good idea to...um, figure out what we can all do, so to plan around that!" He added to his own point.

Kiwi - Store Ruins

Kiwi had been...well, not so happy about the previous fight, but chose not to bring his own upset up in worries it would upset the other two now.
"Wait!" However, before he could stop Mercurymon from what he assumed would be attacking the next soldiers they saw, Mercurymon stepped out...and talked. Kiwi let out an audible sigh of relief, following. "Yeah, I'm sure you guys have an important job...but we really need to get on with this, and we'd rather not hurt yous..." He explained, letting a slight singing voice out with it - A pleasant tune to it with the mildest of winds behind it.

Tethi - Twin Peaks
Seeing the plan of Tal'Set enacted, Tethi decided to take her chance as she moved a bit closer to the enemies still up with her crossbow ready as she hid behind a rock, readying her crossbow before firing several bolts of light rays at the monsters, trying to stay behind the rock for cover. Khepri was flying around the citadel still, worried for where Tethi could be...they were rarely seperate, after all.

The two soldiers in blue armor were, of course, taken aback by the sudden appearance of a massive suit of armor with a mirror for a face, each of them drawing out a plasma blaster before hearing Mercurymon’s words.

“Demerzel?” The one on the left spoke, revealing she was the female. “His location is highly classified. Very few even have an inkling as to where he resides,” she spoke, shifting her aim over to Kiwi, who had walked out of hiding moments after Mercurymon, leaving her partner as the only one aiming at Mercurymon.

“And just why would you want to know about his whereabouts?” The male added, stance becoming slightly more aggressive, though it seemed Kiwi’s pleasant tone had made both soldiers ease up a little.

"Tis a trifle, really. To usurp his throne and relinquish thy hold on the city. Since, from thy own lips, thou hadn't a faintest clue as to his whereabouts, I see little reason to keep whelps such as thyselves alive. Unless one wishes to bring thy firepower to the winning team?"

Mercurymon seemed to boast unwavering belief that he would be successful in defeating their leader. Before they could respond to his offer, his wagged a finger.

"Tsk tsk. Don't try to attack, less one is to end up yet another mark amongst the tally."

Kiwi - Store Ruins
Upon one of the soldiers turning her aim to Kiwi, the bard quickly shot their arms to the air, stopping the singing with a gulp.
"Look, er..." They flashed a look to Mercurymon, frowning at his own answer. "I know, what I'm about to say is a little contradictory to him, but long story short, if we find him there's a chance we can prevent some pretty bad stuff from happening. To everyone." They added that last part on, just to be safe as their singing voice poked through ever so slightly before looking to Mercurymon.

"And hey, if they don't wanna join us, you don't have to kill them, you know! Right?" They told off Mercurymon, looking over to the soldiers with that last part. "Well, I hope we don't have to, anyway" Was also soon murmured under their breath in addition, their goals to be pacifistic clear.

King Asgore Dreemurr

——The Quiet Forest [Dedede Campaign]——

Plea?

Well, that could have been one way to put it, though Asgore would have worded it differently. Regardless, he decided to put his royal chops to work. While Toriel had always been the one to handle all the formalities behind the scenes, Asgore had always been a man of the people, and very good with his words . . . even if his words sometimes led his people down a dark path. At least that was over with now.

"If you would be so kind as to point us to the nearest exit of your lovely home, we will make way for it immediately. I apologize for this recent transgression, though I do hope should we cross paths again it be of a much lighter nature," he chortled pleasantly, as though he'd just made some kind of high-brow joke.

Fjorrd the Crusher

——City Slums [Sumeragi Campaign]——

"HAH!" the dragonborn boomed, his haughty nature receptive to the soldier's will to fight—an easy way to earn a nord's respect. A proper nord, that is. Conjuring his iron shield, Fjorrd let it take the shots for him—but found that iron, while great against most arrows, wasn't too fond of the light-based projectiles emitted from the man's weapon. Holes began to easily melt into the shield, and upon seeing this, the warrior frowned. This wasn't ideal at all, now he'd have to repair it later!

Quickly, Fjorrd made to dive behind a nearby flaming metal chariot, using it as cover, uncertain how different such blasts against his skin may be. "Slash!" the nord called. "Remember those worm beasts? Distract him for me, so I may move in!"

Tali'Zorah nar Rayya vas Normandy

——Unknown Underground Cavern [Eggpire Campaign]——

"Let's not dawdle," Tali replied curtly toward the others as she pulled up her omni-tool again, continuing to send out EM waves to bounce off the cavern's walls. While there would remain that interference, she hoped that by walking closer to it, her rough map of the cave would fill itself out a little better as she carved a path deeper within.

As her other hand held onto her shotgun, she activated the helmet lights of her envirosuit, two small lights on the lower cheeks of her mask, near the jaw, lit up to cast two separate beams of unfiltered light, cutting into the encapsulating darkness. Deciding it was uncomfortably quiet, Tali opted to speak; "So . . . if we're all going to be sticking together for a while, we might as well share a little more from our names," she said. "I'm doubting that we're all from the same galaxy, maybe even universe. We could start by . . . sharing some of our cultures? Biology? Any potentially ancient and eternal supermachines that wipe out all sentient life where you live every few hundred thousand years, by chance?"

Tal'Set of the Saquin Nation

The distraction had worked, and many enemies had been slain. He was willing to take his small win and head back, using his distraction as a means to slip away and back toward the human castle unnoticed—until he looked to his left, peering through the shrubs not yet touched by the flying man's fire, to see a small girl firing a crossbow over a boulder she was using as cover.

This was problematic; he couldn't just leave her here to fend for herself, but he'd risk exposing himself if he not only ran to help her, but tried to convince her to return to the castle with him. Her method of fighting, while a valiant effort, was not the stealthiest. Her strange arrows gave off too much light, it would be easy to see where they were coming from. Most monsters were dumb, but the warrior had learned long ago that a few were not, and an army so large and organized would need to have its own form of leadership.

Deciding it was worth the risk, Tal'Set bolted from his cover, sprinting his way toward Tethi, doing his best to try and use what little cover he could find on the way to his destination, but there was not much.

Captain William Joseph Blazkowicz

——The Half-Flattened Jungle [Specter Campaign]——

He called me old.

. . .

God damnit, I am old.

I'll have white hair by the time my kids are old enough to kill Nazi's.

Still, the kid agreed with me. Much as I wasn't sure about some of these mismatched creatures, I figured I'd been in enough ragtag groups to know one when I see one.

"Plannin' comes after," I replied, gesturing toward the distant canyons to out left. "Canyons and crevices are a good way to keep outta sight for a short time. We don't know who or what are livin' 'round those windmills, if anyone," this time I gestured to my 12 o'clock. "It's too open of an area, we'll stick out like a sore thumb."

Without waiting for any real response to take form, I began to walk my way toward those canyons . . . covered with skulls. It looked more dangerous, but I'd rather take a close quarters fight over gettin' caught with my pants down in the open range of a prairie.

Samus bounded about, and fired her Storm Missiles. Brutes roared at the sudden barrage, but those that tried to dive out of the way were unbalanced by the small Ray's movements, one of the Brutes snarling at him—and the pack was almost cut down entirely in an instant. A cloud of dust and debris was kicked up violently, obscuring sight—sight that Zygetus did not need. His keen nose was able to track Samus quite nicely, though the attack had finally broken his kinetic barrier, which would need quite a while to recharge back to full strength. He'd need to get personal.

The explosion had another side effect than just the obscuring elements and the annihilation of five Brutes, wiping out all but Zygetus. A rumble shook the cavern, threatening to collapse it down upon all of their heads. Several rocks and stalactites descended from the ceiling, crashing against the floor, the sound obscuring Zygetus and his approach.

A mere foot in front of Samus' face, Zygetus emerged from the cloud of dust, a hulking form of armor, muscle, and matted black fur. He roared as he slammed his fist forward. Unable to dodge in time, Zygetus proving to be just quick and sudden enough, his missive fist slammed against Samus' helmet, knocking her back into the wall behind her.

Wasting little time, the debris clinging to his fur, coating Zygetus in a gray residue, he darted forward to try and grapple Samus, aiming to tear her apart with a snarl.

MISSION ONE (B) - TRIVIAL

——UAC Research Facility Prometheus——

Masaru would be suddenly thrown backward as the glass shattered, and Juno's hologram faded entirely. The reason for his lack of balance was the screeching of metal, and the slowing of the cart, inertia landing him on his rear.

"I'm reading green!" the woman's voice came in. "Wait . . . you're still going too fast, you'll hit a barrier! Kid, you need to tear open the panel beneath this speaker and pull on a red cord inside, that should force the car into a full stop—you're gonna want to hold on to something."
——————

The Imps proved to be of nearly equal speed, Howard's initial whirl of blades cutting down only one as the other three leaped from harm's way, tossing more balls of fire at the man, though his landing avoided these—and his next attack was something the jittery and quick-footed Imps weren't able to simply leap from, a series of blue projectiles slugging them one after the other as they tried to avoid the attacks, until all three were put down—and Howard turned his attention on the figure he'd seen.

The bolts whizzed at it . . . and seemed to meet their mark, but the hulking figure had no reaction. At least nothing to indicate it had been harmed, the bolts and bullets seeming to peter out against its thick hide. Then, it charged, presenting astounding speed from such a large figure, before it burst out into the light with a roar, its arms channeling with blue flame-like energy, which it proceeded to try and pummel Howard into the ground with, exerting extreme prejudice. Regardless if Howard dodged or failed to, the impact of the beasts fists would release an explosive, omnidirectional blast of concussive force.

ENEMY: Hell Knight

MISSION ONE (C) - TRIVIAL

——Banished Outpost Gau'lgerrk——

Copen's first method of using the odd console was to simply place his hand on its flat surface . . . and by some stroke of luck, it reacted instantly. The door hummed in response, before it slid open, just as the turret had whirled about to face Copen once again. Simply moving on into the next room would leave him out of its range, but the inside of this next room was a bit more expansive than the last. It seemed to be some kind of assembly station, several mechanical arms shifting and moving about, putting together a large and complex-looking machine, before it would be lowered into some deeper sublevel, replaced by the core of the machine being built lowering from the ceiling.

"The human is nearing the surface elevator! Stop it!" the voice of the same Brute from before came in, but the occupants inside this room seemed more than prepared. Another small gang of Brutes, three this time, but they were supported by a new type of enemy than the Grunts. Avian-like aliens stood in front of the Brutes, with long and stringy limbs, bulging eyes, and a ridge of multicolored feathers going from their heads and down their backs, popping out of their light brown, leathery skin, the rest of them covered in a deep blue armor.

ENEMY: Jackal Freebooter

"Human prey!" one of them screeched, bringing their weapons to bear, which Copen would recognize as plasma pistols. The Brutes had the same weapons as before, though one of them was carrying an orange-colored needler (the shredder). Most notably, however, were the shields of the three Jackals in the room. Energy barriers propped up to protect not just the Jackals cowering behind, but the Brutes behind them, leaving only their top halves and heads open to attack. The blue energy shields appeared extremely tensile, and would like actively counter and deflect any ballistic or kinetic weapons. It would require energy to overload them, but the Jackals also had a small weak point, a hole in the side of their shields where they stuck their weapons through, firing toward Copen.

"The robots from your world sound like a heck of a drag, lady." Metabee commented, his arms behind his head. "My world ain't got robots like that. Humans made Medabots to serve and fight for 'em, but I ain't serving no human. I'm my own Medabot."

Metabee put a lot of weight in independence. Servitude wasn't his style, especially not for some human to claim all the credit for all the stuff he accomplished. Arching an optic, the yellow Medabot continued.

"If it's any reassurance miss, I ain't in the market for bustin' up planets. Only bustin' buckets. Sure you've heard the name, Metabee."

"They like, totally didn't listen to our performance yo." Astra muttered to his partner.

"yeah yeah, if they weren't trying to sneak off, maybe they would have heard the introductions..."

"Do we feel it?"

"Do we not?"

"Of course we don't..." the both sighed, sticking their thumbs down.

Masaru

The kid staggered back after the hologram was destroyed, however this did little to solve the problem as the gondola continued to barrel down the track. That's when the mysterious voice told him his next instructions. His pride wouldn't get in the way when his life was on the line! So he quickly went to work, bashing open the side of the panel with a good swing of his bat, several colored wires spilling out and dangling.

Grabbing a fist full of them, Masaru's eyes raced across them. Green...no...redredred c'mon- there it is! Now if I just yank it out like this...!

SCREEEEEEEECH

Masaru's gamble with all the cords resulted in, well, a gambled result. While the car was rapidly slowing down, the screeching now ear-piercing, the other cords resulted in different effects. For one, all the lights in the car flickered out, plunging Masaru into total blackness, save for the faint yellow light of grinding steel as the gondola roared to a stop. Simultaneously, all the doors shot out, disappearing into the tunnel, likely a means of clearing any exits in the event of an emergency. The lack of power also prevented the woman from offering any more advice to Masaru, the line sufficiently cut.

Masaru's grip wasn't tight enough, and as he was thrown to the side by the sudden slowing of the vehicle, inertia once again tussling him, he was being thrown almost directly for the open doorway that he'd just cleared, the threat of falling outside and suffering serious damage a serious reality.

Yet, even if he fell outside, he was spared from too harmful of injuries, as the slowing was enough to bring the car almost to a standstill in seconds, before it eventually did come to a loud finish, a small hiss escaping it, wheels glowing slightly molten from the intense friction.

Despite the encroaching void around him, Masaru would be able to see faint light ahead, likely the end of the tunnel, and where the car was originally intended to drop him off. Despite the quiet calm that followed the intense spectacle of the car, there sounded to be a scuttling along the walls around Masaru, but if he turned in their direction, the sound would stop.

Something was watching him.

Nozomi
"Yikes..."
What she'd said had clearly struck a nerve. Of course, she didn't mean to underestimate the foe that these people had been up against for who knew how long. It had merely been a reflection of her resume when it came to battling the forces of evil, the most impressive of which being the Divine Powers.

That, alongside getting a spear pointed in her face, didn't give Nozomi the most remarkable first impression. She wasn't one to hold a grudge, of course, or even really be too troubled by it. Just an observation.
"Well, thanks Nell," she said casually, tapping a button on her smartphone to bring forth a new demon. The one that emerged was far larger than Ame-no-Uzume, having the front body of a rather sickly-looking horse and lacking a second half. Instead, the demon's body had several dark-green tendrils, along with the ones attached to its head. It looked around at the surrounding people with its gloomy red eyes.

Nozomi tucked her shotgun into her belt, skillfully climbing upon the horse-like demon's back as if it wasn't a seaweed-horse-demon hybrid-looking thing.
She turned to look toward Kirby, then Aegiomon, and finally the Terrarian, puzzled by his pixel look.
"You, and you, and you, the self-proclaimed master of all. Assuming you'll come help out, I hope we all make it to Kakariko in one piece."
And with that, the demon took off running toward the Twin Peaks, galloping as if it had four legs and accelerating into a breakneck pace, letting out a loud, yet ghastly neigh.
