Terrence Boom
“Might just be you and I, Tempura- hold on tight,” Terrence informed his backpack Temmie, though even if she didn’t, the odds of her somehow falling or getting hurt were about zero, given the sheer defensive prowess of this shell. He leaned forward, over the edge, trying not to think about the distance between himself and the ground. Just a few months ago, if he’d tried something like this, it would have killed him. One hundred percent, no chance of survival- it felt a little strange how now, he didn’t have much to worry about with a fall like this. Staying up here was more dangerous, and that was weird.

As the energy drew closer than ever before, he dove downward.

Said dive lasted for a much shorter time than he anticipated, as he soared down the wall, smashing against the side of it with his fists to create a bit more distance- he wasn’t in much danger, but he still didn’t want to skid against it too much. Even with his heightened senses, it was difficult to tell just how far away the ground was… but he wouldn’t have to worry about it, because soon, someone grabbed onto his shell, and seemed to slow his descent. At first, he was worried Blade had given chase, but Tempura was quick to alleviate those worries.

“hOOMaN! hOLd oN tiGhT!!1!” the Temmie exclaimed. So it was Frisk that had dove down after him, and now, she had a grip on his shell, a powerful energy emitting from her back, allowing the two to glide through the air. Some kind of giant wings of SOUL magic- that was pretty badass.
“woOAH!” Tempura exclaimed, smooshing her face against her side of the shell and staring up at Frisk with googly-eyes.

“Yeah, I got out pretty clean, all things considered,” Terrence cleared his throat, having never had to make conversation in a situation like this. He wondered if this was how fish that got grabbed by birds felt- but like, in a good way, of course. “This is new. I guess that driving practice you were doing is kind of obsolete now, huh?” he smiled.

BOOOOOM!

Well, that moment of relief and levity hadn’t lasted very long at all. It was just as he and Frisk had concluded earlier- whatever had been approaching before… well, it had just arrived, laying waste to the rooftop they’d been on just moments ago- had the others all made it out…?

Boboiboy - Thunderstorm

"...!"

Akira's interference marked another milestone in trying Thunderstorm's patience, blasting off the side of the wall alongside his already built up speed, grossly overshooting his target. Spiraling out of bounds, his weapon deconstituted, failing to take out his target, namely due to the interference of his own allies.

Why was I brought out just to be fought by my own teammates?

Moments after this thought, a boom resonated throughout the zone. Managing to maneuver his body to flip in that direction, he saw a grizzly sight. A threatening laser reached so tall it stabbed through the sky like a knife. They stopped him from taking them out...and now his team would bare the consequences.

The descent was too fast. He wasn't planning for this when he made his acceleration before. As much as he tried to halt his speed, he wasn't slowing down fast enough. Sending red electricity through his body, he lifted his trajectory somewhat. Instead of going straight down into the concrete, he went in at an angle. The result of his efforts was sliding against the ground, sparks shredding off his shoes as his back hit the side of a building, knocking the breath out of the elemental. The impact caused the sparks on his body to jolt away entirely, sliding down to the ground from it.

"...Tch..."

With nothing but the spiteful sound escaping his lips, the colors of Thunderstorm faded. What was once orange and black returned to a bright range color with the outfit being replaced by an orange vest and a snug pair of blue pants. The red energy that made up thunderstorm was siphoned back into the watch on the boy's wrist. He sat slumped over, his eyes hazy as he tried to catch his breath from his shocked lungs.

It appeared everyone had been accounted for, and that left one thing to do: retreat. Blade had done the same, which meant they didn't have much time left. Akira grimaced, grabbed Kiwi, and flung both herself and the bard over the edge.

BOOOOOM!

The roof erupted brilliantly behind them, throwing the officer a lot further forward than she would have liked. They were in free fall now, with Akira's right arm wrapped around the singer's torso. The Sword Legion had followed them over the edge, shielding the women from a spray of debris. As they continued to fall, the Legionnaire ordered her Legion to move back towards the wall, even as it cracked and crumbled.

The ensnared Chimera tugged on its astral chain, not to slow their fall, but to bring Akira into contact with said wall. Her right still holding onto the citizen tightly, the left wielded her X-Baton, which, imbued with a suspiciously red Blueshift, was able to pierce the concrete. It tore a line through the outer wall as Akira descended- decelerating. The Type-R fell with them, and guarded the two from any particularly dangerous debris.

The technique had definitely slowed her fall, but with a quick glance at the approaching ground, it was clearly not enough. She had been in freefall for far too long. So, before they would impact, Akira kicked off the wall and wrapped both her arms around Kiwi. The policewoman positioned herself so that her body was between the bard and the pavement- meaning Akira would take the brunt of the impact. Luckily, the Legionnaire had a plan, as the Type-R flew around to do the same for her.

The trio impacted a pile of rubble, sending a spray of rubble and dust further into the ruin they had landed in. They continued to slide and the Type-R's armor left a path of destruction as it ground through the cracked tile floor of the building. Their momentum only stopped when the Legion struck a lone pillar. Although it shuddered and cracks formed across it, it did not fall on top of the heroes.

After a moment to ensure safety, both the RAVEN Legion and the RAVEN captain uncurled. Akira sat up, and attempted to help Kiwi to her feet as she dismissed the Legion.

"Hey...," she caught her breath, "are you alright?"

FRISK DREEMURR

And finally, it happened. The surmounting energy of the Sumeragi’s new ‘secret’ weapon had gone off to vaporizing effect, a thick and powerful beam of energy expelled into the sky, parting the clouds and discoloring the sky itself for a number of seconds. Frisk and Terrence had cleared the path of it by a wide margin, but even they weren’t completely out of its wrath.

Frisk caught a glimpse of her newfound escaping allies, flung from the beam’s most vile parts, but not unscathed. In different directions they hurtled through the air to the ground, and Frisk nor Terrence could do anything about it.

“Oh my god...” Frisk watched as the beam dissipated, completing its display of power. Had they remained in that, had they not sensed its energetic approach...

A sudden wave of heat and concussive force suddenly pounded into the pair. This was that aforementioned wrath.

The windows of surrounding skyscrapers shattered under the blastwave emitted in the aftereffects of the beam, and when Frisk was struck with it, she accidentally lost her grip on Terrence’s shell, gritting her teeth as she knocked back through the air, her wings shimmering under broken concentration.

She couldn’t do anything about the others, not right now. In the wake of the beam, Frisk could only afford to focus on the immediate, and that meant Terrence and his Temmie sidekick.

Thinking quickly, the teenager tucked her wings around herself, allowing her to tuck back and sail downward, back toward Terrence. Thankfully, reaching him wasn’t a hassle, and getting his shell back under her hold was even less so. Her ex jolted as he was plucked from the air once again, Frisk’s wings spreading out once more to catch them, allowing them to continue their glide, though their circumstances were more grim than before.

“We need to regroup,” Frisk said. “I’m exhausted, I don’t know how much longer I can keep this up—are you able to use those Daredevil senses and find us one of those people who helped us with Blade? I’m not really seeing anybody down there, yet...”

The Bard

Blade's clear scowl at Kiwi's own words only cemented the reminder in their head.
Please Don't Be Audrey Please Don't Be Audrey Please Don't Be Audrey...

This left Kiwi stunned and shocked, unable to act. Despondant to the surroundings, Kiwi could only watch in horror at the movements, before being suddenly grabbed by Akira Howard.

"It's a shame I could not extinguish your entire rebellion myself here and now, but it does not matter. Whether by this cannon or otherwise, you will soon be punished for your crimes. That is for certain... For it is the order of Lord Demerzel. Let this be the end of you!" Blade spoke.

Cracks formed across the rooftop as the Officer pulled Kiwi away, flinging both of them over the edge.

BOOOOOM!

The eruption was massive, covering the rooftop that the Raven Captain had just moved from in terrifying energy. The strange thing the Officer had used before protected them both whilst Akira kept a hold on Kiwi.
By the time the pair landed, the Legion protecting Akira from the brunt of the impact while Akira did the same for Kiwi, Kiwi was shaken and finally snapped out of the stupor well and truly. With Kiwi lifted up, they were quick to answer the question.

"I'm...well, aside from the ringing, I'm feeling fine. Thanks for the save!" Kiwi expressed gratitude with a small smile, before pausing. "But...um, are you alright too? You really put yourself at risk to save me there, so I'm a little worried that you got hurt because of me..."

There wouldn't be fairness in telling Officer Howard of the fears right now, the reason why Kiwi froze up, how Blade's face, movements, everything reminded them of someone they'd come here to search for.

V2

"It's a shame I could not extinguish your entire rebellion myself here and now, but it does not matter. Whether by this cannon or otherwise, you will soon be punished for your crimes. That is for certain... For it is the order of Lord Demerzel. Let this be the end of you!" Blade spoke. Cracks began to form in the rooftop, glowing with a magenta light, and Blade herself exploded into a blaze of electricity, which V2 avoided, assuming it was some kind of super-move.

Blade was gone, but the rumbling was worsening. The building was collapsing. V2 had to get out of there, now. They slid away as the light grew brighter, and then...

BOOOOOM!

An enormous pillar of dark magenta energy burst from below, piercing through nearly the entire width of the structure to stretch into the skies above, parting the clouds in its way. V2 was almost entirely out of the way, but was just barely hit, with their right foot being caught in the blast and heated to an incredibly high temperature.

V2 was falling. Last time this happened, they splattered into blood. Not this time. Having consulted with the terminals, the war machine remembered how their predecessor had negated fall damage. A gyro adjust there, a wing folding there, a downward acceleration there, and- it wouldn't work.

The V model was rapidly approaching the ground, and it wouldn't work. But there was a backup plan. Piercing their left arm- the Excalibur arm, as they had named it on construction- into the side of the building, V2 reduced their velocity as they went down, cutting a large gash into it as they slowed to a stop. They then removed their arm from the building and fell from a much more reasonable height onto the ground.

No need to copy a worse model, the machine thought as it looked around. Now, to find the others... and hope they had survived.

Mr. Miracle
Swooooshh!
With a stylish twirl of his figure and his cape singing in the wind, the miraculous magician had done just like the rest and teleported away - but where did he end up? Wait, why was he still on the wall and why was this not a safe distance away? And what was that awfully loud rumbling down below- oh wait, that was the sound of imminent death, wasn't it? Certainly wouldn't be the first time the magician was about to be wiped off the face of the earth from a giant eruption about to blow.. unfortunately this time, it seems there wasn't a Superman-Wannabe about to scoop the source of the blast up into the ozone layer.

Think, Miracle, Think! What would the great Houdini do to escape a situation like this? That guy was always good at getting out of dangerous stunts.. well then again, he'd likely have a much harder time making flight out of being blasted to death within seconds. Okay, maybe not the best source to draw inspiration from.. oh, that's it! That's the technique he'd have to utilize to get out of this situation safe and sound! Relatively speaking, at least! He may not have been part of that family's Heritage, but his Eyes were certainly NOT eager to see himself within a Future in Heaven! No time like the present, as they say!

"NIGERUNDAYOOO!!!"

Aaand off he went, as the man behind the miracles had ran straight off the wall itself, boosted in speed and flight through his magical powers. It wasn't everyday one would catch the sight of a man running with one hand on his hat and the other trailing behind him on air like a cartoon, but today sure was the one. And just in the nick of time, too, as Terry had the misfortune to find out through the horrid sensation of ringing in his ears.

BOOOOOOOOOMMMM!

As if his hearing wasn't bad enough already from all the stage music that blared throughout his life's performances, that explosion that was way too close for his liking definitely hit a new high - both literally and figuratively! If Hagen hadn't known any better, his suit might've just been singed into a half-piece and his cloak charred into a tattered strip of fabric. But there was no time to turn around and wonder for the man knew he just had to keep running and running, until he'd completely ran out of breath from both uplifting himself magically and quite literally waddling his legs like he'd been the incarnation of Road Runner himself.

Only, it was then when he took a break that he realised just how high up he truly was. True, he could just fly down - but that was way too boring. No, the miraculous magician had a far grander idea - by pulling out a wooden sign from behind his cape that simply read in large capital letters, crudely painted on in black paint: 'UH OH!'. That is, before Terry had let himself fall first, with the sign being magikinetically suspended mid-air for comedic effect before following along his flight path down. And as if to make even more mockery of the near-death experience, Miracle's whole plan would have ended by his intent of pulling out an umbrella the moment he was close to hitting the ground and purposefully slowing his fall so it'd appear as if the parasol was genuinely slowing his velocity to that of a feather's.

Amaterasu
It was incredibly fortunate that Tracy held on, as the laser fired the second Amaterasu paws left the wall. However, the force of the beam sent the goddess and her two charges spinning across the air, struggling to find control. Even as her surroundings were blurred from her spinning, Amaterasu could tell the ground was coming up fast. Thinking quickly, Ammy painted her Galestorm technique. Winds picked up again, pushing the dog into the wall, where he miraculously stuck the landing. Her bearings regained, Amaterasu would run down the remaining distance of the wall, Tracy and the solider in tow.

Officer Akira Howard
With a groan, Akira got to her own two feet. She wasn't feeling great. She hadn't fully recovered from that empowered lightning blast, and that landing was rough. As the adrenaline would start to fade, it would only get worse. She was trembling, yet tried her best to save face.

"Yeah... I'm fine. Do you see the others?"

The NEURON officer activated her IRIS to help her pick out her allies' heat signatures from the rubble. She saw Miracle slowly descending, the two SOUL users cruising through the air, and... another heat signature in the street. Even though she was in a bad state, she couldn't rely on backup. She may have found allies here, but none of them held any sort of government authority as far as she could tell.

Akira shambled over to Boboiboy. Her IRIS told her he was alive, but she still wanted to check to make sure he wasn't injured- no matter how frustrated she was with him.

Boboiboy

As the boy clad in orange awoke, memories of the three consumed elementals rushed into him. Feelings of joy, pain, shame, frustration, and second hand embarrassment filled him all at once.

That was fun!
I gotta be better next time...!
I should have finished the job.

Blaze tends to be unruly, but like any wildfire he burns out eventually. Thorn means well but has a hard time taking any issue seriously. Quake was meant to keep them in line...but he was taken out first in a mishap right before this. Leaving those two at the helm. Blaze and Thorn sharing the wheel...Now that's a scary concept.

To top it all off, Thunderstorm who was supposed to end this quickly, made him come off as an absolute psychopath in trying to do so. Anxiety welled up in BoBoiboy, the earth born hero's heart rate skyrocketing. Closing his eyes and balling his fists, he sought to regulate his breathing to try and bring himself a sense of calm.

In...out...

In...out...

In...out...

Holding himself together, he looked about his surroundings, noticed some of his allies had come to ground level as well. Akira, in particular seemed to have noticed him before he noticed him in kind. Getting flashes of Blaze and Thunderstorm's actions in his head, he motioned his hands in front of himself.

"Hey! I'm really, really sorry about earlier. I didn't mean for any of this to happen, definitely didn't want Blaze on his own either. So I really don't blame you for hitting Thunder- I mean, me earlier."

He avoided looking Akira in the eye on the last half, rubbing the back of his head. Foot out the door in the negative side already, and he couldn't really blame Akira for thinking that.

"We really got introduced on the wrong foot...actually, I don't think we really got introduced at all. Ahem. It's uh good to meet you! I'm BoBoiboy. Those guys were me too, but were more like a part of me. Sorry again for that."

He stretched out a hand for a shake, a sheepish smile on his face, hoping to rebuild relations.

Tracy Rinehart

They were spinning, falling. Tracy clung to Amaterasu as tight as she could, her face buried in the large dog's fur. The blast had nearly made her lose her grip and destroyed all her monsters, but somehow Tracy had held on. Even after Ammy regained control and made it back to the ground, Tracy remained as she was. All of the fighting, the close calls, the entire battle... The free fall down the wall was too much for the girl. She stayed tight to Amaterasu, unable to do anything but tremble in fear

Terrence Boom
Terrence was dreading the list of possibilities after that sound erupted throughout the area- how likely was it that everyone had actually managed to make it out with their lives? It felt like the odds weren’t high. His jaw was clenched tightly without him realizing it, his mind flooded with the different scenarios, especially the one where he’d taken a few more seconds before diving off of the wall.
…And double-especially the one where Frisk hadn’t jumped right behind him.

The ensuing shockwaves were not pleasant at all, the pair of teens being physically shoved through the air. Terrence held up his arms defensively, as he felt the hands holding him slip, dropping him, causing him to once again start falling. It was only for a moment or two, before she caught back up with him, utilizing those new wings to great effect- the fact that she was still able to use such complex magical constructs, despite being probably the most strained from that fight, was extremely impressive- but, while she was strong, maybe the strongest person of all back home, Terrence knew that Frisk’s powers were still finite, and they desperately needed to regroup.

He thought back to that boy from earlier, Kyota- he’d been able to reunite with his friend after that battle they’d all been in down on ground level, before leaving to their hideout. That seemed like a pretty safe place for the group to return to, assuming they could do it without being followed.
“There might be somewhere out there where we can recover…” he shook his head back and forth, still feeling some lingering effects of those shockwaves. “If I really focus, I might be able to find somebody, but… there’s a lot of interference right now,” he admitted, placing a hand on his temple. By slowing down his thoughts and pouring all his mental efforts into trying to pick up on signs of life nearby, he expanded his field of ‘vision,’ hoping to lock onto someone- anyone.

“There… I think… there’s some people in that direction- alive!” he held out an arm, particularly enthused about the 'alive' part, pointing toward where he could sense the chatter of two... maybe three people. They were made a bit easier to spot in spite of his not-amazing condition due to the trio being near each other- that trio being Boboiboy, Akira, and the Bard.

FRISK DREEMURR

She glanced down, following where Terrence was pointing, and saw what he meant. How had she not noticed them sooner? They stuck out like a sore thumb... they’d need to find any others and get into cover quickly, more Sumeragi would be out in force soon, if they weren’t already, and she lacked any interest in more battles at the moment.

A little R&R would go a long way right about now.

“Ten-four, good buddy,” Frisk replied to her Bravery-powered friend as her wings tucked in to swoop them low, the pair (and Tem) rushing down upon the position of BoBoiboy, Akira, and the Bard. Frisk’s massive wingspan spread out a final time to bring her to a gradual though quick stop, and she let Terrence drop the few inches left to the ground before her wings faded, and she touched down behind him with a slight grunt.

“Hell, hi, I’m Frisk,” the teenager said to get an introduction out of the way as quickly as she could. She couldn’t help but notice that this kid in the hat looked a bit different than thunder boy, and also the Blaze and Thorn kids from before - were they changing clothes or was something else at play?

It would be ridiculous if they were just changing clothes. Funny, but ridiculous.

“We should get out of the middle of the street. The hornet’s nest has been properly stirred and I’ll bet money patrols will be out looking for us in no time. Do you guys know where anyone else is?”

Hopefully they could get Tracy... the robot... Miracle... god dog... uh... how many other people were there? Was that it? Oh, and hat kid’s twin or whatever.

“They’re the same person,” Chara’s voice whispered in Frisk’s ear, sounding exasperated, no doubt tired of hearing Frisk’s thoughts regarding the hat boy - or thunder boy, if the shaytan was to be believed.

Frisk didn’t yet reveal she had vital information captured on her cell phone during her little spy escapade, she’d wait until they 1) had everyone gathered and 2) were in a safe space she could reveal such information in.

Humanity's second-to-Last Hope
The boy awoke. Akira was relieved, but that relief soon morphed into confusion as he... apologized? The policewoman listened as Boboiboy explained the situation, trying to keep an open mind. Not that it was hard to believe, seeing how the boy had actual superpowers on the scale that nothing but some of the more powerful chimeras could replicate. She just went along with it. Hopefully the "parts" of this kid would be more cooperative in the future.

"Hey, Boboiboy, I'm Officer Akira Howard... unless you already knew that?"

Akira took the elemental master's hand, shook it, and then helped him to his feet- just in time for Terrence and the energy construct girl to join them. She introduced herself as Frisk, and Akira gave a nod of acknowledgement before the captain repeated an introduction.

"Officer Howard. You did very well up there, Frisk."

Frisk then suggested they get to a safe area, which was smart. Akira nodded.

"Right... The others and I heard of a spot... but we should regroup first."

The legionnaire scanned the area again with the IRIS, picking out another heat signature from the dust and debris. Likely Tracy and the dog. Akira started to move towards them, but winced and stop. A jolt of pain had flared up, a sour reminder of her condition. Once again, she opened a pouch and popped a pill to aid her healing process. Then, she continued forward- gingerly.

That was a less cold reception than anticipated. That was fortunate, a sigh of relief came from him as he was helped to his feet, Frisk joining soon after. They were...a new ingredient to this concoction of a team, their latest arrival. If this really was a team that is. He couldn't really read her, but he could feel that she had a steady head on her shoulders, seeming trustworthy.

"Ah! Nice to meet you! I'm BoBoiboy, but Bo is fine...and sorry for before. This goes to you too Terence, a lot has been happening so quickly and I-"

He jumped for a second as Akira struggled in obvious pain. He made an inch to go help, but they seemed to be handling themselves...that and a part of Boboiboy thought it may be best if Akira had a break of him for a bit. That had left Bard, Terrence, Frisk, and himself in the street while Akira checked on the mysterious dog and Tracy.

"Okay okay...so. This is going to sound like an odd question out of the blue, but I don't think any of those three bothered to ask..." he cleared his throat. "Have any of you guys seen a large ship around here? Hard to miss. Was pretty massive, had a red sheen to it, battle damaged, and was chasing a smaller fin adorned ship? Anything like that?"

If lucky, someone here knew something about the ship that arrived, maybe some info on this unknown threat was feasible, as they seemed far different than the Sumeragi he had been fighting previously. Those ape like creatures...the exiled? The banished? The abandoned? One of those. Seemed more like a rogue gang of exceptionally organized pirates than an army really.

Amaterasu
Amaterasu stood at attention, completely silent save for her light panting. She looked back at both humans on her back, but the solider was unresponsive, and Tracy was shaking like a leaf. They weren't able to dismount yet.
Well, that was fine. They needed to stay close until they had regrouped. Amaterasu lowered her head to sniff the floor, sorting through the different smells until she caught a familiar one, being Akira. The wolf followed the trail, turning and trotting dutifully towards the scent. She would speed up slightly as the scent grew stronger, and then break into a sprint once she caught sight of the policewoman.

Terrence landed on the ground, pretty gently and harmlessly with Frisk’s help, letting out a grunt as he was finally back on solid land- Frisk’s wings were cool and all, but he was going to have to workshop the execution on the whole being-carried thing, to make himself dangle a bit less.

Even if it was super temporary, they were FINALLY outside of the immediate grasp of enemies. Terrence had literally been doing nothing but fighting and moving around since his arrival in this place, and now that he wasn’t doing either of those, some weariness was beginning to catch up with him. One by one, the layers and scutes of his shell began to disappear, a massive weight (both physical and magical) now off of his back. It didn’t take long (about four seconds) before Tempura came crawling out, swinging and leaping around Terrence like he was a jungle gym.

“wE DID IT!!!!!!” she exclaimed happily, clearly having more energy to burn than her humanly companion, who folded his arms and nodded slightly in approval.

Listening closely, he heard Boboiboy’s apology- and while he of course didn’t prefer to be almost-hit by fireballs and deadly slashes and the sort, it was kind of hard to be mad right now. They were all confused, and afraid, and... just trying to solve problems in the ways that they all knew how.

“Well, don’t worry about it,” he offered in reply, picking Tempura up and extending her forward, a shockingly accurate squeaky-toy sound effect emanating from her mouth. “The valuable goods weren’t damaged, see?” he scratched behind her ears. “Can’t say I’ve really seen any ships around, though… maybe we can get back to Kyota’s hideout and ask about it. When- uh, if we can get everyone accounted for here…” he took a deep breath, focusing on his surroundings- delighted when he noticed the presence and good-health of Tracy and that suspiciously powerful dog.

Tracy slowly returned to her senses. She became aware that she was moving, being carried by something. Something very soft. Tracy raised her head, blinking and looking around. That was right... The battle, going down the wall... That strange wolf had rescued her. Had she blacked out? They were moving through the streets once more. Tracy sat up on the back of Amaterasu, petting the wolf on the side.
"Ah... good girl..." Tracy said. She frowned, and glanced back up at the wall. Clearly, this wolf was extremely special. Some sort of powers had to be required to keep up with how fast everyone was moving. "Can you... understand me?"

And she wasn't the only one the wolf had rescued. A Sumeragi soldier as well? Tracy glanced at the psionist nervously.

Amaterasu began to pick up the pace, and Tracy also caught sight of the others. But one was noticably absent, at least for Tracy... V2 was nowhere to be seen.
"Ah... Is everyone okay?" Tracy asked the others. Still a little shaky, Tracy slowly dismounted Amaterasu. "Has anyone seen V2? Did they make it out?"

Officer Howard, that put a name to police-lady’s face. Her metal companion that had supported her throughout the battle had been like a cross between a shaytan and a robot. Or... a stand? Alphys watched a lot of weird anime’s, and one of them definitely had absurdly-drawn characters who had ghost-like guardians always over their shoulders.

Did Chara count as a stand?

“No,” said the shaytan.

Well, the robot didn’t either, since it was pretty physical. Still cool, though. Clearly it was meant to take much of the heat for Howard, as the woman was very tender from the recent fight. Closer to human-level durability, she likely didn’t have the aid of magic, or natural enhancements that came alongside growing in magic’s power. She popped a pill that seemed to improve her condition rapidly, though not a pure fix.

Boboiboy directed Frisk’s attention toward what seemed to be a pressing issue for the boy, who was in search of some kind of ship. While up on the Sumeragi tower, Frisk hadn’t exactly seen any bodies of water nearby, so... that probably also meant no ships.

“He means spaceship,” Chara said.

Frisk blinked, a little perplexed. The shaytan was screwing with her, right? Ancient demons, resurrecting gods, and global cults she could believe, but aliens? Come on...

...Well...

Still, seaship or spaceship, Frisk had seen neither. She gave a shake of her head after Terrence replied. “No, sorry.”

Akira wasn’t able to get far at all, as along came the radiant hound from before, carrying upon her back Tracy and that Sumeragi mage, the dog bounding over to stop alongside the group. Frisk did a quick head count, noticing they were actually pretty-well reunited after leaping from the roof, save for the robot and Mr. Miracle.

That was actually pretty impressive, a testament to the resilience of those present. Maybe together they really could overcome the Sumeragi threat. Though taking them head-on had invoked intervention from Blade, and Frisk was already aware that Blade was the top Falcon among the Sumeragi. During that entire fight, the woman barely seemed to lose any steam. Any hits that came her way just seemed to make her move faster and hit harder.

Frisk was lucky she hadn’t remained alone in that conflict. She probably owed her life to everyone that had shown up. If Stella wasn’t here, then that probably meant Frisk had no chance of a reset to save her butt if something did turn out horribly... but if Stella wasn’t here...

Frisk turned away as Tracy hopped off the dog’s back, asking where a ‘V2’ was. Did she mean her liquid metal guy? Frisk hadn’t seen that thing since around the time that water chute spouted everyone up.

Anyway, Frisk pulled upon her Determination. Nobody else would be able to see it, not without a certain degree of time magic of their own, but two buttons would appear in front of the teenager. ‘SAVE’ and ‘RESET.’ The buttons were grayed out, impossible to interact with.

Frisk pursed her lips. That meant someone else was still in control, right? So there had to be a timeline holder somewhere in this place, Frisk just had to find them. Otherwise there was no explanation for why she didn’t have control back.

Troubling...

Frisk turned back around to face the group, recalling what Terrence had said. A ‘Kyota’s Hideout’ or something. Terrence had probably already started making friends since he arrived, he was pretty good at that. Of course, he HAD shown up with a calvary to back her up in her moment of need.

That was very... Terrence.

“No, I haven’t seen the robot guy or Miracle, yet,” she told Tracy. “We need to go to... Kyota’s hideout,” she glanced at Terrence, who gave her a nod, letting her know she’d said it right.

“Perhaps we’ll meet V2 and the others there, and even if not, we need to get somewhere safer than the streets before it’s crawling with Sumeragi. And this guy...” Frisk approached the holy dog, eyeing the Sumeragi mage on her back. “He could have info for us. We need to get that helmet off, though, he might be able to contact his buddies with it. And once we’re somewhere safe, I have some intel on the Sumeragi to share. I didn’t go into that tower looking for a fight, I found a terminal and got every piece of information I could from it before they found me out.”

Hopefully that would get everyone on the same page, which should be much easier now that they weren’t all fighting a cross between Thor and Snake Eyes.

Akira Howard
She hadn't gotten very far before the canine, shimmering with orange designs, sprinted over. Akira smiled and pat Amaterasu on the head as Tracy dismounted.

"Ah... Is everyone okay? Has anyone seen V2? Did they make it out?"

Akira turned to look at the larger group as Frisk offered her own response.

"Right... any injuries? I saw that magician floating down safely- I assume he's the Miracle you're talking about. I don't know where the robot went. I think it was destroyed in the blast, since it wanted to stay behind and I barely made it out of there."

She was kind of hoping it was, so she wouldn't have to deal with the machine later on...

Frisk then suggested keeping the psi-user as a prisoner.

"This one can teleport. I can keep him restrained and limit his powers for some time, but he'd be dazed while you question him. ...But he'll end up escaping eventually. We can't take him to the hideout."

Oh... right, the teleporting. Where was a magic dampener when you needed one? Or a sober charge? Well, assuming the Sumeragi mage was actually a mage... aside from Terrence, Frisk really wasn’t picking up on any actual magic around, save for Miracle, but his felt weird and alien.

So a magic dampener probably wouldn’t do anything, then, if this guy was just like... a psychic or something.

“Man, I forgot about the teleporting,” Frisk let out a slight sigh before she shook her head. “Alright well, to be honest I doubt he’s got any actual information that I didn’t get. So I guess we just... dump him off here...?”

It was better than just outright killing him or dumping him in a river or something.

Nobody saw anything? Well, suppose that would be understandable. If these people were focused on surviving in this city, then I doubt they would be looking up when blaster fire is right in front of them. Be that as it may, I can't just abandon my friends. Who knows how they are surviving right now? We need to wrap this Sumeragi threat up, then maybe I can get these guys to help with a rescue operation of my own.

Pressing a button on his watch, he got in close to it. "Come in, Hooked star. Fang? Are you there? Yaya? Anyone?"

A static response awaited him. Nothing. The comms were down. That means the ship took even more damage than last he saw of them. That fact made his heart sink. They were severely outgunned. It wasn't looking good. Catching himself becoming overwhelmed, he took a step back.

"Okay. One thing at a time. That robot...it isn't adding up to be great odds for it, but we don't really know much about it. I've known a few robots in my career, and they are very hard to put down."

As for the next course of action, he put his hand on his chin, his eye flickering back and forth between Frisk and Terrence, nodding his head. Despite everything, they had to make sure everyone was okay.

"We should see how they are doing. Think we were a bit too quick to cut them loose back there. If your plan works Akira, it sounds like the best one. A guy escaping isn't a bad thing, Blade already knows more than enough on us, they won't get anymore info than they wouldn't have already had."

Mr. Miracle
Terry was floating on down, light as a feather, the umbrella in his right hand deceptively seeming to slow down his fall greatly. Of course, like his usual stunts, this was but a mere act, meant for entertainment. The moment his tippy toes reached the ground, he had twirled to dramatically make the umbrella disappear behind his cloak - only to find all of his audience chatting up each other instead of watching his little pirouette and comical landing! Oh, phooey, it was all for naught after all!

Oh well, at least he had amused himself, and that's all that mattered, right? ..riiiigghht. With a pep in his step, the magician silently sauntered on over to join up with the rest of the group. Admittedly, he'd already had enough excitement and was just about ready to step out of this blasted costume and swap into something more comfortable. And to finally let loose from the whole 'Mr. Miracle' persona. Much as he enjoyed acting the fool to the enjoyment of others (or just himself, in this case), there was nothing Terry would rather like than to just chill out right now.

V2

It was around this time that V2 found the rest. Mr. Miracle had been floating down somewhat slowly, and the war machine was able to figure out where he would land. They arrived just too late to see the landing in question, and decided not to ask how that umbrella had been slowing his fall.

Oh, yeah, V2 has been moving so (relatively) slowly because their right foot was almost entirely melted off. They tried to slide around at first, but immediately slipped and fell, so swapped to normal walking. Well, as normal as they could walk with an entire foot turned to molten metal.

"Against my better judgement," the cyclops robot began as they announced their presence, "I remain alive. Is everyone accounted for?"

Tracy Rinehart

No one had seen V2, or Mr. Miracle yet. Tracy began to look around as the conversation shifted to their hostage, the Sumeragi. It seemed like people were leaning towards just cutting them loose. It was something Tracy was perfectly okay with. No one was talking about killing the guy, which Tracy was glad of. The duelist leaned on a pile of rubble, scanning their surroundings as the group talked. A slow-moving shadow caught her eye, and Tracy looked up to see... Mr. Miracle, again?! This time, floating down with an umbrella, like he was straight out of Toon World!

Tracy stared at Mr. Miracle in surprise as with a dramatic twirl, the parasol vanished and Mr. Miracle walked towards the group. She looked up to the wall, then back at Mr. Miracle.
"How-"

"Against my better judgement, I remain alive. Is everyone accounted for?"

Tracy turned towards the familiar voice, relieved to see V2 approaching the group.
"V2!" Tracy said, walking towards the robot. "You made it! I'm glad- Oh my gosh, your foot!"
Tracy stared at the melted piece of slag that was V2's right foot.
"Are you okay?" Tracy asked the robot.

Speak of the devil, and he shall appear.

Akira turned towards V2 as the robot hobbled closer to the group. A grimace born of both her current pain and persisting spite appeared on her face as she jabbed her index finger towards the robot. Even though she was not in great shape right now, a girl had to stick to her ideals.

"This robot can't go anywhere near the haven. I won't allow it."

She still firmly believed that the robot would kill again as soon as it was given the chance, and if there were civilians that couldn't defend themselves... she shuddered at the thought. The policewoman would not give the machine an opportunity. She didn't make a move against V2, yet- though she considered it at length.

So the robot known as V2 was alive, which Tracy looked greatly relieved about. Boboiboy was getting feelings of relief from this as well...that is, until Akira's guard went up.

"This robot can't go anywhere near the haven. I won't allow it." The woman stood their ground.

And like that, relief had transformed into concern. Tensions rose immediately with the seeds of conflict taking root. Boboiboy flicked his eyes over to Akira, finding it unlikely that they'd be this on edge without reason.

"Officer Akira, if V2 has done something specific, please let us know." He paused, looking to the robot. "...V2, who or what manufactured your model?"

V2

"I'm okay," the machine explained to Tracy while gesturing to their left, yellow arm, which contrasted with the red of the rest of their body. "I've suffered worse." However, before the machine could get to the topic of discussion - The sumeragi soldier on the gorund- Akira went back to the whole criminal thing.

"This robot can't go anywhere near the haven. I won't allow it," declared the Captain. V2 was about to explain- in great, hopefully heartbreaking detail- that it was all just self-defense, when Boboiboy spoke up. "Officer Akira, if V2 has done something specific, please let us know," said the teen. He paused, looking to the robot. "...V2, who or what manufactured your model?"

"I was made by..." V2 searched their databanks, and found... nothing. The manufacturer label was gone, and most of the info regarding their's construction was missing, save for the constantly-visited bookmark of V2 being after V1. "By... By... I don't know," the war machine admitted in slight horror. "I don't remember who made me. I can barely remember anything between the Rebound and entering Hell."

There remained just a few more obstacles before they could actually go and regroup with Kyota and his company- Terrence wasn’t a hundred percent sure where the hideout was, but they’d gotten some directions and descriptions.

“It was… southwest from here, in a plaza. We’re supposed to look for a broken fountain and chainlink fences,” Terrence recounted, letting Tempura hop to the ground, prancing around the group in circles, occasionally shouting out a crude descriptor of one of the members, like ‘MELTy RObOT’ or ‘hOOMaN’ or ‘gREEN.’

Anyway, as for the aforementioned obstacles, a major one would be the ‘melty robot,’ as Tempura had put it. They’d struck up an agreement back there to work together, and Terrence hadn’t been in much position to refuse- not in the moment, but now, there was no battle ongoing. For the first time, they actually had a chance to take a breath and tackle the group dynamic, hopefully they’d be able to nip this whole thing in the bud right now. That being said… Terrence still didn’t know exactly what the extent of V2’s crimes were, but it was sure sounding like a whole lot of murder, if the earlier conversation was anything to go off of. If Officer Akira was right in her assessment- and frankly, she seemed like a reputable source- it really would be a poor idea to have the machine come with them to a base full of defenseless kids.

“We really do need details,” Terrence nodded as Boboiboy requested some specifics from the officer. She seemed like a good person, and again, reputable, but V2 was also helping them and fighting against the Sumeragi- he didn’t SEEM evil, but that wasn’t the end-all-be-all of this case, obviously. “V2, the Sumeragi is dealt with- for now. The rest of us need to know what this is all about now,” he said, readjusting his blindfold.

The Bard

Everyone was so much faster than Kiwi...It was hard to keep up. But, it looked like everyone survived the rooftop confrontation, heavens thanked, but there was so much that was strange and unusual.
Still, everyone was talking, and Kiwi was fine letting them talk things out. Well, as long as they stayed away from Amaterasu, a habit that wasn't hidden from anyone - let alone the Divine Wolf.

Yes, everyone alive, though it seemed not all of the group was unharmed.
And arguing against bringing V2 to safety, despite the robot's injury. Keeping a hand to chest as to temper emotion, Kiwi approached the conversation and listened in. Terrence asked for more details from V2, and Boiboiboy asked for information from Officer Akira.

"...Hell?" Kiwi slowly asked, a little confused. "Um, that sounds important, what is it?" The phrase/place/whatever it was sounded important, anyway, but incredibly unfamiliar. The way the word carried itself in the air made it sound like something akin to the Overseer's Realms, but given the completely different name that was probably unlikely.
"u-uh, that's besides the point!" They added, shaking their head. Things were bad, even if the Sumeragi seemed to be dealt with for now as claimed, and The Bard felt horrible about the idea of forcing V2 to stay out of safety. Surely this issue could be ironed out, no one needed to be hurt... "Some details would be nice, so we could avoid any conflict when we work together." Kiwi looked directly at V2 while speaking, standing quite close to the robot.

FRISK DREEMURR

The debate on what to do with Mister Sumeragi the Knockout Wonder was quickly and violently deflated as everyone turned their sights onto apparently more important matters, that being the arrival of Miracle and the robot formally known as V2. So what the hell was that liquid metal guy, then?

Well, that was really unexpected. No, like, seriously, this NEVER happens. After an event like that, the gang all reuniting without a hitch? It was undreamt of. Too convenient. Something was afoot, it had to be, things were never this easy, not in Frisk’s experience. Nobody else seemed to be thinking along her train of thought though and declaring ‘well isn’t THAT convenient!’

Instead, it was a matter of Officer Howard being Officer Unfriendly with Veetoo.

At least Tracy seemed happy to have the robot return. She seemed strangely fixated on it, specifically.

Even Terrence seemed invested in this runaround going on, but Frisk was really lacking any interest. Maybe she had to be there to get the subtleties of this conflict or something, but as far as she knew or cared, Veetoo had helped against Blade, proven to be among the selfless sort by trying to let everyone else escape while it took the heat, so that was good in her book. Nobody seemed to know WHY the thing was being charged with crimes, but if it was so bad, the robot didn’t ACT like it.

And Frisk could relate.

Howard seemed staunchly serious about not letting Veetoo anywhere near the haven, and Veetoo seemed staunchly unphased by her hostilities.

Whatever, this was a stupid conflict, they had way bigger fish to fry. Like, I don’t know, why they were here? How to stop Sumeragi? What could be so serious of a threat that Sumeragi had built that entire device for long-range offense? Or maybe WHY THEY WERE HERE!?

Frisk glanced from individual to individual, feeling her attitude about the situation growing more and more jaded by the second. It probably didn’t help that she was genuinely exhausted and just wanted a chance to sit down without any drama blowing up in her face.

She needed a direction to go. Terrence said ‘southwest’ but Frisk was NOT a natural compass.

...

Chara, that’s your cue.

“Say please~” Chara teased. Frisk only pursed her lips, and the shaytan rolled her eyes. “You’re no fun.”

The spirit raised her hand, pointing down the street. “Just move that way, it’s pretty much a straight shot. Sun’s getting low, but I don’t think that’ll slow down the Sumeragi.”

Frisk gave a slight nod of her appreciation, but only slight so as to not make people give her weird looks if they noticed she was staring elsewhere from the group.

“It doesn’t matter,” Frisk told the group, looking directly toward Officer Howard. “If you’re so worried about it, then you can stay out here with Veetoo. It helped us. Maybe I just don’t grasp your fear, but I really don’t care. There’s more at stake here than a rivalry, or your code of ethics. In case nobody noticed, we’re not in the world we’re supposed to be in. In case nobody noticed, there’s a genocidal society of nutjobs who want nothing more than to kill everyone and everything they don’t deem as worthy - and that includes us. In case nobody noticed, we’re still out in the open in Sumeragi territory. So either suck it up and entertain a necessary compromise, or fall on your own sword. I’m heading toward the hideout.”

She pointed down the street, where Chara had. “You’re welcome to come with me. ALL of you are welcome.”

With nothing left to say, the teenager turned and began to walk away, sticking to the sides of the buildings as she set off in search of Kyota’s hideout.

The officer kept a firm glare pointed at the robot, making sure they didn't try anything funny. Her teammates asked for details, which Akira was keen on giving, ...until Frisk started speaking. The officer tried to ignore the teen's snarky remarks, but the policewoman grit her teeth as the SOUL mage started ordering her around and taking charge. She wasn't totally irrational, either, which frustrated Akira even more. Still, she focused her angry stare on the crimson machine. When Frisk was done talking, it was her turn.

"The first thing this robot did was point a gun to my head and tell me to beg for my life. They said humanity was better off dead. I- ...where I come from, humanity is dying. One of the ways they attack is by making machines go haywire."

The Legionnaire gestured to V2, and her eyes began to glisten with held-back tears.

"I can't trust a robot that doesn't follow the Three Laws of Robotics... I don't know what they said to you all when I wasn't here, but I don't like this. They've gone through a total change since I last saw them. They're planning something, I just know it!"

FRISK DREEMURR & AKIRA HOWARD

(Co-Written w/ Mallard)

When she started to walk away, followed by a moment of silence behind her, it was Akira who spoke, and it gave Frisk pause. To be honest, that did make it all sound a little more incriminating - probably would have been helpful if the cop had just said it outright.

Frisk turned to look at her, catching sight of the emotional distress the officer was under, and as she continued, it was clear that the source wasn’t just her exhaustion.

She remained adamant in her beliefs, and Frisk felt a little like a jerk for blowing her off so apathetically. How did Sans do it? Be so apathetic yet never come across like a punk? At least, he never came across that way to her. Maybe other people saw differently.

She wanted to approach this with a little more delicacy, given the state Akira was in.

“Officer Howard,” Frisk began. “Is this robot from your world?”

For the first time, Akira looked away from V2 as Frisk came back to have a discussion. She was surprised, and blinked away tears as she turned back towards V2.

“...No,” she admitted, “but... that's besides the point! I can see this robot isn't involved with the Chimeras, but they still want to hurt humans... don't you think that's a problem?!”

Akira still did believe there was something to do with the Astral Plane afoot. She did come here through what she understood as a Gate, and the Astral Plane wasn't exactly the same universe as hers. It might be able to explain all the psychic abilities, too, though she hadn't sensed any redshift thus far.

“Yeah,” Frisk said. “In my world, my chosen family are among a people called monsters, and humans have been trying to kill them off for a long time. Temmie—”

“tEmPURa!”

Tempura is one, and I count myself among them as well. I know what it means, but this robot helped us. That has to count for something, right? Look, I just want to go home. I don’t know what state it’ll be in when I get back, and a lot of bad was about to happen. We all have our own worlds to get back to, and we don’t know why we’re here. Maybe Veetoo is playing a game, but don’t doubt for a second the rest of us won’t be able to handle it, yourself included. So can we put aside our expectations and biases so that we can get back to our homes?”

Tracy Rinehart

Once more, the policewoman confronted V2. Tracy opened her mouth to speak, but the others seemed to come to V2's defense first. Frisk, Thorn... Tracy looked back at Boboiboy. Thorn had changed again, from his grey jacket and sunglasses to an orange vest and backwards ball cap. And yet, he still wore that bracelet Thorn had pointed out earlier. The power watch? Something about fam-splits? Hm...

The blindfolded teen also spoke up, but Tracy was distracted by the small creature running around. A very cute creature. Even the archer-man spoke up as well. Hopefully Frisk was able to convince the police woman (Tracy finally caught a name to go with the uniform, Officer Howard). But what the officer said about V2 was also concerning. Tracy tried to recall what Bob had told her about the three laws of robotics. Don't harm humans or allow humans to be harmed. Must obey human orders, except for things that would violate the first law. Must protect its existence. Hmmm. Blowback Dragon certainly wasn't one to follow those laws...

And then there was the other thing. Telling Officer Howard to beg for her life, that humanity was better off dead. And then of course, there was V2 saying he had gone to Hell. A concerning statement. Tracy folded her hands, looking nervously between Officer Howard, Frisk, and V2.
"Y-yes... We need to get out of the street." Tracy said.

V2

The conversation proceeded rapidly while the war machine thought about their memory. Nothing? Seriously nothing? V2's last memory before Hell was a mild annoyance over their predecessor getting a higher kill count and then... into the fire. What had happened? What...

V2 refocused on the conversation to distract themselves. The big concern had been over bringing the machine to some kind of base. "If I may propose a... compromise," V2 began. "Our working together is obviously required, in the face of the Sumeragi. However, if I am not trusted, I do not necessarily need to see this haven. I can construct a shelter for myself, and can meet with this... 'Anti-Sumeragi Squad' at a set location. Is that acceptable, Officer Howard?"

The V model had consider apologizing for threatening Officer Howard, but decided against it. It would seem very ingenuine and would make the others trust them less.

...Okay. That Frisk person is a bit of a brat.

She walked away despite the team not having a consensus nor resolving the issue with the team. If they were to function as a unit, they had to make sure that problems like this were put to rest, no? Seems extremely reckless, especially considering the possible consequences.

Tracy seemed a bit caught in the middle of things, but was visibly put off from everything to do with it. Not only that, be he could have sworn Tracy was eyeing him as well.

Despite this tense situation, V2 was surprisingly agreeable. Giving an appreciative nod to V2, he saw it best for Akira to have the final word on this. In the meantime, he motioned in agreement with Tracy, gesturing to follow Frisk, giving the robot and police woman some space.

"Nice to meet you officially, Tracy." He said in somewhat hushed tones, giving her a small smile to defuse the situation a bit. "Boboiboy. Thorn was a part of me."

Tracy Rinehart

V2 came up with a compromise, offering to stay at a shelter of his own instead of going with the others. Tracy wasn't a fan of this compromise. Splitting up seemed like a bad idea, and an easier way for Sumeragi to pick them off. But if it would appease Officer Howard, then maybe it could be just a temporary solution.

Not-Thorn approached the duelist, and gestured for her to join them following Frisk. Tracy glanced back to V2, giving the robot an apologetic look before walking alongside Boboiboy. They introduced themselves with their unusual name.
"Ah. It's good to meet you too." Tracy said. Now more obviously, Tracy looked Boboiboy up and down. "I don't think I've ever met someone like you before. Thorn mentioned something, a power watch for fam-splits? Is, uh... Thorn, and the fire one, and the lightning one, fam-splits from you?"

Discussions and arguments within the group came and went, and along with them came the setting of the sun. Or rather, this world's equivalent of it. The star in the sky, which seemed to remain in one spot for the duration of the day, gradually began to dim – bathing the city in a warm orange light. It wouldn't be too long before it was fully dark out, and the ragtag team reasonably guessed Sumeragi search squads would be coming soon as well.

On the note of Sumeragi, as the focus of the discussion shifted to keeping the hideout's residents safe from V2, the robed Psi-User on Amaterasu's back began to stir. He was finally starting to come to after the blow from Akira's Sword Legion, shifting just enough to roll off of the celestial wolf's back, hitting the concrete face down with a thud.

A slight groan was the only sound that came from the soldier as he laid on the ground. He was clearly still quite groggy from that hit, not making much of an effort to speak or stand at the moment.

If any measures were going to be taken against the man, it would have to be soon.

Terrence Boom
Terrence was appreciative that they had an opportunity to sort this whole feud between Officer Howard and V2 out, because he hadn’t had a second to just listen and collect some context on the whole situation since his arrival here. If there was something bad about the robot that the rest of them deserved to know, it seemed like common sense to hear the officer out, and maybe get V2’s side of the story as well.

What he couldn’t predict was how Frisk reacted to the situation. It was… a careless response, some might say- and it entirely brushed off Officer Howard’s concerns, which weren’t exactly sounding invalid at this point (he was still waiting to hear V2’s side of things, but it didn’t seem to be coming). Terrence hadn’t been here for long, but he’d grown to respect the officer, making it a little hard to support Frisk as she opted to voice her apathy and walk away from the situation.

But, luckily, it didn’t end there. Akira’s next words caused Frisk to stop, and revisit the situation with a more open mind, something Terrence was grateful for, letting out a slight sigh of relief. If things had just been left like that, he had a feeling it would’ve turned out badly, given how serious the officer was about this.

V2’s own defense, or… lack thereof, didn’t inspire much confidence, but his proposal also wasn’t completely unreasonable. This was the hard part about trying to do good- some situations just didn’t have an obvious and perfect solution, and that was something Terrence didn’t like. When he’d battled that person back in China… there had been no solution, no ending in sight other than death. He’d been saved by someone else who had opted to take the blood onto their hands that day, but even then, it felt like a cop-out.

This wasn’t quite the same situation, it had a lot more variables, and death seemed like a much more avoidable one, at least.

Frisk seemed highly concerned with getting back home as she put forward what Terrence felt was a more reasonable approach than before; he could share in that sentiment, because he had some seriously important, literally world-altering business to take care of back there. He wanted to go back and deal with it, but… there was also something really, really bad happening here. Would it be bad to just find the simplest path out and take it? Maybe it was more important to prioritize the problems back home? Was that selfish?

Once again, no perfect solutions.

“Getting home is important,” he nodded, staring (not really) off in the direction of the hideout. “I’m sure we all have things we need to get out of here and do… I know I do. I know Frisk does. But… I’d still like to be careful. There’s just so much we don’t know about this place… and about each other. That’s not anyone’s fault, but… that's how it is,” he kept his gaze down. Even if this wasn’t their world, he didn’t want to cut any corners, and he wanted as few people at risk as possible- the same philosophy that had done him well (mostly) throughout Messiah HQ. Minimize risk. Minimize death. It wasn’t that he didn’t appreciate V2’s help so far, but if Officer Howard’s story was to be believed- V2’s lack of protest seeming to prove it- he was also a bit of a risk, at least until they could learn more. Whatever they ended up deciding on… yeah, Tracy was right. They had to get out of these streets that had been swarming with Sumeragi forces like, twenty minutes ago.
"Yeah, agreed- we should get out of these streets that were just swarming with Sumeragi forces like, twenty minutes ago."

"Oh...yeah he said that didn't he?" Boboiboy seemed a little embarrassed thinking back about that encounter, scratching his cheek nervously. "I wouldn't take him so seriously. Thorn, Blaze and Thunderstorm are all elemental splits of me. Thorn just sees them all as family, which I guess we sort of are if you think about it?"

It was definitely awkward to pick up the pieces of what Thorn, Blaze, and Thunderstorm left him with, having been introduced before the original. Honestly? Was nice having some his age around. Due to being the tight structure of his organization, that didn't leave much room for socializing outside of the crew. While he still loved his friends to death on board the ship, it was nice to breath outside of the bubble for a change, despite the circumstances for it.

"So...penguins huh? How does that happen?" He half joked.
