I'm considering getting the Wii version after playing the Xbox 360 version with my brother. It was the first CoD game I'd played and it is a fun game, but there are a few issues I had with it. First was the level design; the levels, although designed well, had a lot of parts in them that just seemed half-assed. For instance, having a blatantly open door leading into a house that you can't actually enter because there's an invisible barrier in the way....what's the point? Why didn't they just shut the door instead? That way, you can actually tell by looking at the building that you can't enter. Also, low walls that could be easily jumped over would have invisible barriers too, when they could have easily just made the wall too high to jump over. Little things like that just made the game's level design seem rushed. Secondly, the story mode. Beating it within a day is easy. Now I know CoD was more about Xbox Live than it was about its single player mode, but this was just ridiculous to the point where there was actually no point in buying the game at all if you don't have Xbox Live since you could very easily beat it with one rental. Finally, and this is more specific to the console than the actual game, the controls - sprint and knife by clicking the analog sticks in cramps your hands up after a while. Not good.

CoD was good fun, but a lot of the people at my uni hail it as God's gift to the gaming world, and put simply, it really isn't. At all. If you like FPS and are able to play online, then by all means get CoD since it does that job very well. Just be aware that it is far from perfect.
