A reminder: If you want to ask an RP thread creator if you can join their RP, do so in private - via conversation or profile messages - or via the thread's discussion thread, if one exists. Do NOT ask if you can join an RP on the RP thread itself! This leads to a lot of unnecessary OOC chatter and that's not what the RP boards are for.

Ryker shook his head and crossed his arms. "Nothing happened at all," the boy said sternly. Then something caught the corner of his eye. Kevin! He jumped up and tried to rush over, before Dalton grabbed the back of his collar and lifted him up.

"No way kid, I was told to-" but Dalton's speech was cut off due to Ryker jamming his elbow into Dalton's ribs, making him lose his breath. Then he scrambled over, only to hear Kevin's speech.

His face became solemn, and he stared at Kevin, with a fiery pain on in his yes. "Get up, Kevin. Right now, giving up, is making you seem like you don't want to be a hero. If you want to be a hero, then reach for your dreams. Reach high, an beyond your circumstances. There is no bad hands dealt in life, and I still firmly believe in that. You have just been dealt a hand, that has a hard strategy to figure out. But when you figure out that strategy, the reward is greater. So get up Kevin. Rise to the challenge." There was tears forming in the boy's eyes that were quickly wiped away by his free hand. "You are strong, and you've made it this far. Giving up would make everything you've fought so hard for vanish. Rise to the challenge, Kevin."
