(OOC: Happy now, LoN? xD)

As Kimzie stared at the horizon on the shore of Sandgem Town's beach, thoughts raced through her mind. It was only 2 years since she started her journey, and already it had ended. She remembered the joyous days when she played with William's Absol, and when she was adopted into the Rin household. However, sad memories were also whirling around her head, like the time her father killed William's Absol with a Shiny Heracross he purchased from overseas. And yet it only seemed like yesterday that Kimzie left the Rin Mansion to pursue a journey filled with Pokemon.
After a few months when Kimzie had ended her journey and filled her Pokedex with a plethora of information, she was then called by Professor Rowan to come to his laboratory.

"But what was it that Professor Rowan wanted to talk about?" she wondered while she hugged her knees on the warm sand.

Suddenly, a rather small Pikachu with messy front hair ran up to Kimzie and tugged on her shirt. "Pi-pika-pi," it said calmly as Kimzie turned around.

"Oh Big Bang," Kimzie said to the Pikachu, "you're right. It's time to go meet the professor. Wouldn't want him to be waiting now, would we?" Kimzie then stood up and as if on cue, the Pikachu leapt up on her shoulder.

After entering Professor Rowan's laboratory, Kimzie was then greeted by Athena, William's sister, and also one of Professor Rowan‘s underlings. "Lil' Kimzie, how nice of you to join the doctor in this new research we're working on. Come, this way," Athena said as she and Kimzie walked up to the table. There, the Professor was eating some chocolate ice cream with whipped cream. "Doc, Kimzie's here," Athena said in a mildly irritated voice.

"Hmm?" Professor Rowan said as he looked up at the two females. "Oh Kimzie, how good to see you! It's been too long," he said as he placed his ice cream down on the table and walked up to Kimzie with a great handshake. (OOC: Just to let you all know, Professor Rowan can be controlled by anyone. And yes, he's somewhat out of character in here.)

"It's great to see you too, Professor Rowan," Kimzie said with a nervous chuckle. "So professor, what exactly are you working on?"

Professor Rowan then walked away and went to gaze at outside a nearby window. "Tell me, Kimzie, were you surprised by all the different moves and types of Pokemon there were on your journey?" he asked.

"Yes. I was," Kimzie said with a quick nod. "From the adorable Bulbasaur to the beautiful Frosslass. Although I have yet to have seen any legendary Poke-"

"Legendary Pokemon. Hrrmmph," Professor Rowan grunted. "The chances of encountering them are as zero to none. However, they are not the reason why I asked of you to come over here at this very moment," the old man said as he turned to look in Kimzie's direction. "Have you ever wondered how a Pokemon can be element-based?"

"Yes I have," Kimzie replied meekly.

"Well that is why I have called you here today," the professor said as he walked over to the table and took a small spoonful of his frozen dessert. "I am researching why Pokemon have different types. Why a Pikachu, like your Big Bang, is an Electric-type and can absorb electricity from their cheeks. Why a Scyther turns from a Bug-type and Flying-type into a Bug-type and Steel-type the moment it evolves into a Scizor.
And that's why you're here. I need you to gather up the DNA of all Pokemon by the means or anything that does not harm or upset them. For example, your Pikachu looks like it needs a trim, or you can collect the drool of a slowpoke, if you will. Are you up for the task, Kimzie?" the professor said.

"Yes sir," Kimzie said.
"Very well then," Professor Rowan said as he finished his ice cream. "Now, Athena, if you would kindly update Kimzie's Pokedex."

Athena then nodded and proceeded to take Kimzie's Pokedex and do so. After a few minutes of swearing to herself, Athena then displayed to Kimzie her updated gadget. "All you need to do is push this blue button," Athena said as the demonstrated to the young girl, "And this slit will appear. Then, you put the extract of Pokemon DNA on this slit, press the blue button again, and the DNA will be sent back to the lab. Simple, right?" Athena then noticed the Pikachu on Kimzie's shoulder.
"Let's try a demonstration," Athena said as she grinned evilly. She then plucked a single hair on the Pikachu and quickly placed it on the slit before the Pikachu could react. Suddenly, the Pikachu hair glowed blue and was immediately found in one of the test tubes near Kimzie. "See?" Athena said as she smiled.

Kimzie nodded silently. "Good. Now remember, you can always recruit people to join us in our research as long as they don't use it for evil and crap like that. Alright?" Kimzie nodded once again. "Good. Have a great day, Lil' Kimzie!" Athena said as Kimzie then headed out for the door. "Ah, and not a-"

Suddenly, Big Bang ran back in the laboratory and then used Thundershock on Athena. "ACK!" the woman said, only to have the Pikachu exit the lab. "Why that litt-"

"Athena! Hurry up and help me examine this DNA!" Professor Rowan said.

"Coming, doctor…" Athena said meekly as she slowly walked over to the professor.

(OOC: Yes. First PRP. Yay xD
By the way, this is the first and last time Athena's making an appearance. Well, at least for now. Also, if she does make an appearance, I'm the only one that can control her, as well as my Pokemon. Anyone that wishes to join, PM me.)

The mass of deep azure water gently caressed the soft, pure white beach. The palm trees adjacent to the shoreline were tall and flexible, gracefully leaning as the wind passed by them delicately. The smell of untainted salt was carried on this breeze, slowly enveloping the area around the south of Sandgem Town.

A small girl, no older than early teens, was lying amongst the sand. Her black hair was so long that it seemed to be a complete and single entity, which simply covered the rest of her body. A small creature bounded up to her, its mostly yellow torso standing out against the blue ocean. She got up, and after the pokémon leapt up to her shoulder, she made her quiet escape.

Contrary to the girls' hasty retreat, a male in his late teens didn't move a muscle. He was also waiting for his pokémon to return to him, however. He stood up from the sands of Sandgem Beach and stretched his arms, clad in the usual attire of a simple t-shirt. The boy realised he also had his laptop on his lap at the time, so standing up had made it tumble to the sandy floor.

"Aww… what!" the adolescent moaned aloud, "I know I'm a bit clumsy, but still…" The teen shifted his wait, and reached down to the electronic device. The tide had come in since he last checked — the internet clearly stealing his attention, so he was splashed in the face. At least he thought he was splashed in the face.

A pair of brown shellfish had crawled out from the desolate seabed, each shining tan claw displacing the individual grains of sand. One of them had rotated its seemingly heavy bulk towards the other, and even though they lacked visible mouths, the trainer, Adam, could tell that the pair were grinning at each other.

"Right. Juno, or Jaden. Which one of you squirted me in the face?" Adam questioned, with a grin. The pair of Kabuto looked at each other innocently, before inching forward more. One of them edged its way under the laptop, lifting it on top of its hard shell just before another wave came in. Adam reached down and picked it up, slipping it inside the laptop case around his back.

One of the Kabuto's began glowing white — not a bright white that you see in evolution, but a vivid white nonetheless. He lost all of his defined shape, and all of his sharp edges slowly rounded off to form a blob. The white glow diminished to reveal a vibrant pink creature, simply a jelly-like being. Nothing more.

"Ditto!" it announced happily, waving what could be described as its arms around wildly.

"Ah, so it was you who splashed my face then!" returned Adam with a smirk, returning the real Kabuto, Juno, to her pokéball, which is a Net Ball. The unlikely pair retreated their way up the beach, finding themselves a makeshift seat in the form of the sea barrier. He flipped open his laptop, wiped some water and sand off from the keys and noticed a flickering icon in the corner of the desktop. Adam moved the mouse over the icon and it brought his single new email up to read, entitled "Pokédex upgrade", forwarded by his father from Professor Rowan. Adam focussed his eyes on the screen and read with intent.

(OOC: Hey, I sent you a pm about me joining QA so I hope you don't mind me joining in suddenly.)

Walking casually along the trail from Jublilife to Sandgem, Spencer starting mumbling to himself the way he always does when he's in deep thought.
"...hmmmmm this isn't the first time Rown's called me to his lab for one of his 'emergencies.' Last time I ended up on a quest to catalog every pokemon in the world. What's the old geezer want this time?"
Just then Fierce, Spencer's Sandslash and lifelong partner, jumped out of the ground and gave Spencer a disaproving look.
"I know Fierce, I know. The old man has done a lot for us and we owe him a debt of gratitude. It's just that the dude always thinks too big, ya know?"
Fierce nodded his oddly colored head because that was too true. Fierce had been possesed by a dieing ghost pokemon (and don't ask how a ghost pokemon can die ok?) and gained an enormous amount of strength. He now possesesed two-times the amount of power a normal sandslash did. Though oddly colored, he is a big threat on the battlefield.
"Well here we are. Get ready Fierce cause I think he's got a big job in store for us!"
Spencer and Fierce walked inside and was greeted by Rowans' three assistants who told him to meet Rowan in his room in the back.
"Ah Spencer and Fierce, good to see you two again. I see you still haven't expelled that ghost pokemon out of Fierc yet, hm? Well that's not what I called you here to do. You see, I recently sent one of my assistants on a quest to get DNA samples of each pokemon. You know, hair, drool, or a toenail: that kind of stuff. Well I want you, Spencer, to assist her on that quest. It'll be like filling up your Pokedex all over again!"
"Lucky me" Spencer thought to himself "Don't worry Professor, I'll meet up with her when I can. What's her name?"
"Kimzie. Don't worry you'll know who she is when you meet her. Now get moving, no time to waste!"
"OK OK I'm going!" Spencer shouts as he and Fierce run out the door and onto the trail to Jubilife.
"Oh dear, I forgot to upgrade his Pokedex."
(OOC: If there's something that you want changed I can edit it ok?)
