Chapter 3: Dawn breaks

After the long exausting battle, the group has decided on setting camp for the night. As the moon gleams in the night sky, Talon stood out in the fields, feeling the cold breeze as he watched calmly.

'Things do not seem well... How in the heck would there still be Mana-infused weapons?' Talon thought to himself.

"Talon..."

He looked behind him and noticed Victoria wih a worried expression. Curious, he asked.

"Something wrong?"

"Well... It's about earlier." She replied. "Hans told me about the bandit you three fought and..."

"Worried for my safety?" He finished before scoffing. "Like a bandit using an axe like that can even hit me."

"As long as you're alright... Well, we should he back, Conner and Hans are cooking tonight."

"Alright, I do feel a little hungry..."

"Just try not to make a mess like you usually do." Victoria teased.

"Hey! That was just one time!"

And with that, they head back to the camp. With Victoria laughing and Talon grumbling at her tease.

Yacker sat, Bored and looking at the loot he acquired in the previous battle, he sighed as he thought
Why can I never get any Good loot, well, aside from this new bow.
He saw Victoria and Talon Coming back, and said
"Ah, good to now you're back now. Its not like Talon was away for ages..." he rolled his eyes.

Victoria gave a glare at Yacker. "You did leave us without a word back then."

"Maybe we should have left you back then..." Talon followed.

Alex held the red gem in his hand, staring at the jewel as he thought back. Were all bandits bad? And what was the hooded man the bandit mentioned.

"Hm? Is there something wrong, Prince Alex?" Flint asked.

"Ah! F-Flint, I'm fine... Just a little tired." Alex waved off.

"Ah, after any battle like the ones we've faced, surely you might feel sore here and there." Flint took notice of the red gem. "Oh? That's a red gem. That can be added to our currency! Surely one can sell about-"

"NO!" Alex yelled. "I-I mean... I'll keep this for a little longer..."

"Oh. Well as long as you command it, I shall agree to your little keeping!" Flint saluted.

"Oh Come on! I got loot! LOOT!" Yacker Replied! He Was annoyed that the princess didn't get the idea of how important loot was to him, then he said to talon "Also, Have I caused Any trouble for you guys?" He shook his head, and said "No I HAVEN'T!"

"What's the point of the 'Loot' if only the bow is in used?" Talon crossed his arms. "We don't have any axe fighters, the bullion is just something we can sell and the talisman is pretty much usel-"

"Wait, Talon. Now that I think about it. That talisman can be useful for you." Victoria got out.

"Wha? Why me?"

"Because, you're not really that well in combating against magic users. Also, the mana weapons you speak of sounds like they use magic based attack."

"Well... I- uh..." Talon stumble with his words, not knowing what to say.

Yacker, deciding to avoid getting shouted at anymore, Left, although the sack was left. with all the loot aside from the bow. sitting down in a different area of the camp, near where Alex and Flint were, he was muttering

"Why doesn't anyone respect me. because many people say I'm bad because when you're in war, No matter who you are, or what Status you have, As soon as you kill one person, you've either got a thousand more who want you dead, or guilt, and that people like 'bloody' bandit and rouges are the worst. even though many, like me, didn't choose the monster life, we had no choice." he Started looking at his old bow, still tattered and it had way too many bloodstains. Sure he hated the deaths he caused, but he knew that in war, its normally kill or be killed. If he didn't kill them, they would kill him, and Others too.
