OK how can you get your friend code on diamond/pearl? Every time I try to look at mine on my Pal Pad it says,"Please log on to Nintendo WFC. What does that mean?

In order to get your Friend Code for the first time I believe you have to go downstairs in a Pokemon Center and talk the person on the right. They will register you with a friend code and it should appear in your Pal Pad.

You have to log onto Nintendo Wi-Fi connection downstairs in a Pokemon Center before you can see your friend code.
