Halo (All)

Just wondering of how many Halo players there are out in the Xbox world. So, basically, what's your favorite Halo game? I'm just starting out with Halo, myself.


The only game I have right now is Halo 3: ODST with the Halo 3 Multiplayer disk (No Campaign, sadly. :/). My username, if you want to look me up on Live to play, is ZeldaG2016. I've only beaten Normal, but I'm working on Heroic now. ^.^

I know there -was-a Halo topic at some point, that I started. I think my fall was making it a storyline topic about the universe itself. But yeah, that was ridiculously long ago.

See, I'm a Halo storyline expert. My favorite of the series is Halo 2, because it had a very rich storyline, and I love how they brought in Thel 'Vadam for fleshing out the Covenant side of things.

Also, I am so sorry that you only have ODST. That's terrible. You should pick up Reach, because it was Bungie's apology for the abhorrent "plotline" they shoved into Halo 3. Or Halo 2, because it is awesome. Actually, you should play from Halo:CE to Reach in one big marathon. Also, Halo Anniversary is coming out in December, so we have that to look forward to. Don't even mention the Reclaimer trilogy, because if it's going to have ties to Cryptum, we're all screwed.

On LIVE, I'm Covenant Dance. I really need to get the 360 back online, because yeah, I have multiple friend requests that I haven't accepted yet. XD

Yeah, I'm looking into buying Reach, but my problem is my membership is running out soon. :/ I've played Reach with my brother in-law, and I'm hoping to ask him if I could have his game after he's done.

I haven't played CE, but I have played through the rest. 2 is definitely amazing story-wise, but my all-out favorite is Reach because I am totally biased towards games that have epic customization options for your character(and the lovely new Forge techniques~).

On LIVE, I'm ShocariDarkwolf, but my gold has expired so I can't really play online right now(curse being a broke college student D:< )

My favorite part about Reach? HALSEY'S JOURNAL.

It was incredibly done, and it just blew me away (insert Breaking Benjamin ref here much?).

Also, is anyone else a MAJOR fan of Marty O'Donnell for his beautiful music work? If he's not doing Halo 4's soundtrack, I may boycott the Reclaimer series for that -alone-. It just isn't Halo without Marty.

It's official. Reach is the last Halo that's actually Halo-y. With all the Cryptum-based bullshit and the whole random shift in direction the series is getting to things that make fuckall sense with Halo... Yeah.

Anything past Reach is dead to me. That is all.

The new series has Master Chief, space marines and a bunch of aliens being shot.

Seems pretty Halo-y to me.

See, it's probably this sort of attitude that made 343i think they can get away with this shit. Sad thing is, they probably can, with how bloody retarded a lot of the player base is. <<;

Although, Chief is not necessarily Chief (apparently Steve Downes might not reprise his voice role) - which is not too surprising because apparently this new series is going to focus on character development on chief and apparently focus on the Chief/Cortana thing (which alone may mean a LOT of complete bullshit that makes no damn sense). Oh, yeah, and somehow I doubt space marines would be around in an area of the universe which hasn't seen a human since... er... well. who knows if it ever did. Cryptum would probably say it did. <<;
