How to upload pictures/gifs onto your "About Me" page

I've seen most people post pictures onto their "About Me" pages and i don't know how you do that. Will you help me?

You can't upload them directly INTO your profile - what you do is upload the image onto an external host like imgur, and when you're editing your profile, add them in the way you add an image to a post normally - using the 'Image' button which appears over the text box or alternately, img tags.
