So I received a shiny eevee, and my OT isn't on it, I really want to change it's nickname to Dove, so unless you are reading this and your OT is Mia and you received a shiny eevee from the daycare that you one day traded away, I would have to use a PowerSave, if it is just a simple nickname change, will I get banned? Remember I won't be doing anything but a nickname change.

I'm a little confused what you mean by "banned". Do you mean from official Pokemon tournaments? Or is it something else entirely?
Wait I forgot what an official tournament? Because if it is just battling another player, then whatever. But if it is being banned from trdaing, then there is my Problem
They cannot LEGALLY ban you from using the trade system they can prevent you from using generated Pokemon but not ban you from trading
You're not going to get banned for doing that. People have been doing it for years now. Personally I dislike how tolerated and accepted hacked (or tooled-with if hacked is too strong a word for your tastes) Pokemon are in general, but they would not be out there in such numbers if people were being banned from regular gameplay features as a result. You have the right and ability to do it without real consequence..outside of the previously mentioned tournaments.
Just to clarify: they can legally ban you for whatever reason you like.
That said, in this case a modified nickname is unlikely to get you banned from online play. You'd only need to be careful if you went into official tournaments, like VGC or the online ladders, as they're subject to greater scrutiny. (In the case of VGC, an actual person checks your team.)
Well I actually don't like official tournaments so yay! It doesn't matter to me. Though after that I think I'm just gonna lock my PowerSave in a box, and throw away the key so I don't hack any more after that. Because all I will do is change nicknames.
