Ok... exactly what is Metronomes effect, in percent if anyone knows.

Because of the attack that goes by the same name, it is harder than all hell to search for, and Serrebii.net doesn't tell me anymore than the game.

I tried giving it to my Cloyster (ability:Skill Link) and used Icicle spear and Spike cannon both, many times in a row, hoping that it would be a good combination. But I saw ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE!

Can anyone help?

(just a guess/not sure)
the metronome might only increase the attack if you use it in a 2nd turn in a row, not a repeated attack (like fury cutter)
just my guess
also if serebii doesn't work you can also try

Yes, it only increases the attack if it's used over 2 or more turns in a row. Like Roolout and Ice Ball. It increases the attack by 10% everytime and only up to a 100% more power (10 attacks in a row to gain the best effect). The power gained is also lost when you change moves. Moves like Rollout, Ice Ball, and Rage work best with the Metronome.

I used Spike cannon many times in a row and noticed no difference...
Separately I used Icicle spear over and over...

According to you it should have been double power by the time I was using it a third time in a row (assuming it increases each time 2-5 hit attacks hit), so in total Icicle spear would have 120 power(STAB), and Spike cannon would have 200 total...

I can tell you that I would know if I was hitting something with an attack more powerful than Giga Impact/Hyper Beam....

It's not every hit. It's every turn.
So I'll use Aerial Ace with Swellow.
First Time Aerial Ace: 60*1.5*1.0=90
Second Time in a row on the next turn: 60*1.5*1.1=99
Third Time in a row on the next turn: 60*1.5*1.2=108
Fourth Time in a row on the next turn: 60*1.5*1.3=117
Fifth Time and so on: 126, 135, 144, 153, 162, 171, 180 (10th/Final Time you get a power boost)

Ok... that clears things up...

there went that strategy :p
Would have been really nice with my Corsola's Rock Blast (4 hit = 300 Power)
Oh well, I'll try it with Rollout/Ice Ball then...

Does it keep increasing if you miss? I wouldn't think that it would...
