Character I'm Using
Name: Ryu
Title: The Eternal Wanderer
Age: 34
Origin: Capcom (Street Fighter)
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Species: Unknown
Occupation/Job: Martial Artist
Personality: Ryu is a silent, humble, submissive, respected and respectful individual.
Special Abilities: Hadoken, Tatsumaki Senpukyaku, Shoryuken, Shakunetsu Hadoken, Hado no Kamae, Joudan Sokutogeri, Ren Hadoken, Baku Hadoken, Hado Shoryuken, Mind's Eye, Thrust Strike, Denjin Renki, Kakko Fubatsu, Shinku Hadoken, Shinku Tatsumaki Senpukyaku, Shin Shoryuken
Backstory: Ryu was orphaned at age 5 with no memories of his parents or wether they were still alive. He was adopted by Gouken in his dojo, teaching him in the ways of martial arts. This is also where Ryu met Gouken's master, Goutetsu, another of Goutetsu's students who would later become one with the Satsui no Haido, Akuma, and Gouken's best friend's spoiled son, Ken Masters. When Ryu and Ken turned 23, Gouken told them they could travel the world. While Ken went to his home country, the US, Ryu set his sights on Sagat in Thailand. After arriving in Thailand, Ryu defeated 20 Muay Thai users, then Sagat, who had, upon being defeated, been scarred and swore vengeance on Ryu. After that, Ryu travels the world further, soon reaching a secluded island called Gokuentou. This is when Akuma tells Ryu about the Satsui no Haido, an energy driving users of their shared martial art to win even by killing the opponent. Ryu wins while Akuma is testing him, then Akuma strands Ryu on the island with no way out. Ken then finds Ryu, giving him a red headband. Ryu and Ken once again go their separate ways. Ryu then meets a Japanese schoolgirl named Sakura who expresses her desire to train under him. Ryu replies that he still has much to learn, but still lets her take a picture of him. Ryu is then confronted by Sagat, who is still bruised from their first battle months prior. Ryu ends up sitting out of the match altogether, since Sagat is still bruised. Ryu is still troubled by Akuma's description of the Satsui no Haido, he encounters and defeats Rose, who unsettlingly tells him he must fight M Bison at the cost of his soul. When Ryu confronts M Bison, being defeated in the process. M Bison then brainwashes Ryu, turning him into Evil Ryu with the Satsui no Haido sealed inside him. This is nearly interrupted by Sagat, Ken and Sakura, who had each followed Ryu for their own reasons. While Ken and Sakura distract M Bison, Sagat turns Ryu back to his regular self, then Ryu destroys Bison. About a year later, Ryu enters the "World Warrior" Tournament and defeated most of the fighters he encountered. It is unknown how far he made it into the tournament, likely to the finals. Ryu then helped Guile, Ken, Chun-Li and Cammy defeat M Bison. However, Bison used all his Psycho Power to kill himself when Guile asked him to surrender himself to the military. He then wound up in an isolated desert and trained there. Then he remembers Akuma's words; "Give in to the Satsui no Haido or die." He then leaves the desert and goes to a bar where he meets a biker. The biker tells a story of an American Martial Arts Champion who abandoned his family. Believing the biker to be Ken, Ryu goes to said champion's house, but is ambushed by C Viper. Cammy then ambushes C Viper, but Cammy is no match, then C Viper tortures Cammy. Ryu then succumbs to the Satsui no Haido and nearly kills C Viper, who barely escapes. Angered, Ryu slaughters most of the SIN scientists who witnessed the fight. Ken, Chun-Li, Guile and Sakura manage to calm him down. A bit later, Ryu battles Seth and is defeated. Suddenly, the exact opposite happens, and Ryu passes out from a new power, sensing it in Ken, whom then parts ways with Ryu. Ryu enters a tournament for a rematch with Ken and to train harder. Ryu wins against most of the others before fighting a copy of Seth. After beating Seth in S.I.N. HQ, the building starts collapsing. Ryu unleashes the Satsui no Haido on the BLECE machine, escaping the building. He then encounters Gouken, who has in fact survived his last battle with Akuma, and Gouken uses the "Power of Nothingness" to seal the Satsui no Hado which is eating at Ryu, knocking him unconscious. Akuma then arrives on the scene to challenge his brother for a death duel, the winner of which will claim "the cub" (meaning Ryu). The outcome of the duel is unknown but, since Ryu is later seen free of Satsui no Haido's influence, it is very likely that either Gouken won or the battle ended in a draw (possibly interrupted). Later, Ryu and Ken chase their long-lost master along a cliff face, with Ken wanting Gouken to stick around while Ryu wishes him well. Afterwards, he and Ken are walking through the desert while Rufus mocks them on his motorcycle, though it later breaks down and he is left pushing it while Ryu and Ken drive by (in Ken's jeep). Ryu later bids Sakura farewell as she, Dan and Blanka leave for home on a cruise ship. Sometime later, having decided that his battles have made him stronger, he meets a now-older Sakura. What happens next is unknown, although Gouken might have taught Ryu the Shin Shoryuken and Denjin Hadoken at some point. Ryu meets with Dhalsim, training Mahesh, and says he is still struggling with the Satsui no Hado and needs help. They decide to have a spar. After the spar, Dhalsim tells him that suppressing the power will eventually lead to the power consuming him. He tells him that he needs to face the Satsui no Haido and conquer it. Necalli drops down from above, looking to consume fighters' souls. Dhalsim defends Mahesh while Ryu fights Necalli. Necalli overpowers Ryu, which almost triggers his dark power. Dhalsim takes Ryu's punch, proclaiming that he can't let the Satsui no Haido take him over. Dhalsim fights off Necalli. Ryu notices a Black Moon veering over and blocking the sun, which gives him visions of M. Bison. Necalli eventually melts away temporarily. He is told about Necalli by Dhalsim, telling him that Necalli is an ancient being that consumes warriors' souls and only appears when many warriors are needed in a crisis. Ryu concludes that the world is in crisis because of the Black Moons. Ryu finally joins up with Ken, Chun-Li and Karin as they team up to make a final assault against Shadaloo. As Chun-Li defeats F.A.N.G. while rescuing Li-Fen, Ryu finally faces off against Bison, who is ready to challenge him, and Ryu states that his strength was to push forward and he is ready to fight him. After an epic long battle, Bison isn't giving up yet, until Ryu hits him with a Hadoken, infused with the Power of Nothingness, seemingly hinting at Ryu's mastery of the power and a sublimation of the Satsui No Hado. Bison's body begins to crack as it dissipates in a flash of light, defeating the madman. As the base is about to destroyed, Ryu, Guile, Chun-Li and Li-Fen escape; Chun-Li is slow to catch up, so Ryu uses his Denjin Hadoken to stop the fires from the explosion. After the incident, Ryu is meditating as Ken visits him for the second time. He challenges him for a friendly sparring match as he tells Ryu to prove if he already found his answer. Ryu is able to defeat Ken as Ken also manages to knock Ryu's red headband. As it falls on the ground, Ryu realizes that he already found the answer to his true strength. As he gets his headband, Ken is happy to see his friend has grown, and Ryu also says that he still needs his headband for the battle. The two are later seen having a friendly fist bump with each other. At the age of 33, Ryu continues his travelling day to day with the aim of becoming a true martial artist. Since Ken is now the father of a child their relationship has deteriorated, after a long time from being home in Japan he is summoned to a hot spring inn, where Ken wishes to meet him and introduce him to his new student, AKA Sean. Ryu, Ken and Sean later spectate a WWCA title match between Zangief and Hogen. After being hit by Zangief's Double Lariat, Hogen went on a rampage while returning to the ring and picked up a chair and threw at a woman in the crowd, Ryu deflected the chair and Sean knocked him out to avoid injury to the audience.
Ryu enters the World Warrior tournament to further advance his fighting abilities. Ryu later fights against Sean who has been asked by Ken to fight him. Ryu easily defeats him from time to time with just a single Hadoken as he noticed his actions. A year later, Ryu meets up with Ken for a friendly match in the latter's storyline, from which he emerges the victor. At some point, he encounters Alex, whom he solidly defeats. Ryu encourages the young wrestler to continue honing his abilities against strong opponents. Fascinated by Ryu's skill and determined to become stronger, Alex soon sets out to find Ryu for a rematch. In Oro's ending, Ryu is shown training but is unaware of Oro's presence as he only heard his voice. In his ending, Ryu is under a waterfall practicing his mind and body. He mumbles about the meaning of a true warrior, why he needs to be strong and reminisces his youthful days. A single leaf falls over him and he crushes the leaf with his left hand. Ryu believes that as long as his strong opponents and some fierce battles will excite him, he will possess the strength to move even one of his fingers and decides to keep on fighting. In MVC:I, Ryu, Chun-Li, Captain America, and Hulk travel to Valkanda to obtain the Time Stone. Despite Captain America's warnings, Black Panther, the ruler of Valkanda, refuses to surrender it. Ultron Sigma's drones arrive and spread the virus, infecting a Dah'ren Mohran. After Ryu and Hulk defeat the creature, Panther agrees to give them the Stone. While Doctor Light, Iron Man, Nathan Spencer, and Hawkeye build a weapon to harness the Infinity Stones, Ultron Sigma attacks Avengers Tower. In the chaos, Thanos is released and attacks Ultron Sigma, cracking the Reality Stone and forcing them to retreat. The heroes use their Stones to destroy the Symbiote and the falling core, but are infected in the process. The infected heroes then head for Xgard to infiltrate Sigma's laboratory to finish their weapon, the Infinity Buster. When Thanos learns of Death and Jedah's partnership, he becomes enraged and betrays the heroes, creating a mechanized gauntlet that absorbs Ryu's Satsui no Haido before departing for revenge. After reclaiming the Soul Stone from Jedah, Dante arrives in Xgard and pretends to surrender the Stone. Since they have no souls, Ultron Sigma is overwhelmed by the Stone and transforms into Ultron Omega. The Infinity Buster is installed into X, who uses it to destroy Ultron Omega. In the aftermath, the virus is neutralized, but since the Reality Stone was cracked, the universes cannot be separated again. The heroes agree to protect the new world and split the Infinity Stones between them to keep them safe.
