"Alright, those should be the finishing touches!"
"Well then, what are you waiting for? Wake him up!"
"We have to make sure everything is all set up, Wily." Doctor Thomas Light said to his best friend, ensuring all the circuits were connected to the charging board. "I don't want anything going wrong when we wake him up."
"Bah. You and your safety procedures." Doctor Albert W. Wily replied, tapping away at a keyboard. "Everything's set up in terms of software. Throw the switch, and we'll wake him up."
"Alright." Light said, walking over to a lever. He looked at the young mechanical boy now on the charging board - his son, Blues - and pulled the lever down to the table. Electricity coursed through the charging board, activating the robot.
Light and Wily walked over as the boy opened his eyes. "Good morning, Blues... my son."

Blues opened his eyes for the first official time. He stood up and looked at the doctors in front of him, and smiled. “Good morning to you as well, sir.” Blue looked downward at himself, examining what he was. “What is my purpose?” Blues asked blankly, examining himself in the reflective surface of the charging board.

"Purpose? Why, you have none, my son!" Dr. Light said, bringing Blues into a hug. "If you need one... then you are my child. My irreplaceable son."
"And your weapon. Remember, the military is expecting something soon." Wily stated, drinking some coffee from his skull mug.
"And they will get one. But that is not what Blues is meant for." Light replied.

“A son...that would make you my father!” Blues looked down at his own hands, examining them from all angles. “I don’t understand though...why would I need weapons?” As he said this he turned to Doctor Wily, not comprehending why he would need weapons if his purpose was being a child of a proffesor.

"Do you want to explain or shall I?" Wily said.
"I... I can do it, thank you Albert." Light replied, turning back to Blues. "See, someone like you... we needed to perform a lot of research and experimentation, and needed a lot of parts. And that, uh, requires money. We got the government to fund our research in exchange for development of an advanced robotic weapon... now of course that's not what you're meant for, but the military requires results in just under a week..."
"So we're basically going to arm you and show the military the kind of weapon tech LIGHT can create." Wily responded. "I've got a new concept to show you, by the way."
"Not now, Wily!"

“One week...that’s a lot of time! We should be able to do things that normal people do...right? I want to experience the world first! Music, History, I don’t wanna be a weapon quite yet. You both understand...right?” Blues pictured himself firing away at enemy soldiers with a rifle... which wasn’t quite an image he wanted for himself just yet.

Wily glared at Light and Blues, and Light simply smiled. He grasped Blues' hand, pulling him up a bit.
"...yes. Yes, exactly. That's what I want for you as well. Those fancy men in their suits with their guns can wait." Light said. "For now, I want to spend time with my son. Let's go experience the world together, Blues."
"Fantastic." Wily said, taking his mug and walking out of the room. "I'll leave you two to have some father-son time. Meanwhile, I'm going to get some actual work done."

“Oh, alright!” Blues followed his creator, curiosity flowing through his mind. He began wondering about himself, and if there was a way to change his appearance from the default that he was made with. “Doctor Light, do you think I could change my appearance somewhat? I want to beseen as more than what I was at the start, a bit of an add-on of sorts.”

"Of course, Blues. We can get you some clothes, and take you out in the big city." Light said with a smile, walking out. He opened up his closet and took out a box. Searching through it, he pulled out some brown pants and a red t-shirt. "How about these?" There was also a particular pair of sunglasses at the top of the box.

Blues grabbed the clothes and examined them in front of his own body, measuring the distance in between them. “Woah, these are cool!” He slipped into the clothing, stretching out his arms. “They even fit well too!” He bent down to pick up the sunglasses, and put them all as well. Blues looked at the doctor and gave him a thumbs up, grinning from ear to ear.

Thomas did the same, giving Blues a big goofy grin through his bushy beard. "Let's head out, then!" Light then began to walk out, knowing Blues would be right behind him. In truth, he was worried about what he would do with the military... but right now, he didn't care. He wanted to just spend time with his son. Introduce him to the world. And be the best father he could be.
