Flashback
Slowing from a sprint into a jog and then finally to a walk now on street level, the Uchiha had found himself free of the tornado’s pull. Here the winds were slower than back at the previous location. Obviously he didn’t go too far as the last few training halls were nearby. But still, the winds were much slower than where he previously was. Perhaps that was also due to the tornado slowing down. Unfortunately for any potential storm clouds passing by, they would be late to the party. Kiro meanwhile took a glance into the sky as he ran his right hand through his hair. “Oh well, at least the weather seems to be getting better.”
The sky itself was still drab and gray, conveying a sense of gloominess. A bleak showing compared to the vibrancy that was displayed a good few months ago. Of course the dreary view was nothing surprising to this Mist native or anyone who had been a witness to the latest incident on Hyūga property. The Uchiha had only played a slight- okay, maybe a little larger part in the tornado’s growth. It was mostly Sagisō’s fault though.
With his left hand, he pulled out a clean, sleek kunai from one of the weapon pouches. Kiro brought it up to get a better look, perhaps caught in the weapon’s attractive luster. Beautiful. Nah, it was definitely the undaunting red eyes that reflected off the iron weapon that had his attention. Kiro knew the sharingan would be nearly ineffective against this Hyūga. Honestly, Sagisō shouldn’t be worried about this development. The Uchiha might as well have been wasting unnecessary chakra.
A cool, harsh breeze then blew by, tilting the kunai ever so slightly. It gave Kiro a slightly better angle of the view behind him. Even with the exceptional eyes of an Uchiha, one could’ve easily missed the blur that appeared in the mirror-like kunai.
‘So I was wrong... good.’
Even though Kiro knew, heard and felt what was coming, he had no chance of avoiding it. For a brief moment, he also wondered why Sagisō raised such a question. All it did was give him another useless warning. The only sign of self defense from him was the kunai becoming engulfed in chakra. There really wasn’t much Kiro could do to prevent the inevitable.
Before Kiro could even respond, he was hit by Sagisō’s brutal kick, near the rib cage area. He was literally lifted off his feet and blasted away. The only thing preventing him from feeling immense, sharp pain was probably the adrenaline. Though Kiro didn’t know what Sagisō was planning next, he had a feeling she was mad. A ferocious kick using the same technique she used to rescue him. Something he had expected Sagisō to pull out. What could be considered even more worrisome was that her demeanor represented the same as when Sagisō went off on her sister’s defilers. With all her focus only on him, Kiro had no doubt she was about to release everything she had.
