Diamond and Pearl aren't even OUT yet outside of Japan. The event having to do with Darkrai in Japan would probably have something to do with the release of the 10th movie, just like the event involving Manaphy in Ranger (although that code was released on the official PokéMon website a while ago).

There is nothing in Serebii about WHEN the events that will unlock Shaymin and/or Arceus will take place, at least en masse. Which means that you're just advertising them for advertising's sake.
And, uh, I don't know what you're used to, but we don't think Serebii is the god of everything PokéMon around here. If anything, he's just a really successful cult leader.
