X/Y Official Pokémon X & Y Trailers

Here you'll find a collection of the various Pokémon X & Y trailers released via Nintendo and/or the Pokémon Company. The videos are dated and organized in the order that they were originally released. Enjoy!

Due to the amount of trailers that have been revealed older trailers have been placed under spoiler tags to increase page loading speeds. Click "Show" on the spoiler to view the video.

January 8th - Pokémon X & Y Announcement Trailer

The announcement trailer was first broadcast as part of the Pokémon Direct Broadcast on the 8th of January 2013. Not only did this trailer reveal the existence of the upcoming games and roughly date them, it was our first introduction to the Gen VI starter Pokémon and the two mascot legendaries.

February 14th - Sylveon Reveal Teaser

This trailer was revealed on February 14th, and showed off Sylveon. It also gave us a better look at attacking animations, including several moves like Swift and Trump Card.

April 7th - Mewtwo Relation Trailer

This trailer shows off more in-game footage of the new Mewtwo relation, and also shows off other Pokémon such as Genesect, Cloyster, Rampardos, Gyarados, Machamp, and Zangoose.

May 14 - Pokémon X & Y Gameplay Trailer


This trailer was revealed through the official site for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y on the 14th of May and showcased some new gameplay footage as well as showing us Fletchling, Helioptile, Pancham and Gogoat in battle for the first time.

June 11th - Pokémon X & Y Gameplay Trailer 2


The second gameplay trailer for Pokémon X & Y was shown during Nintendo's E3 focused Nintendo Direct and introduced us to the Fairy type and two new Pokémon in the form of Vivillon and Noivern.

June 12th - Pokémon X & Y Gameplay Trailer 3


The third gameplay trailer for Pokémon X & Y showed off many of the features talked about in the E3 presentation and introduced us to three new Pokémon in the form of Clauncher, Skrelp and Talonflame.

June 12th - Nintendo Developer Roundtable featuring Pokémon X and Pokémon Y


On June 12th Nintendo released a brief video that featured notable clips from the E3 Pokémon X and Pokémon Y Developer Roundtable. The video includes additional information regarding the new Player Search System (PSS) and a further look at Sky Battles and Horde Encounters.

June 14th - Pokémon X and Pokémon Y Gameplay Trailer 4


The new supporting characters Shauna, Tierno, and Trevor, as well as Gym Leader Viola, are showcased in this fourth official gameplay trailer. It's also our first look at Flabébé, Litleo, Scatterbug, and Spewpa in action.

July 12th - Pokémon X and Pokémon Y Gameplay Trailer 5


At the beginning of the 5th official gameplay trailer, we are introduced to Professor Sycamore. Inkay, Malamar, Pangoro, Swirlix and Spritzeeare shown in action (with Inkay, in particular, showcasing its new move, Topsy-Turvy). Evil rears its ugly (and fabulously orange) head as we are introduced to Team Flare, scourge of the Kalos Region (and their snappy suits). Lastly, we are given a look (at long last) at Xerneas and Yveltal's signature moves, Geomancy and Oblivion Wing (respectively).

August 9th - Pokémon X and Pokémon Y Gameplay Trailer 6


In this trailer, we are introduced to Mega Pokémon: Mega Blaziken, Mega Lucario, and Mega Mewtwo, as well as Bunnelby, Dedenne, and Skiddo. We're also introduced to Korrina and the Shalour City Gym.

August 11th - Pokémon X and Pokémon Y: Three New Mega Pokémon Revealed!


First aired during the closing ceremony of the 2013 Pokémon World Championships, this trailer shows off Mega Ampharos, Mega Mawile, and Mega Absol in battle for the first time and talks a bit more about X&Y's new Mega Pokémon.

September 4th - Get Excited for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y!

This trailer was first aired during Sept. 4th's Pokémon Direct broadcast, introducing us to three new Mega Pokémon: Mega Venusaur, Mega Charizard, and Mega Blastoise.

That's a question that only the creators could answer but as far as Gen VI goes I'd say that we're only getting this single new evolution. Then again, you never know~
 
Team Flare? Could it be a reference to 3rd Gen's Team Magma? Yes, please. My hopes just keep going up and up with these new games.

Actually, no, not even slightly. The game is laden with references to other generations, particularly Gen 3, but the naming of Team Flare is not one of them.

Don't worry, you'll get your RSE remakes. They're going to be a thing.
