Private/Closed Pokemon Rangers/Pokemon Trainers RP?

I have had this idea for awhile and I am making this thread to gauge interest in the idea. I already have a Character for one of the Trainers and I'm hoping to get a few Rangers and more Trainers =) I wrote a (sort of Longish) Introduction into the idea and I think it would be a good kicking off point for the RP if we can get one started! =)

In Almia Team Rocket types of groups have never really been an issue.

A new group Team Luna has taken advantage of this little used part of the world to set up their headquarters. They have been slowly gaining power in several regions and have been becoming more a problem. The region struggling the most in their fight has been Almia.

The Rangers haven’t been able to fight them off since Team Luna has never played fair, easily overpowering even the best Rangers partner Pokémon and friend Pokémon with their well-trained teams of Pokémon.

Rangers and Trainers don’t get along very well. Rangers see Trainers as barbaric and cruel. Confining their Pokémon in their prison Pokeballs and forcing them to battle each other for their Trainers entertainment.

Because of these views, the Rangers didn’t want to ask for help. Once Team Luna started catching Pokémon all over Almia to arm their growing ranks of new recruits, the population thinned greatly. Once many residents lost their way of life, which relied on the Pokémon around them, they were forced to move to other areas. With so many residents sending pleas for help to the Rangers, it was soon apparent that they had no other choice but to contact the other regions for help once all their attempts at stopping Team Luna failed.

Head Ranger Lola sent out the request for help to other regions affected by Team Luna, asking them to send their best Trainer (or Two) to represent their region and help the rangers defeat Team Luna at their source and hopefully stop them for good.

Head Ranger Lola did not trust Trainers at all. So she was not going to let them run free over her region. She called her Best Rangers into a meeting and told them about her inviting Trainers here. She explained that they would each be partnered with a Trainer. Needless to say they weren’t thrilled with the idea, but Head Ranger Lola explained that she had brought them in because she trusted them to keep an eye on the visiting trainers. To go with them everywhere and make sure they didn’t do anything other than rescue the caught Pokémon and releasing them back into the areas they belong. And of course defeat Team Luna. They reluctantly agreed that the problem was too great for them to handle on their own.

Hence the Rangers waiting at the docks in the coastal town of Almia where the ship full of Trainers was due to dock any minute. They were watching for the ship, quietly talking to each other about their concerns over the Trainers. They knew that this was their last hope for stopping the destruction that Team Luna had wrought and putting everything back to rights.

Hair: A mass of wild Curls and Waves, The color of which is so Dark a Purple that in some lights it appears Black and it falls all the way down to the top of her thighs
Eyes: Bright vivid silvery grey eyes – They almost seem to glow.

The contrast of her dark hair and light eyes gives her a haunted look which she uses to her advantage for battles since it throws off her opponent.


Clothing: She always wears skintight black pants made of durable material for traveling, tucked into black boots that almost reach her knees (a cross between hiking and biker boots) and a purple shirt that brings out the purple in her hair with long sleeves made of a lightweight durable material. When it gets colder she wears a black and purple hooded jacket made of the same material as her pants and a set of matching fingerless Gloves. Her nails are always painted sparkly purple. The backpack she carries matches her jacket in color and material. She keeps her Pokeballs in a special pouch one of her friends made for her, its black and attaches to her belt or she wears it around her neck tucked under her shirt when she doesn’t need it within easy reach.


Identifying Marks: Besides her unusual Hair and Eyes nothing really.
Musculature: She is very lithe and sleek, but she is stronger than she looks.


Personality: Easily makes friends with just about everyone. She is very outgoing and bubbly. She loves adventure and her six Pokémon are like her family and she treats them like she does her sister, partly like a sister and partly like her kid. She is really close to her sister Hailey (age thirteen) because she took care of her when they were younger since her parents were Pokémon Scientists, and it required them to travel all the time. She took her sister with her when she traveled for Pokémon Gym battles while she traveled the Johto and Kanto regions. She has all 8 badges from each region. She has also beaten the Pokémon League but because she had an obligation to watch after her sister (who was only eight when she beat the Pokémon league the first time after gathering the eight badges for Johto) she declined the position of being the champion. Although Hailey (age ten now) was older when she challenged the Indigo League a second time, after she collected the 8 badges for the Kanto region, Alexis still couldn’t take on the responsibility of being the Champion so she turned down the position again. In the process of going through the Indigo League twice she became friends with the Elite Four and the Current Champion.

Now Three Years Later Alexis loves to travel to other regions with her Pokémon, Her Little Sister has gone off on her own Pokémon journey, which is what allowed Alexis to Travel further from home.


Skills: Alexis considers herself to be a decent singer and she loves to dance, she isn’t the greatest but she has rhythm and doesn’t look silly so she sees that as a win. And she has even taught some of her Pokémon simple dances.
Past: She had a normal happy childhood filled with the many friends she made throughout goldenrod city. She had a bike almost as soon as she could ride one and her parents gifted her a Growlithe to be her companion and protector. She has been by her side for as long as she could remember.

Family: When she was 6 her little sister was born. When she was 9 her parents got a new job and ended up being away from home a lot, most of the time there was one of them home, or another member of the family. Once she was ready to go on her Pokémon adventure with her Growlithe her mom got promoted and her dad decided to go with her instead of staying home to take care of her sister. And so Hailey came with her everywhere on her adventure. Once Hailey was 11, Alexis no longer had to worry about her sister, her parent’s had given her a Vulpix for her birthday and she got to go off on her own adventure.

Pokémon: All her Pokémon are Female

Arcanine: Ability = Justified: She was Alexis’s first Pokémon, given to her as a companion and almost like a bodyguard for her when she was really little as she rode her bike all over and around the city. They grew up together and Alexis obtained a Firestone around her fourth badge so she evolved her Growlithe and she is still her most loyal companion.

Dragonite: Ability = Shed Skin: Alexis’s second Pokémon, won as a prize at the game corner in her hometown as a Dratini before she left on her Journey. It grew and evolved into a Dragonair over her journey through Johto and became a Dragonite after she had won her second badge in the Kanto region.

Gengar: Ability = Levitate: Caught as a Gastly in Bell Tower when exploring the tower in the evening. It had tried to scare her by appearing out of thin air and then Alexis managed to catch it with a ball before it could disappear again. Although their bond started out tenuous they eventually bonded over their mutual love of practical jokes. It evolved into a Haunter before she faced the Elite Four the First time and a friend helped her evolve her Haunter into a Gengar by helping her friend evolve her Kadabra into an Alakazam.

Lapras: Ability = Water Absorb: A gift from her parents when she defeated the Elite Four the first time. She bonded instantly with the gentle giant and they have been winning battles ever since.

Venusaur: Ability = Overgrow: Caught as a Bulbasaur in the middle of the forest when she was traveling in Kanto. She has been traveling at night with her Arcanine by her side, trying to reach the next town, her Arcanine had heard the disturbance and when they went looking for the noise is when they found a Bulbasaur trying to fight off several Pidgey, Arcanine scared off the Pidgey and Alexis caught the Bulbasaur who was distracted and weakened by its battle with the Pidgey. It evolved into a Venusaur during her adventures after she had defeated the Elite Four for the Second time.

Pikachu: Ability = Static: The newest gift from her parents for beating the Elite Four a second time, has not yet evolved into a Raichu since she has not been able to obtain a Thunderstone.

Eyes: Blue (The mixed of the two makes him look friendly and a nice guy to hang around with)
Clothing: A black hooey with a green t-shirt and he has the iconic trainer hat that's black, and green pant's with black shoes
Identifying Marks: He all way's seems to have a smile on his face. And has a scare on his left arm
Musculature: He dose not have "Guns" but he is not fat, he is just in the middle, aka skinny with a little muscle on him
Personality: He is a nice caring person who still has a temper, he cares about his Pokemon as much as himself and will protect them no madder what. He is a comedian his family say's so when you're near him your bound to chuckle a bit at least. But he's kinda different after he defeated the elite fore. He is now more competitive but still have his jokes with him tho, But except seeing the world as one hole joke, he now look's at wonderful views and relax's. He is still the champion of the elite fore but most of the time dose not come because he's visiting other regions and seeing what cool people and Pokemon and other stuff there are. You will bump into him not on purpose most of the time.
Skills: David is a pretty good guitar player and Pokemon trainer, he dose not think he's the best Pokemon trainer out there but still thinks he is still pretty good at it.
Past: David always lived in a family house of 4: his dad,mom,his brother, and himself. They were not the rich's people but were not poor ether. His past was not that bad, he got his first Pokemon Charmander, he did not battle with his Charmander, it was kinda his dog to say, he petted it and hugged it and other dog things. But A few years later and soon as he new it he was the kalos champion.
Family: His family is like eatery other persons family, nice and caring and will do anything for him.

Pokemon:
Charizard: Ability= Blaze
His first pokemon that his parents gave him at the age of 11. His parents used to live in Kanto so they had some Pokemon form there in there PC. and a Charmander was one but this is when David was only a baby. Charizard is a nice and gentel but can be strong and ruthless at times.
Greninja: ability = Torrent
His second Pokemon that he got from professor sycamore. After that him and his froakie and defeated gym's with him (and not with his Charmander because he has no fighting experience) Now his Froakie is a Greninja and he is still fighting with him. Greninja is a prankster and a little bit annoying at times.
Gogoat: ability = Sap Sipper
His first captured Pokemon. He did not start liking her because he did not have a bond with her as much as his other Pokemon but after a while she became part of the team (and the only female.) She is strong and smart.
Lucario: ability = Inner Focus
He got a Lucario for something to talk with and express his feelings, because a Lucario is the closes thing to a human. But Still use's him in battle and of course Lucario understands him and makes good friends with David. Lucario is nice and caring.
Gengar: ability = Levitate
Once David was in a haunted mansion when ghost type Pokemon Start attacking him (this is when he only had Froakie and Skiddo (and Charmander still could not fight.) But when a Gengar out of all things help him he won'ted to get captured so he did. He is a nice a caring person that can also be mischievous.

Clothing: A black three button, collared, shirt; white skinny jeans; black converse; Dark blue jacket with white lining; a ridiculously long silver, silky scarf; usually wears a white flower crown.
Identifying Marks: Her maroon/dark red hair, and that stupid scarf.
Musculature: Not "skinny", but more of average size; pale skin.
Personality: Jolly, Happy-Go-lucky; trusts everyone and believes everyone is good until they prove her otherwise.
Skills: Can almost always talk her way out of trouble; is oddly good with combo moves, which is why she decided to come help.

Past: (All her pasts vary in every RP I join lol) She grew up in Lumiose City, and started her Pokemon Jouney when she turned sixteen, she her father felt that her trusting attitude would cause her more harm then good.
When she was eight, however, she and her best friend where in a near by forest when it caught a flame. Her friend never made it out after telling her to run and get help. She has an immense fear of fire since.

Special Features: Wears dark purple bows around her ears.
History/Personality: She was caught when she was a Bunnery by Lady, and the two went through tons of competitions since. She is gentle, caring but hot-headed.

Awesome we have three trainers now! That's perfect we just need three Rangers now! Which makes it an even number! I would be willing to also create and control one of the Rangers if need be but I am hoping we can get three more people to be the rangers! =)

Another Trainer certainly wont hurt! =) I'm happy to have you join us ^_^ Also to anyone who has already made a trainer, part of the basis of this RP is going to be having each trainer having a ranger escort so Ideally this means equal numbers for trainers and rangers! So if you have already made a trainer and wish to also control a ranger please do so! Should make things interesting! =)

Hair: Medium length, white hair. Kind of messy, but not unkempt.
Eyes: Crystal-Blue, almost white eyes
Clothing: Being a high-ranked Ranger, he does not wear the usual Ranger outfit. He wears a white long-sleeved shirt, and black pants that are kind of tight on him. He also wears pure white tennis shoes.
Identifying Marks: His white hair, and his almost white eyes are pretty much it.
Musculature: He's pretty muscular, but he is not extremely beefy. He kind of on the skinny side.
Personality: He is quiet, as he barely says anything a lot of the time. He is gentle and caring, but he won't smother you with his care. He is strong-willed and quick-tempered, but if you get on his good side he will open up like a flower in Spring.
Skills: He is extremely athletic, he is really good at climbing, running, and jumping. But, he also likes to read, write, and draw a lot.
Past: As a child, his parents would push him to the limit on anything they felt the need to. After school, it was a workplace only. They would make him run outside, climb a rock sculpture nearby, or jump over a trench. They also made him read nonstop for hours and write entire stories in that time as well. Once he grew old enough, he joined the Pokemon Rangers. He went through training and quickly rose up through the ranks to where he is now.
Family: Other than his tough parents he has nobody.

Past: Shane's first Pokemon. One night the Ranger Academy had a surprise. A Sneasel had snuck in and was ravaging up the yard. Shane found him and felt a sudden connection, he just knew that this was supposed to be his.

Past: He traded a Skarmory for Quill. He traded with a friend of his who said "This Pokemon just does not follow orders at all" Shane took it and promised he would fix that. And what do you know? He did.

Past: Shane found Flare in a forest fire, wounded and calling for help. For it was stuck under a tree that had fallen on top of him. Shane rescued him and nursed him back to health and now he is about as loyal as it can get.

Past: His father is a celebrity son and champion of Johto and his mother was once the Sinnoh champion until she became a Pokemon professor. He was born in Snowpoint City and raised in Blackthorne City, Snowpoint City and Lumiose City. He was moved around a lot but enjoyed the travelling. He was a very keen and capable trainer since a young age and has been supported by his parents. He has received the honour of Kalos for helping disband team Flare. Currently the Sinnoh Champion.

History: A spheal caught by Delta (with the help of his dad) on Route 226. He was trained against Omegas Pokemon to learn tactics to overpower type disadvantages.
Personality: Joker, over protective of Delta and has been known to pick fights with other Pokemon if they come to close to Delta.
Pokeball: Diveball

Species: Swadloon
Nickname: Teal
Gender: Female
Ability: Leaf guard
HiddenPower: Dragon
Special Features: None
History: A sewaddle who was caught by Delta on a camping trip in Pinwheel Forest. She evolved after repeated training with Sarah's Empoleon King.
Personality: Posh, extremely tidy and organised. Fusses over Delta like a mother, which can be helpful when Delta travels with his friends, Jon and Luna.
Pokeball: Nestball

Species: Magmortar
Nickname: Ember
Gender: Male
Ability: Flame Body
HiddenPower: Dark
Special Features: None
History: He was found in Stark Mountain heavily wounded. A fight with a Rhydon put him in major trouble and Delta rushed him to Nurse Joy. After she healed him He begged Delta to catch him. And so they have remained inseparable.
Personality: Hyperactive, friendly, Loyal and caring.
Pokeball: Duskball

Species: Aerodactyl
Nickname: Screech
Gender: Male
Ability: Rock Head
HiddenPower: Flying
Special Features: None (yet, i might ask if I can use mega evolution later in the rp.)
History: Found in Pewter City and resurrected. He is usually found next to Delta when they travel.
Personality: Friendly, outgoing, likes to eat.

History: Caught in the National park by Delta when he was on a picnic with Jon and Luna. He took a long time to trust Delta after he was released by his previous trainer. But when he evolved to a Luxio he grew friendlier.

Excellent! We have 2 Rangers and 5 trainers now! This is shaping up to be pretty amazing! I'm hoping we can even this out =)

Past: Lin was raised by pokemon from the age of 5 to 12. Her parents where pokemon researchers from Kanto who were killed in a rock slide while exploring Almia when Lin was 5 years old. Lin survived a fall and was found by a family of Sceptile. She was raised alongside a young Treeko whom she named arrow. When Lin was 12 she was encountered by an old retired ranger named Zed.When Zed found Lin she was half wild and had about forgotten human speech, the girl pretty much believed she was a Pokemon. So after managing to capture her so to speak he went about civilizing her again. It took many years but the old man proved a good father figure and Lin loved him as such. He taught her the ways of the Rangers and she proved an apt pupil with her already wild honed skills. Two years ago Zed was killed in a confrontation with team Luna while trying to protect some wild Pokemon. Lin tracked down the group responsible and went after their leader. She was beaten and nearly lost an eye in the process. Since then Lin has held no love for team Luna. Lin even scares other rangers with her half feral nature and her viciousness toward team Luna. She has yet to cross the line and kill anyone but she has hospitalized some of their members. Even Lola worries for the girl and fears she may one day cross a line that she will not come back from.

Alright! We now have 4 rangers! Let's give it another couple days and see if we can get one more ranger =) If After a couple days we are still short a Ranger I can make one to fill in the spot! Yep! haha But just during the summer months for the most part =) During the School year my hours drop back to up earlyish and to bed at a reasonableish time LOL Also feel free to call me Megan but Nemo is always fine haha =) I respond to both =)

I don't mind at all. I hook up pts by putting electrodes on their head, face, legs, and hearts plus a pair of belts and a nasal canula. Then I put them to bed and monitor them through a video monitor and computer screen. I look at their brain waves, muscle tone, and 02 levels to determine what stage of sleep they are in then I mark it. I also what their air flow to see if they are having respiratory events when they sleep and then mark them.

If they have apnea when they come back I put them on whats called a cpap which is a mask that blows a continuous stream of air pressure into their lungs and I adjust the pressure until they are not having any more events

Identifying Marks: A round face, kind of childlish.
Musculature: Medium
Personality: Loud and cheery, even though a little weird. Is very protective over her friends and would do anything for them to be happy. She needs to feel important and therefor she will always try to do whatever she's able to help. Cares too much about what other's think and gets nervous in front of new people.
Skills: Healing Pokemon, deciphering problems or puzzles, giving advice. She likes music... a lot. Has a good voice, she's really known for her shadow concerts which often wake up her neighbers in the morning.
Past: Coming from a small family in Pueltown, she had always admired Rangers. Everyone loved them, respected them and, therefor, everyone wanted to be with them. Just what she wanted.
Marina tried several times to join the Rangers without succeeding, mostly because she didn't understand what being a ranger really meant; it wasn't about being important, but to care about people.
She wasn't able to join until she met Allegra, her Happiny, who she helped finding her lost Oval Stone. That was when the rangers understood her good intentions and decided to give her a chance, to test her and hope for her to take good decisions as a ranger and not to let her wish for being important take over her.

History: Not being able to use a damaging move, Allegra always felt in danger living in the wild, therefor, she spent all of her days searching for an Oval Stone so she could evolve. When she found one, she spent a largue amount of days without evolving but without losing hope in doing so.
Until one day, a Poochyena stole the Stone from her and Marina helped her getting it back. They bonded emotionally and now they're partners. For some curious reason, Allegra hasn't been able to evolve.
Personality: Sweet and caring the most of times, loves to hug and pet other Pokemon and it's really friendly. But she can be very stubborn and prideful, she hates to lose and will always put excuses to say she didn't.

So I didn't know this existed until I was notified thank you Nemo and here we go!

Clothing: His clothing can range from a lot of choices but it is usually a pair of jeans (Blue or black) Along with a long sleeved button up shirt, either plain or checked. Sometimes he may where a jacket and his shirts are usually black or white or blue.
Identifying Marks: He always, always wears his beloved fedora.
Musculature: Physically healthy however not strong at all, while he could run for a long time he can't lift a lot of things.
Personality: Fin is quite an erratic and bubbly person, speaking quickly and frequently where sometimes only he can keep up. He likes to think about things and is mainly a strategist when it comes to Pokémon battling, adjusting his Pokémon's move set if against a specific opponent. The only reason he beat the Elite four was because of his research of them, knowing what their weakness was and adapting his team around them.
Skills: Fin does not having a lot of skills except for Pokémon battling and a slight bit of artist skill. While he isn't the best at drawing he isn't terrible. You could count his strategic intelligence but it would be a stretch.
Past: Fin grew up on a farm just outside Oldale town and while he was never into farming he was into Pokémon battling, admiring the bond between a Trainer and their Pokémon, the trust they had in each other. Not to mention the battling was AWESOME. When he was about 6 a pest was eating a large amount of berries meaning the farm had less crop every single time it ate and so his parents were going to get rid of it. However as soon as Fin saw the Pokémon that was eating all their property, a Pachirisu with a strangely large stomach, Fin had to keep and so over the course of 7 years they became the best of friends until Fin set off an his Pokémon journey at 13. He beat the Elite four at the age of 14 but couldn't quite beat the champion and while he didn't win he certainly didn't loose in his eye's.
Family: His Mom and Dad are Berry farming folk, living close to Odale town and only having one son that was Fin.

Special Features: Extremely furry, quite adorable.
History/Personality: Sparky was a small Squirrel in a big island region with a lot of different and scary Pokémon so when he stumbled across a berry oasis he had to stay. It was practically heaven and he was blissfully unaware that it was a farm and he was slightly ruining peoples lively hoods. So when Sparky was found by the family he was confused, scared and worried however the child of the family took him in and you know the story from there. Sparky is about as energetic and excited as his trainer, almost being a copy if he were a human however he does have a few differences and its mostly not having Fin's habits.

History/Personality: Despite already having a Pachirisu professor Birch insisted that he received a starter and with Treecko, Mudkip and Torchic already given away Birch resorted to his other Pokémon, one of which was Chimchar. When given to Fin Chimchar initially didn't like him, often disobeying orders and being as much as a nuisance as he could however he soon grew to appreciate and like, growing close and eventually evolving into Monferno. Blitz is a fierce fighting and loves to prove his worth and fighting skill.

Ability: Drizzle
Special Features: Incredibly large size
History/Personality: Hop was once a tiny little poliwhirl, badly injured when Fin found him and so he rushed to the Pokémon centre to save him. He ended up doing so however the little Pokémon took it to heart and wanted to join Fin and so it did, eventually evolving all the way into a massive Politoad almost reaching the size of a snorlax. It has a caring nature to Fin and the other Pokémon however its relaxed and slow but able to take a hit and deliver some powerful ones.

Gender: Male
Ability: Dry skin
Special features: Speed
History/Personality: Toxicroak loves to battle and in the wild would often seek out fights with other Pokémon, this became so much of a problem Fin had to intervene to stop the flood of wild fainted Pokémon to the Pokémon centre. This was when Fin was just starting out and so his only Pokémon were his Pachirisu, Poliwhirl,Chimchar and Gible and despite fighting hard they lost. Despite this Toxicroak realised that Fin was a trainer and went up to him, taking a knee and then bowing as it had noticed it strong bond and valiant effort to defeat him. He wanted to be captured. Now as Fin's companion he's a force to be reckoned with, still having the love for battle but also good sportsman ship.

Species: Tropius

Gender: Female
Ability: Harvest
Special features: Shiny
History/personality: Fin stumbled across the majestic flying grass type when a group from team Aqua were trying to capture it against its will. Jumping in to help Fin would defend the Tropius and defeat the team Aqua Grunts, saving the shiny grass type but at the expense of a few of his Pokémon fainting. Coconut using its harvest ability gave them ala few berries to make them feel better again and being thankful to Fin allowed itself to be caught by him. Coconut is quite like a mother figure to the rest of the Pokémon on Fin's team, caring greatly for them and often looking after them when Fin can't.

Nickname: Chomp
Gender: Male
Ability: Rough skin
Special features: none
History/Personality: Chomp was first captured as a Gible by team Aqua along with many other Pokémon from where it came from. Escaping from the evil base the dragon type would search around for help until finding Fin. They stormed the base together and freed all the captured Pokémon and to show his gratitude Gible allowed himself to be caught. Very quickly did it evolve into a Garchomp and despite being an extremely fierce Pokémon in battle he's a big softie out of it.

And yes the Rangers should know each other since they work in the same building and practice together etc. But thats why I also gave the trainers a couple weeks on a boat together - so everyone could just start the RP and each group would 'Know' each other if that makes sense? So In this thread everyone posted their backgrounds, I tried to put as much detail into mine as possible to make it easier to understand my character =) If the Rangers wish to interact with each other and talk to each other they may do it here no worries! Anyone who wishes can expand on or discuss their backgrounds!

@EnderZekrom123 Hum... I'm sorry to interrupt, but I think that @NemoX542 meant for trainers to arrive later, so that the Rangers have the posibility to interact one another; just like Trainers. He/she explained that trainers were on a ship in her post.

Just wanting to help, if I'm wrong, please correct me and I hope not to bother you.

I wanted to give everyone some time to chat etc. before meeting each other! =) And I am Megan if its easier then Nemo but I also answer to that haha =) So yes Please do post among the trainers if you are a trainer and among the rangers if you are a ranger! I am hoping to give everyone a chance to interact within their group before the two mix it up in this adventure! ^_^ If anyone has ANY questions please feel free to ask me!
