Ezio Farello, June 10th, Aqua Resort, Sophian Island, Oblivia
Sophian Island, the biggest island of the Oblivia Region and home of quite some ruins. However, that was not where Ezio was just yet. Instead, he gawked at the marvellous architecture of the Aqua Resort and the beautiful waterways. If he ever decided to leave Unova and retire, he'd probably hang up his hat here. It was, ironically enough for a Rock Type user, Heaven on earth. Taking a mental note to expore this place later, the man took his first steps onto Sophian Road. Not the most creative name, but it was easy to remember and made its purpose clear.
Halfway through the route, the road was blocked by a river coursing through the stream. The road crossed the road twice actually, and there was no bridge whatsoever. Lack of infrastructure aside, this was just unsafe as playing children or old people could simply fall in and not get out. Placing a hand on his belt, he grabbed a Pokéball and threw it to the other side of the river, releasing a massive Steelix. It was double the size of an ordinary Steelix, which made it perfect as a bridge. The Iron Snake Pokémon lowered its head, allowing Ezio to walk on the Pokémon's body and pass the river twice. "Thank you, Excavate!" Ezio said, recalling his Pokémon before seeing his destination.
Canal Ruins was notorious for the fact that it always rained there, though the reasons behind that varied from the presence of Suicune to a Politoed with the Ability Drizzle. He was unsure which one he believed, but that was neither here nor there. The biggest problem was getting there in the first place. Excavate was tempting, but he hated rain and the river bank wasn't exactly stable enough for the weight of his Steelix. Thankfully, he never left the door without his full party of Pokémon. "Alright, Eviscerate, get me to the other side of this river." Releasing another Pokémon, a shrill roar filled the air as an Aerodactyl was released, instantly cuddling up to Ezio. "Hey girl, I love you too. Could you carry across the river?"
The Aerodactyl flew up and grabbed Ezio by his shoulders, carrying him across the river before being recalled as her trainer entered the Canal Ruins. Like the stories said, it was raining whilst the rest of Sophian Road was sunny. And if the rapidly fleeing figure of a Politoed meant anything, that was probably the culprit. Still, unusual weather was the least of his concerns at the moment. He had an underwater ruin to explore.
