Saturday June 11- Route 8, Kanto. 'Ace the Mercenary'. Last Known rank 166.
As Ace ran off, shadowy black clouds filled the sky in great unison. It began to rain and, in the distance, was the crackle of thunder as lightning struck a hill. The noise caused many people and Pokemon alike who were just waking up to scramble towards Lavender Town. Stanley looked across the road to see the Zorua making mischief as shadows emerged out of it. Lines of pure darkness randomly flew out of all parts of the fox Pokemon's body and a force field like sphere covered him. The shadowy lines struck nearby trees, cutting them off from the ground completely, and bushes and flowers alike went flying into the air. The sphere became like an anti-gravity chamber, pulling random objects off the ground. They were then consumed as they flew into the sphere and Zorua's power was bolstered. Stanley fell to the floor as he saw a tent full of campers fly into the void above him as Zorua hovered in the air. He looked around, searching hopelessly for Layla.
"Layla...girl...where are you?!" He asked to find noone near him. He saw rocks and trees fly into the black hole nearby. "What is going on here? What madness is this?!"
A young man was clutching desperately to a tree. When the tree pulled off from the ground and went towards the darkness of Zorua, he flew up, but managed to clutch onto a nearby bush then push himself onto part of the fence next to Stanley. "This thing...is it your doing?" He asked as he spotted Stanley.
"Um...I guess so..."
"That's no ordinary Pokemon." He said as Stanley nodded. "It's got to have been experimented on to have that power!"
Stanley took a step forwards towards Zorua. "Zorua." He said. "Zorua!!" He exclaimed. Inside the ball of blackness, Zorua looked as some of the spirits flying out from him quelled. Then Zorua's eyes burned a bright red as it had the opposite effect. The darkness around him grew bigger. Pieces of the land flew upwards. The man next to Stanley flew into the black hole.
Then, out of nowhere, came a large pink mass, who was seldom only effected a little by the great force pulling her towards Zorua. She stomped and stomped closer towards him then extended her body out as the pink goo surrounded Zorua in a sea of pink that covered the battered road. The creature hugged Zorua as an explosion sounded off. Stanley was knocked out.
Stanley awoke to see the Zorua badly injured on the ground with the void of darkness long gone. Route 8 was a vision of its former self as people from Lavender Town and Saffron City alike were searching through the large pieces of rubble for survivors. They found many campers, cylists and trainers, as well as a few gamblers. The group disappated as a handful of police officer dashed over to Stanley's location, accompanied by a man in a white labcoat and glasses, clearly a scientist. The police officers helped Stanley up. Layla stood in the middle of them, as a girl, and waved to him.
"There he is." She said.
"Thanks."
"Is that your Pokemon?!" One tough looking police officer pointed towards the Zorua.
"Um...yes, i'm sorry, he got out of control didn't he?"
"Well, none of us have seen anything quite like it. It created some sort of void before tearing apart the landscape and injuring many people. You do know what you've caused, right?!" The police officer attacked him.
"I didn't mean to...he wasn't even mine, I swear! I was looking after him for someone and-"
The scientist stood next to the Zorua. He produced a large white piece of equipment with a scanner attached to it as a needle appeared on the end. He stuck it into Zorua's weak body and produced loud ringing readings. "Interesting." The scientist commented. "This Pokemon is no ordinary Pokemon. It has been experimented on in some way and been injected with...or more accurately, its DNA has been tampered with. Someone created this in a lab!" He turned towards Stanley.
"I swear, I don't know who did this! I was given this by another person..."
"Who, exactly?" Another police officer butted in.
"Er...Um..." Stanley stumbled for words. "Ace! His name was Ace!" Layla walked back a little hearing those words but said nothing.
"Ace?" One police officer thought he heard the name before. "Which way did he go?"
"I last saw him in Saffron City. One of the buildings next to the Grand Ditto Hotel."
With that, the police officers thanked him before deciding to run in a straight line towards Saffron in the west. "Keep this guy here. We need to study him." The scientist said but did nothing to stop Stanley as he followed the police officers.
