Pokemon World Championships (feel free to join no need to ask)

[Frontier Master]

(This rp is about the pokemon world championship each trainer needs to choose a region to be from and this region should reflect in your team (as long as your team are all available in that region its fine) and if you wish to join later just right a paragraph about wiping the floor with a newbie trainer from the anime like say Max (May's little brother) and if you do end up losing to someone you can always rejoin the tournament if you can beat someone still in it)


"Oh and now its down to the last two Pokemon
A fearless Salamence for Team Hoenn and A mighty Mamoswine for team Sinnoh
who will win this heated battle" yelled the commentator clearly overly exaggerating his own excitement no one should be that excited about a first round Pokemon battle between a school student and a rising child star.

"Salamence use Fire blast" yelled the Hoenn trainer
"Ancient power Mamoswine" replied the Sinnoh trainer

Both attacks flew at unbelievable speed toward there targets and both hit at the same moment a huge explosion of smoke and sand surrounds both Pokemon
CRASH ... CRASH
As the smoke clear both Pokemon lay fainted on the field.

"Oh and it's a tie this nail biting battle has resulted in a tie. Now according to Global Pokemon league rules in the event of a tie both trainers will advance to the next round of the competition."

Up next is Jake from Kalos and Hugh from Unova, wait whats that Hugh has had to withdraw from the tournament due to personal reasons apparently his sisters purloin was stolen again!"

So the trainer who will be facing Jake is...

 

[Trucro]

"...Jacob from Unova!"

Jacob stepped forward. It was his turn to represent Unova in the championship. He had known Hugh, but Jacob had never been a fan. He tried to calm himself as he walked into the stadium. Jacob knew he was a good trainer, but he never did well under pressure, or in front of a lot of people. He took a deep breath. He just had to relax. He had made it this far; the team would not have allowed him to compete if he wasn’t skilled enough. He reached for a pokeball, and released it. In a flash of blue, Jacob’s Excadrill, Zed appeared in the center of the stadium. Zed looked back at Jacob and nodded.

 

[Frontier Master]

Jake smiled to himself and entered something into his wrist-mounted poke-scanner, seconds later a shining luxury ball popped out of the top of Jake's backpack
"Kangaskan your up!" Yelled jake as he threw the luxury ball and with a flash of gold the big strong normal type appeared.

"Ok ladies and gentlemen, welcome to this first round match between Jake from Kalos and Jacob from Unova. Both trainers have sent out their first Pokemon Exadrill for Jacob and Kangaskan for Jake!!" Said the commentator again over exaggerating his excitement, who even talks like that anyway.

 

[Trucro]

Jacob smiled. This would be a good match. But a Kanhaskan?!? Jacob had heard of this pokemon, but he had never seen one in real life. He had always wanted one; in fact, he begged his parents to take him to Kanto as a child, in large part so he could find, and capture a Kanhgaskan. Apparently, they could also be found in Kalos.

"Zed(Excadrill), use Drill Run!" Zed nodded at Jacob before turning towards the battle. He leapt into the air, bringing his arms and legs close into his bode and forming one large drill, which shot towards Kanhgaskan at a great speed. Jacob always liked using this move. It was not a move that only an Excadrill could learn, but in this form, it was unique to Excadrill. Jacob hoped it would throw his opponent off guard.

 

[Frontier Master]

Jake smiled with an evil look in his eye
"Kangaskan I think it's time we kicked it up a notch it's time to mega evolve!" light shot from a bracelet on kangaskan's wrist and from jake's pokescanner and soon enveloped the two then as the light faded kangaskan looked the same except it's baby had grow and now stood next to it's mother
"Now use fake out to stop the attack then use power up punch and aim for its chest"
(now fake out was normally used before an attack is launched but Jake and mega kanga. Had found away to use it to stop attacks dead in their tracks)
The big bulky normal type readied itself, fists ready to fly, the first knock out was in sight.

 

[Dakota's Jinx]

Dakota watched the different fights from a screen. She was representing Johto but wasn't battling yet. She ran her finger tips over her pokeballs that was on her waist. Her name was then called, she was going against a Kanto representer. She felt a grin form on her lips as she traveled to the battle arena.

"Tyranitar, use Hyper Beam." Dakota ordered blankly. Her large pokemon roared his response and let out the beam, taking out the opponents Arbok. Second pokemon fainted, she thought. Her Tyranitar already took out her opponents Golem. The red-haired trainer didn't keep her guard down though. She felt like this trainer had something up their sleeve.

 

[Trucro]

Kanghaskan had stopped Zed(Excadrill)'s attack dead on. But the pokemon quickly raised her other fist, and, with it glowing, struck forward. Zed did not release himself from attack formation, so his torso, face, arms and legs were pretty well protected, but the hit sent Zed flying backwards, skidding across the ground and then rolling to a stop as the pokemon ended his attack. Zed slowly stood.

"Alright, Zed, use sandstorm!" The Excadrill nodded, before slamming his claws into the ground, and ripping up a torrent of sand that quickly took over the field. "That should do it," Jacob muttered to himself. He needed to take back the advantage, and this was a good way to do it.

 

[Frontier Master]

"Kangaskan we trained for this, don't try to fight the sandstorm use it to your advantage, now use power up punch" the two normal type Pokemon both took a deep breathe then sprang into action, both running at the excadrill -whose drills were still in the sand- with amazing speed fist glowing with power

 

[Dakota's Jinx]

"Nidoking!" Dakota's opponent cried out as he tossed the pokeball up in the air. The large, purple pokemon emerged and glared at Tyranitar. Dakota rubbed the back of her neck and eyed the pokemon before shrugging. "Stone Edge."

Tyranitar attacked, hitting the Kanto pokemon with multiple stones, but it didn't seem to phase Nidoking much. "Nidoking, use Sludge Bomb!" The red-haired trainer had to keep herself from cringing. She hated it when her pokemon got poisoned. Tyranitar took on the attack like a champ but he was poisoned.

"Dark Pulse," she muttered. Tyranitar roared and let a dark ring form around him, before sending it off to attack. It hit the purple pokemon who stumbled back a bit. "Use Ice Beam Nidoking!" Dakota sighed, "Block it with Hyper Beam."

The two pokemon sent out the beams, them crashing at each other. Now, battling to see who is stronger. The Ice Beam was, it hit Tyranitar hard, sending the large pokemon back. He lost most of his health, along with some being taken away because of being poisoned. Dakota grumbled and bit her lip. "Ice Fang,"

Tyranitar got himself up but was too slow. The opponent already told Nidoking to use Double Kick, which the Kanto pokemon was faster. He kicked Dakota's pokemon twice, nearly making him unconscious. But the poison took care of that for Nidoking. Dakota returned her large pokemon, whispering to the pokeball. Saying how good he did. She then looked at the Nidoking who had a sly smirk on his face. Dakota took a ball from her belt and threw it up. "Azumarill!"

The blue pokemon landed on her feet. "Azu!" She chirped. "Nidoking, Double Kick again!" Dakota put her hands in her leather jacket's pockets'. "Aqua Tail," Dakota stated flatly, still biting her lip. Her water pokemon complied and leaped in the air, blocking both of the kicks with her watery attack. "Now use Water Gun." Dakota murmured quickly. Just as quick Azumarill opened her mouth and shot the water out, hitting Nidoking and sending him back.

"Nidoking get up! Use Ice Beam!" Nidoking pushed himself to his feet, his health gone down to half now. He opened his mouth and shot of the beam. "Hydro Pump," Dakota sang. "Azu!" Azumarill chirped before blocking the Ice Beam with the pump and actually pushing past it and hitting Nidoking, who now was low on health. "Let's finish this up with Bubble Beam, shall we?" Azumarill smiled sweetly before sending a fury of bubbles at Nidoking, causing a explosion on the Kanto pokemon's body. Knocking him out. "And the winner of this battle is, Dakota!"

 

[Trucro]

Jacob smiled. This was perfect; the sandstorm powered up Zed(Excadrill)'s speed due to his sand rush ability; he'd be notably faster than before.

"Dodge and then use slash!" Jacob commanded. With great speed, Zed waited for the Kangaskhan to to be close before ducking to the side, dodging both attacks and placing the mother Kangaskhan in between Zed and her baby. Zed's claws began to glow as he brought it across, striking at the mother Kangaskhan.

 

[Frontier Master]

"Kangaskan block with sucker punch" both the mother and child pounced and brought their glowing fists right into excadrills chest "now while he's open power up punch

((OOC: just for the records that sucker punch block is possible, sucker punch always goes before an attacking move like slash and using offensive moves in a defensive way is what Pokemon strategists do all the time

 

[Trucro]

Jacob was worried when Zed(Excadrill) was hit again, but before the Kangaskhan could attack again, they were buffeted by the sandstorm. This gave Zed enough time for a counter attack.

"Zed, use Earthquake!" Zed slammed his claws on the ground, creating waves sent off in every direction.

 

[Frontier Master]

"Kangaskan this is just like that time in hippodown temple if ur hit by those its basicly all over" jake shouted he had nothing to counter an earthquake, if only he could get in close enough without fail 'that's it of course' jake thought to himself
"Kangaskan aerial ace!!!" The normal types sprang into action running with amazing speed toward excadrill -using the flying type move to become unaffected by the huge earth waves- both attacks slammed into the ground steel type with perfect aim

 

[Trucro]

Zed(Excadrill) was hit again, and fell to the ground. These pokemon were damn near invincible! They seemed to be able to counter every move, as well as act faster than Zed even though he was powered up. Furthermore, they could fly! He didn't know Kangaskhan were capable of learning a move that allowed them to fly! Jacob shook his head as Zed rose to his feet; he couldn't see an avenue where he could win this battle. As the sandstorm raged, Jacob gave his next command.

"Zed, use dig!" In a flash, the Excadrill disappeared beneath the ground, out of sight.

 

[Frontier Master]

"Wait for excadrill to pop up and use power up punch!" Jake yelled at his Pokemon
Soon the bulky normal types should with glowing fists waiting for a sigh of where excadrill was going to appear

 

[Trucro]

Zed(Excadrill) leapt from the ground just beneath Kangaskhan's feet. As the ground fell away, Jacob hoped the Kangaskhan would fall, only to be hit by Zed's strike. He waited, to see what happened, although he already knew Zed's next move.

 

[Frontier Master]

"Kangaskan be careful not to fall into that trap. wait for excadrill to leap out of the ground then use power up punch with everything you've got!" Jake yelled as he saw excadrill leap from a hole at kangaskans feet, the bulky normal types stepped back and got into a good fighting stance
