This is a roleplay hosted by myself, @Jake Acker , @Hisseki ,and @The Ringmaster . This RP takes place in the world of RWBY. However, it is an alternate universe where some of the events of RWBY never happen. Beacon never fell, and the Fall Maiden is still in Cyrostasis. You are a student attending beacon for your first year.
Rules:
1. You must have basic knowledge of RWBY. This means you have atleast seen the first season.
2. No one liners. You should be able to atleast write a paragraph, meaning 4-5 sentences.
3. Be active. This roleplay is designed around two teams and if one person takes a long break, it won't function.

Name: Drake Lloyd
Gender: Male.

Emblem: A pair of white fangs containing an orange fireball. The whole thing is normally encircled in a circle of black that highlights the colours.
Outfit Desc: A black high collared coat is worn over almost everything worn. A grey shirt is worn beneath it, a white insignia consisting of a set of fang with a fireball in its mouth right in the centre of the chest area. Dark grey combat trousers with two plates of armour on the knees defend the legs, with black combat boots completing the outfit. The shoulders of the coat have large layered V shaped bits of metal running down to the elbow for defence.
Physical Appearance: Fairly tall and well-built with a mess of dark brown hair. The boy certainly has a lot more strength than he looks like he would possess, but that’s not to say he doesn’t look particularly strong. Drake's eyes are brown until his semblance is activated at which point they become a striking golden colour. A small scar stretches from the corner of his mouth giving him the look of somebody always smirking, in the most eerie of ways that is, theres nothing too friendly about a smile that isn’t real. He has white skin that sometimes looks a little darker than it should due to the ash his weapon can cause. Drake is a pretty good looking fellow, but not so much so that it becomes one of his defining features.
Personality: Drake is….well, a little fiery. Renowned for the way the way his anger can flare up at any moment, as well as his generally boisterous personality, Drake is not a difficult person to get along till he is angered. Loyalty to his friends, a sense of humour and undiminishing confidence makes him a good people person when he needs to be. Afraid of pretty much nothing other than heights, Drakes lack of fear gets him into trouble more often than it helps him out, often starting fights he really can’t win.
Years with his insanely stern Grandfather have left him with a reluctance to follow orders from adults, but he isn’t dumb enough to let this get in the way of his day to day life, and even less likely to let it stop him from pursuing a career as a huntsman. Drake is very protective of what little family he has left, so mess with them and be prepared for the consequences.
Backstory: Drake Lloyd was born and raised in vale but far from the normal towns and cities. His family lived out in a fairly remote forest by themselves, primarily living off the land and occasionally visiting the closest village for the rarer things they would need around the house, as well as weapon parts. Life was peaceful, Drake and his sister grew up in a beautiful environment that was rich with areas to explore and things to occupy children. Knox would help his Father sometimes whilst farming, but was equally happy to do the housework with his Mother.
However everything changed the day that whilst the family were sitting in the log cabin they called home, and a huge beowolf burst through the door. Drake, merely a child ( at the time just fell out of his mother’s arms and scrambled across the floor away from the beast as it quickly went about killing his mother before his very eyes. As Knox looked on in terror a new feeling began to rise within him. Rage. His semblance was activated for the first time and this allowed the small child to blast a volley of flames from his mouth, setting the beowolf alight as it ran, still burning, from the cabin. Drake's little sister, Lumous, had survived the attack as she had been asleep in her room at the time, completely unaware to the horrors that she had slept through. His father was nowhere to be found and it was assumed he too had been killed. Grimm had never been seen in those woods before but it clearly wasn't safe there any longer. Drake and his little sister moved to his grandfather’s house were the old man taught both of them how to fight after they showed interest in becoming hunters. When his training with his Grandfather was complete Drake attended signal. From there he applied to beacon.
Weapon name: The Sun Bringers.
Weapon Desc: The Sun Bringers are a pair of black gauntlets stylised to look like dragon heads that cover all of the wielders hands and are heavily armour plated at the top and knuckles. Where each knuckle is on the hand a small hooked nub of metal shaped like a backwards claw protrudes from the gauntlets. These metal hooks have a hole on the side facing away from the user that can shoot fire. Streams of fire can be used as a close range weapon or fire balls can be formed for long range attacks. This leads to scorching punches and punishing ranged attacks. The gauntlet in concealed within a bulky watch on the right arm and a simple thick metal wristband on the other. When the gauntlet extends armoured metal covers up to the users elbow. This metal armour has slots that may slide back and reveal exhausts from which heat and smoke is vented. These gauntlets are powered by Drake's semblance and will increase their flame output the more Drake's semblance is forced to activate.
Semblance name: Draconic soul.
Semblance Desc: Drake's skin can become covered in dark grey scales that are much tougher than normal skin and have the ability to absorb flames into Knox's body, giving him a power boost. This semblance gives Drake the ability to breathe fire but the flames he spits are pretty weak unless he has had the chance to absorb another source of flames. (Drake cannot absorb his own flames or those that come from Sun bringer.)

Hometown: The closest village was called Marville, however the area he originally lived in was nicknamed The Grove.

Strengths: Close quarter combat, high endurance, immunity to fire and heat, an almost complete lack of fear.
Weaknesses: Very headstrong, ranged combat doesn’t suit Drake particularly well, angered much too quickly, something that has been known to cloud his judgement somewhat. His only fear, heights is a serious problem for the boy.
Likes: Fire, his family, brawling, has an odd fondness for knitting, antagonising shy people by purposefully ignoring shyness and is a bit of a glutton. Despite of the amount of food he can eat Drake never seems to put on weight.
Dislikes: Heights, bullies, the cold, and being bossed around.

Name: Lyme Cross
Gender: Male.
Race: Spider Faunas
Height: 5 ft 5 inches
Emblem: A small circle with serrated edges. Inside are 6 dark red circles, which surround two white ovals.
Outfit Desc: Lyme's outfit is rather simple. Combat boots are worn below camouflage cargo pants. He wears a bright green hoodie with his emblem on the back. He has a pack on both sides of his legs for his twin chakram. His outfit doesn't have any armor, as it is meant for fast-paced movement and combat. Therefor, he doesn't like to have ant clunky gear and like it simplistic.
Physical Appearance: Quite short for his age. Pale-skinned and completely unmuscular. This means he lacks upper-body strength, but his legs are built for running. His deep silver hair is unkept, but it's short to prevent it getting into his many eyes. On the topic of that, being a faunas, he has features of a spider. His face has 6 dark red eyes arranged in a half circle pattern above his normal eyes, which are a nice green.
Personality: Lyme is very laid back. However, he's not one for not accepting to help somebody. Infact, helping others is what drives him. He might need some motivation to get out of whatever video game or book his mind is buried into at the moment, but when he's up, he's up. He normally just does whatever's told of him. Hard to get riled up about really anything.
In battle, he's entirely different. He's always moving, but will still take back when told to do so. Not a leader at all. He's either slashing whatever in the face or hiding and still slashing whatever in the face.
Backstory: Honestly, his life was relatively normal. He grew in in the city of Vale with his father. He never met his mother, but that didn't hold him back. Most of his time was spent in the commercial district, chatting up with shopkeeps and watching boats come into the docks.
When he got accepted into Signal, he quickly got there and studied hard to be accepted into Beacon. However out of character this may be for him, getting into Beacon Academy was his best shot at becoming a hunter. Here, he forged his weapons. When he finally got the letter, he was so excited that his father nearly passed out. (Sorry this was short. I couldn't think of anything too long for somebody who literally just lived in Vale or another major city like most normal humans/ faunus in the RWBYverse.)
Weapon name: 'Darkness' and 'Karma'
Weapon Desc: Darkness and Karma are twin Chakram, a disc-type weapon with a hallowed out inside. The two are completely identical. They have a inside made of lightweight steel, with dark iron serrated edges. Along with this are small gemstones lining the inside of the disc. There are twelve in all, consisting of: Jasper, Sapphire, Agate, Emerald,Onyx, Carnelian, Chrysolite, Beryl, Topaz, Chrysoprase, Jacinth, and Amethyst. These stones are, from Revelation 21, placed on the gates of heaven. He only uses this when needed, but inside Karma is Burn Dust and Darkness is Lighting Dust.
Semblance name: Shadow Hand
Semblance Desc: Pretty simple: Lyme can project shadowy hands that are completely tangible, but separated from his body. He mainly uses this to retrieve or attack using his chakram while he is running or perched somewhere.

Strengths: Very fast and skilled at all things requiring leg strength. Not dull in the least, but not the best strategist. His extra eyes let him be extremely focused at longed range.

Height: 5 feet even
Emblem: A blank white bat head with oversized ears and a purple heart shaped nose, along with a cartoony purple bat wing on either side. The background is an upside down dark grey heart.
Outfit Desc: probably the plainest thing you’ll ever see. Tight fitting black tank top and leggings. Both articles of clothing have a thin purple stripe on the sides. Her emblem is nice and large across her back. She wears white boots that reach her knees, they appear to come in three pieces: Diamond shaped plate over the knee, armor like for the full leg, and then the part covering her foot appears completely separate. She also has three large purple claws attached to her toes, cliche I know but they help with her balance. Also a black ballcap with a purple visor, usually worn foreword.
Physical Appearance: She has albinism, so she has the deathly white skin and hair. Her hair is pulled into a heavily braided ponytail reaching just barely at her lower back. No one knows when and how, but she had dyed the tips of her bangs purple along with the end of her ponytail gradually gaining a purple gradient towards the end. Her eyes are pale, dull, and used to be lavender, and have strange scars over them as if they had been clawed.
Personality: Somewhat cold and cut off, due to past experiences, however she is capable of warming up to certain people. Be careful though, when she warms up things known as ‘personal space’ are a foreign concept. While not cruel towards strangers, or shy either, she usually either ignores you or makes snide remarks. She is capable of forgiving and giving out second chances to those she deems favorable. Even then, she never steps towards violence, no matter how much she hates someone. Warning, she tends to give platonic kisses on the cheek, just go along with it and don’t let her know it bothers you under ANY circumstance, her efforts will merely double.
Backstory: She had a decent childhood. Both her parents had decent jobs, she had a decent home, went to a decent school, and had an all in all decent life. She grew up bullied every now and then having to wear the ridiculous thick rimmed glasses that never seemed to fit and terrible kid jumpers, but hey she was happy. She did have a somewhat snarky attitude when she was younger, but it all changed when out of nowhere a Beowolf rampaged through her home. Being a stupid child with her head filled with stories of hunters and huntresses, she got caught in the line of fire, resulting in permanent blindness. Her parents constantly babied her, the bullying got worse, and she eventually stopped talking since no one listened to her opinion. Her semblance was activated one day as she decided she wanted to try running. Instead of gaping in amazement as she ran with ease through close quarters, her parents scolded her and attempted to confine her. Eventually she managed to get research done and realized she had been subconsciously using her semblance for a few months. Since that moment, she went through all lengths and measures to convince and prove she could be a huntress. It wasn’t until a professor from Signal took notice of her remarkably developed semblance that her parents finally gave way. Unfortunately, they closely monitor Indigo, and she knows the minute they don’t like something they would take her back home. Indigo firmly believes now more than ever she must prove herself irreplaceable so even her parents can’t conjure up some excuse to bring her back.
Weapon Name: Stick of Doom
Weapon Desc: Normally, it looks like an ordinary, shiny silver, metal baton with an led version of her emblem in the center. It hangs horizontally across her lower back. But this thing extends like no tomorrow! Joking. It can extend around 15 feet, what reason? No one knows. But this thing also becomes an extendable spear, or a double headed spear, or it can be split into two pieces and still have the spear heads. Not to mention it also doubles up as a badass blow gun shooting dust infused darts of doom. She mainly uses a rather strange combination of dusts that give her her main dart:
A combination of three crystals, resulting in the dart giving off a high pitched sound only she can detect thanks to her semblance, used mainly for tracking by tagging targets, or she places them in key areas so she can see an area without needing to exhaust her semblance.
She also, just for the sake of firepower, added a sniper. All her ammo is stored in an airtight secret compartment located in the back part of the leg section of her boots. Now you know why it looks a tiny bit clunky.
Semblance Name: Echolocation
Semblance Desc: Pretty self-explanatory. If you stand next to her and strain your ears and suddenly hear a strange chirping noise, don’t worry you aren’t mad. It’s just Indigo. Her voice is usually scratchy and it isn’t uncommon to see her drinking tea. With honey. And sugar. Lots of sugar.

Strengths: Despite being blind she is hyper aware of her surroundings, nearly impossible to sneak up on her, pretty good awareness of her limits, very determined, very strong at long range, very quick to move and hit, can move easily in noisy places even if they are crowded
Weaknesses: don’t tell her she can’t do something she will do it, stubborn, can be a bit quick to judge or rile up, completely useless melee style even with her spears, useless with close quarter defense, constantly uses her semblance resulting in the inability to talk at certain times, constant use of her semblance means sometimes she needs to stop and rest which means she does go blind especially in quiet rooms

Emblem: The shattered moon of Remnant imprinted on the front of his chest plate.
Outfit: Black sandals, black cargo trousers, a hooded black tunic the hood is often kept up, clawed hand braces stretching up to his forearms, light padded armour on chest and back, a small light weapons utility belt around his waist holding spare magazines.
Appearance: Well kept dark brown hair in a short military style, pale skin, a small cut like scar on the left cheek which he acquired from Drake as a child, vivid green eyes, wiry build, hands calloused from all the climbing he has done, numerous scars on torso, proportionate arms and legs.
Personality: Irritating, enjoys tormenting others, all round arsehole, however he is loyal and secretly cares about his friends as they are all he really has.
Backstory: Born into poverty with a pair of thieves for parents, Shadow was often blamed for their current predicament and badly beaten as a result. When Shadow was 8 a particularly harsh winter made his parents fall ill, the two of them quickly succumbing to hypothermia and hunger and passed away. Forced now to find his own way in the world he quickly tried to make use of the skills he had picked up on whilst watching his parents, but seeming as they had never trained him he was often caught and received a beating and other harsh brutal consequences. One fateful day Shadow successfully managed to steal an entire pouch of money from an elderly man, his joy was short lived however as he was struck to the side of the face by a tightly clenched fist, immediately splitting open his cheek, and knocking him to the ground. The young boy with the older man, probably his grandson, had seen what had happened and swiftly decided to take action himself. After a good 5 minute beating the stern looking old man finally ordered his grandson to stop, taking a step forward to examine his would be thief. What followed was a through interrogation in which the old man learned off Shadows misfortune and current predicament.
Much to the dismay of the grandson the elderly man offered to take care of Shadow in exchange for him doing gruelling work for him around the farm in exchange for a bed and three meals a day. Eagerly excepting the offer the young boy found himself living a life which to him felt like utter luxury. It turned out the stony faced man who had taken him in was an ex hunter named Ash Lloyd, who lived with his two grandchildren Drake and Lumous. Upon seeing that both Drake and Lumous were receiving training he tentatively asked if he could do the same, even offering to put in extra hours around the farm if he would be allowed. The old man accepted, adapting what he knew to suit Shadows particular skills. During combat training he grew closer to the two other children, eventually finding a place among them as a friend. When his training was completed he joined Drake at Signal, and is now graduating to Beacon.
Weapon name: Silentium Mortem (Silent Death).
Weapons disc: A pair of black, silenced Uzis that possess bladed magazines that can be fired via a simple press of a button ballistic knife style, however it does possess a quick release mechanism, in which the dagger like magazines can be used for melee styled combat. Shadow also carries various dust infused magazines that he employs into his techniques for various different circumstances.
Semblance name: Umbra Forma (Shadow Form).
Semblance disc: Shadow can literally become a shadow at will, something he uses to increase his ninja like abilities. Whilst in this form he is invulnerable to most forms of damage but can’t actually attack back, leaving him weakest when actually using his semblance.
Transfer school: Signal
Strengths: Stealth, avoiding damage, CQC, hates giving up on something he has already begun and able to keep his cool under pressure. Also used to being hungry and cold.
Weakness: Very, very irritating, often doesn’t know where to draw the line when it comes to messing people, struggles against thick armoured foes and is a glass cannon. Hates being alone.
Likes: Spaghetti hoops, being an arsehole, fighting the more badass grimm, the few friends he had and his pet gecko Alphonso.
Dislikes: Being alone, the cold, rich people, those who act like they are better than him, losing and brussel sprouts.

Name: Esmeralda Parsia Nymphatica (Mari)
Gender: Female
Race: Faunas (Peafowl)
Height: 5"6
Emblem: A woven tiara composed of, Hibiscus, Dahlia, and Orchids. Each flower is displayed prominently at the front and their Stems are woven into the remaining parts of the tiara.
Outfit Desc: Esmeralda wears a teal-green 1 piece dress that ends at her knees, it is purely teal with no additional colors or images but has a loophole on either side. Above her dress she sports a large Emerald shawl, which is primarily plain but flourishes with a pattern of peacock feathers towards the end. The shawl has a split running from half way point to the flourished end. The shawl hangs loosely around her shoulders and is secured by a flowing ribbon which loops through the loopholes in her dress. The ends of the ribbon are wrapped around her arms and end in small golden rings which are placed over her third digits. Lastly she wears a Jade-colored veil over her face obscuring her appearance.
Physical Appearance: Esmeralda’s most distinguishing trait would be her long wavy hair. Her hair is cyan but contains numerous feathers within it that create iridescent eye-spots in her hair. Her eyes are a calming shade of turquoise that is only slightly darker than her hair. She is lithe, light-weight, and extremely flexible preferring to use her grace and agility over strength.
Personality: Esmeralda is a delicate beauty, who carries herself in a lofty manner. She is prideful and conducts herself with a near impeccable poshiness, though she does mess up sometimes. Though she is beautiful her pride causes her to believe she is an unmatched, peerless beauty and hence she wears a veil to conceal her ‘paradisiac features’.
Backstory: Esmeralda was born to a pair of faunas who lived within the borders of Mistral, where she was grown. They lived a relatively comfortable life and Esmeralda was able to peacefully attend school at Haven before transferring to Beacon.
Weapon name: Eleganza Tempesta
Weapon Desc: The Eleganza Tempesta consists of two light-weight aluminum Fans with sharpened edges. The fans are highly durable and are capable of being used to deflect strikes or attack by slashing with its edges. Eleganza tempesta can be utilized with dust to create various special effects.
Semblance name: Impulse Drive
Semblance Desc: Impulse Drive allows Esmeralda to increase her reaction speed, and perception for short periods of time. It is usually used in short bursts.

Strengths: She’s skilled at Eleganza Tempesta using to deflect attacks aimed at her, and has adopted a defensive style of redirecting attacks.
Weaknesses: She’s very lacking in the strength department and can easily be overpowered in a direct clash. Her semblance places a large degree of strain on her body, and prolonged use will have severe side-effects.

Name: Holly Winter
[Holly – Diminutive of Indian colour festival, Holi; often a symbol of Christmas (the time period the fairy tale in which she is based takes place), Winter – Connotative to the colour white; again, Christmas]
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Height: 5’4
Emblem: Two hands held out while the left poises a lit candle. An infinity sign encloses them like handcuffs. The emblem is completely white, surrounded by a navy-blue rhombus.
Outfit Description: Sports a long and open-sleeved, shirtwaist dress whose top is a Prussian blue and whose bottom is a calming and more joyous shade. The ends of her sleeves and hemming are in tatters due to her clumsiness and reluctance to throw out her clothes until she proclaims them unwearable. She wears a white and frilly apron around her waist and a smooth, crimson neckerchief with an added hood over her shoulders. She often goes barefoot, as she prefers the grounded feeling it provides.
Physical Appearance: A striking curtain of golden hair falls a quarter of the way down her back, ending in accented curls. Her eyes are wide, innocent, and baby blue and her skin is the colour of porcelain. She has pianist’s hands and a gymnast’s body, and so wielding weapons is quite a struggle for her.
Personality: Gluttonous in the sense of her strong urge to stockpile for possible impending disasters. She’s a sentimentalist and often dotes on her past for longer than need be. She impulsively comes up with multiple outcomes to each situation in order to prevent the negative ones. Despite these quirks, she really does try her best to be pleasant to others overall (Albeit painfully shy). She always finds the quickest and easiest way to solve a problem with minimal difficulty, which is especially helpful on the battlefield. Her conscience sometimes gets the better of her when dueling against her fellowmen, which causes her to come off as spineless or weak. She’ll refuse to fight if she knows she can’t win. Although emotional, she’s hardly ever passionate over anything other than preventing calamity.
Backstory: Holly comes from a family of crime. Her parents were both commonplace thieves who were widely known for their robbery of franchise who supported faunus rights. Needless to say, they were hardly responsible for taking care of their daughter, leaving her under the aid of her maternal grandmother whom was clueless as to her mother and father’s heinous deeds. It was not until both were arrested some years after their first robbery that Holly was attested to and separated from her beloved grandmother to be put into foster care.
When she was integrated into a much less rambunctious family, she and her adoptive parents put in their best efforts to come in contact with her grandmother, only to find that she had passed away. It was then that Holly solemnly swore she would never let tragedy happen as long as she could stop it from happening, convinced that if she had stayed with her grandmother she wouldn’t have died.
Weapon name: Illuminator
Weapon Description: A brass staff reminiscent of a lengthened candlestick. On either side of the weapon, omnipresent candles of which never melt or become misshapen from use rest. When the word “Illuminate” is spoken in a clear and confident voice, blue flames flicker from the end of each candle’s wick. Illuminator can be used to bludgeon or jab at one’s opponents, though is more practical for propelling small bursts of blue flame.
Semblance Name: Smoke and Mirrors
Semblance Description: She can create illusions using smoke. However, these illusions will abolish the moment the victim realizes they are fake.

Strengths: Resolution, peacekeeping, analyzation, studies. She is incredibly durable and flexible, making her as fickle as sand and hard to defend from.
Weaknesses: Physical combat, determination, confidence. She often gets lost in her own insecurities and doubts, dampening her overall performance (martial or not).

Outfit Desc: She usually wears a black sort-of robe over her plain, dark blue t-shirt, and light grey sweatpants that almost completely covers her boots, which she calls slippers, since they are as comfortable as them. Also, around her neck sits a ribbon that is the same color as her shirt, and her eyes are normally hidden by a pair of dark sunglasses. Her clothes aren't the neatest, be it thanks to an accidental spill or she just didn't feel like ironing them, but whenever they're really bad, they get covered by her robe.
Physical Appearance: Bress is a very short girl with little to no fat on her body due to all the climbing and swinging she does almost all the time. Her skin is a caramel brown, darker then her dirty-blond hair, which stretches down to just below her shoulders. At the top of her head are two white, fluffy, pointed ears, filled with a cinnamon color. Umber brown eyes, which are rarely ever seen, rather pointed teeth, and freckles that dust her cheeks also make up her appearance.

Weapon Name: Flora and Fauna
Weapon Desc: Flora's a bow Bress made herself out of an elm tree. It's extremely smooth and can shoot up to 45 feet away. The string on Flora is linen. Fauna are the arrows Bress also crafted, but they're snakewood, so they are very sharp and rarely ever dull. Even their feathers are wood, albeit much thinner wood.
Semblance Name: Extensions
Semblance Desc: This does nothing more than extend Bress's nails out into red panda-esque claws, allowing her grip on climbing surfaces (like trees) to grow much greater and make it tougher for opponents to shake her off.

Emblem: A pair of white fangs containing an orange fireball. The whole thing is normally encircled in a circle of black that highlights the colours.
Outfit Desc: A black high collared coat is worn over almost everything worn. A grey shirt is worn beneath it, a white insignia consisting of a set of fang with a fireball in its mouth right in the centre of the chest area. Dark grey combat trousers with two plates of armour on the knees defend the legs, with black combat boots completing the outfit. The shoulders of the coat have large layered V shaped bits of metal running down to the elbow for defence.
Physical Appearance: Fairly tall and well-built with a mess of dark brown hair. The boy certainly has a lot more strength than he looks like he would possess, but that’s not to say he doesn’t look particularly strong. Drake's eyes are brown until his semblance is activated at which point they become a striking golden colour. A small scar stretches from the corner of his mouth giving him the look of somebody always smirking, in the most eerie of ways that is, theres nothing too friendly about a smile that isn’t real. He has white skin that sometimes looks a little darker than it should due to the ash his weapon can cause. Drake is a pretty good looking fellow, but not so much so that it becomes one of his defining features.
Personality: Drake is….well, a little fiery. Renowned for the way the way his anger can flare up at any moment, as well as his generally boisterous personality, Drake is not a difficult person to get along till he is angered. Loyalty to his friends, a sense of humour and undiminishing confidence makes him a good people person when he needs to be. Afraid of pretty much nothing other than heights, Drakes lack of fear gets him into trouble more often than it helps him out, often starting fights he really can’t win.
Years with his insanely stern Grandfather have left him with a reluctance to follow orders from adults, but he isn’t dumb enough to let this get in the way of his day to day life, and even less likely to let it stop him from pursuing a career as a huntsman. Drake is very protective of what little family he has left, so mess with them and be prepared for the consequences.
Backstory: Drake Lloyd was born and raised in vale but far from the normal towns and cities. His family lived out in a fairly remote forest by themselves, primarily living off the land and occasionally visiting the closest village for the rarer things they would need around the house, as well as weapon parts. Life was peaceful, Drake and his sister grew up in a beautiful environment that was rich with areas to explore and things to occupy children. Knox would help his Father sometimes whilst farming, but was equally happy to do the housework with his Mother.
However everything changed the day that whilst the family were sitting in the log cabin they called home, and a huge beowolf burst through the door. Drake, merely a child ( at the time just fell out of his mother’s arms and scrambled across the floor away from the beast as it quickly went about killing his mother before his very eyes. As Knox looked on in terror a new feeling began to rise within him. Rage. His semblance was activated for the first time and this allowed the small child to blast a volley of flames from his mouth, setting the beowolf alight as it ran, still burning, from the cabin. Drake's little sister, Lumous, had survived the attack as she had been asleep in her room at the time, completely unaware to the horrors that she had slept through. His father was nowhere to be found and it was assumed he too had been killed. Grimm had never been seen in those woods before but it clearly wasn't safe there any longer. Drake and his little sister moved to his grandfather’s house were the old man taught both of them how to fight after they showed interest in becoming hunters. When his training with his Grandfather was complete Drake attended signal. From there he applied to beacon.
Weapon name: The Sun Bringers.
Weapon Desc: The Sun Bringers are a pair of black gauntlets stylised to look like dragon heads that cover all of the wielders hands and are heavily armour plated at the top and knuckles. Where each knuckle is on the hand a small hooked nub of metal shaped like a backwards claw protrudes from the gauntlets. These metal hooks have a hole on the side facing away from the user that can shoot fire. Streams of fire can be used as a close range weapon or fire balls can be formed for long range attacks. This leads to scorching punches and punishing ranged attacks. The gauntlet in concealed within a bulky watch on the right arm and a simple thick metal wristband on the other. When the gauntlet extends armoured metal covers up to the users elbow. This metal armour has slots that may slide back and reveal exhausts from which heat and smoke is vented. These gauntlets are powered by Drake's semblance and will increase their flame output the more Drake's semblance is forced to activate.
Semblance name: Draconic soul.
Semblance Desc: Drake's skin can become covered in dark grey scales that are much tougher than normal skin and have the ability to absorb flames into Knox's body, giving him a power boost. This semblance gives Drake the ability to breathe fire but the flames he spits are pretty weak unless he has had the chance to absorb another source of flames. (Drake cannot absorb his own flames or those that come from Sun bringer.)

Strengths: Close quarter combat, high endurance, immunity to fire and heat, an almost complete lack of fear.
Weaknesses: Very headstrong, ranged combat doesn’t suit Drake particularly well, angered much too quickly, something that has been known to cloud his judgement somewhat. His only fear, heights is a serious problem for the boy.
Likes: Fire, his family, brawling, has an odd fondness for knitting, antagonising shy people by purposefully ignoring shyness and is a bit of a glutton. Despite of the amount of food he can eat Drake never seems to put on weight.

Emblem: A small circle with serrated edges. Inside are 6 dark red circles, which surround two white ovals.
Outfit Desc: Lyme's outfit is rather simple. Combat boots are worn below camouflage cargo pants. He wears a bright green hoodie with his emblem on the back. He has a pack on both sides of his legs for his twin chakram. His outfit doesn't have any armor, as it is meant for fast-paced movement and combat. Therefor, he doesn't like to have ant clunky gear and like it simplistic.
Physical Appearance: Quite short for his age. Pale-skinned and completely unmuscular. This means he lacks upper-body strength, but his legs are built for running. His deep silver hair is unkept, but it's short to prevent it getting into his many eyes. On the topic of that, being a faunas, he has features of a spider. His face has 6 dark red eyes arranged in a half circle pattern above his normal eyes, which are a nice green.
Personality: Lyme is very laid back. However, he's not one for not accepting to help somebody. Infact, helping others is what drives him. He might need some motivation to get out of whatever video game or book his mind is buried into at the moment, but when he's up, he's up. He normally just does whatever's told of him. Hard to get riled up about really anything.
In battle, he's entirely different. He's always moving, but will still take back when told to do so. Not a leader at all. He's either slashing whatever in the face or hiding and still slashing whatever in the face.
Backstory: Honestly, his life was relatively normal. He grew in in the city of Vale with his father. He never met his mother, but that didn't hold him back. Most of his time was spent in the commercial district, chatting up with shopkeeps and watching boats come into the docks.
When he got accepted into Signal, he quickly got there and studied hard to be accepted into Beacon. However out of character this may be for him, getting into Beacon Academy was his best shot at becoming a hunter. Here, he forged his weapons. When he finally got the letter, he was so excited that his father nearly passed out. (Sorry this was short. I couldn't think of anything too long for somebody who literally just lived in Vale or another major city like most normal humans/ faunus in the RWBYverse.)
Weapon name: 'Darkness' and 'Karma'
Weapon Desc: Darkness and Karma are twin Chakram, a disc-type weapon with a hallowed out inside. The two are completely identical. They have a inside made of lightweight steel, with dark iron serrated edges. Along with this are small gemstones lining the inside of the disc. There are twelve in all, consisting of: Jasper, Sapphire, Agate, Emerald,Onyx, Carnelian, Chrysolite, Beryl, Topaz, Chrysoprase, Jacinth, and Amethyst. These stones are, from Revelation 21, placed on the gates of heaven. He only uses this when needed, but inside Karma is Burn Dust and Darkness is Lighting Dust.
Semblance name: Shadow Hand
Semblance Desc: Pretty simple: Lyme can project shadowy hands that are completely tangible, but separated from his body. He mainly uses this to retrieve or attack using his chakram while he is running or perched somewhere.

Outfit Desc: probably the plainest thing you’ll ever see. Tight fitting black tank top and leggings. Both articles of clothing have a thin purple stripe on the sides. Her emblem is nice and large across her back. She wears white boots that reach her knees, they appear to come in three pieces: Diamond shaped plate over the knee, armor like for the full leg, and then the part covering her foot appears completely separate. She also has three large purple claws attached to her toes, cliche I know but they help with her balance. Also a black ballcap with a purple visor, usually worn foreword.
Physical Appearance: She has albinism, so she has the deathly white skin and hair. Her hair is pulled into a heavily braided ponytail reaching just barely at her lower back. No one knows when and how, but she had dyed the tips of her bangs purple along with the end of her ponytail gradually gaining a purple gradient towards the end. Her eyes are pale, dull, and used to be lavender, and have strange scars over them as if they had been clawed.
Personality: Somewhat cold and cut off, due to past experiences, however she is capable of warming up to certain people. Be careful though, when she warms up things known as ‘personal space’ are a foreign concept. While not cruel towards strangers, or shy either, she usually either ignores you or makes snide remarks. She is capable of forgiving and giving out second chances to those she deems favorable. Even then, she never steps towards violence, no matter how much she hates someone. Warning, she tends to give platonic kisses on the cheek, just go along with it and don’t let her know it bothers you under ANY circumstance, her efforts will merely double.
Backstory: She had a decent childhood. Both her parents had decent jobs, she had a decent home, went to a decent school, and had an all in all decent life. She grew up bullied every now and then having to wear the ridiculous thick rimmed glasses that never seemed to fit and terrible kid jumpers, but hey she was happy. She did have a somewhat snarky attitude when she was younger, but it all changed when out of nowhere a Beowolf rampaged through her home. Being a stupid child with her head filled with stories of hunters and huntresses, she got caught in the line of fire, resulting in permanent blindness. Her parents constantly babied her, the bullying got worse, and she eventually stopped talking since no one listened to her opinion. Her semblance was activated one day as she decided she wanted to try running. Instead of gaping in amazement as she ran with ease through close quarters, her parents scolded her and attempted to confine her. Eventually she managed to get research done and realized she had been subconsciously using her semblance for a few months. Since that moment, she went through all lengths and measures to convince and prove she could be a huntress. It wasn’t until a professor from Signal took notice of her remarkably developed semblance that her parents finally gave way. Unfortunately, they closely monitor Indigo, and she knows the minute they don’t like something they would take her back home. Indigo firmly believes now more than ever she must prove herself irreplaceable so even her parents can’t conjure up some excuse to bring her back.
Weapon Name: Stick of Doom
Weapon Desc: Normally, it looks like an ordinary, shiny silver, metal baton with an led version of her emblem in the center. It hangs horizontally across her lower back. But this thing extends like no tomorrow! Joking. It can extend around 15 feet, what reason? No one knows. But this thing also becomes an extendable spear, or a double headed spear, or it can be split into two pieces and still have the spear heads. Not to mention it also doubles up as a badass blow gun shooting dust infused darts of doom. She mainly uses a rather strange combination of dusts that give her her main dart:
A combination of three crystals, resulting in the dart giving off a high pitched sound only she can detect thanks to her semblance, used mainly for tracking by tagging targets, or she places them in key areas so she can see an area without needing to exhaust her semblance.
She also, just for the sake of firepower, added a sniper. All her ammo is stored in an airtight secret compartment located in the back part of the leg section of her boots. Now you know why it looks a tiny bit clunky.
Semblance Name: Echolocation
Semblance Desc: Pretty self-explanatory. If you stand next to her and strain your ears and suddenly hear a strange chirping noise, don’t worry you aren’t mad. It’s just Indigo. Her voice is usually scratchy and it isn’t uncommon to see her drinking tea. With honey. And sugar. Lots of sugar.

Weaknesses: don’t tell her she can’t do something she will do it, stubborn, can be a bit quick to judge or rile up, completely useless melee style even with her spears, useless with close quarter defense, constantly uses her semblance resulting in the inability to talk at certain times, constant use of her semblance means sometimes she needs to stop and rest which means she does go blind especially in quiet rooms

Outfit: Black sandals, black cargo trousers, a hooded black tunic the hood is often kept up, clawed hand braces stretching up to his forearms, light padded armour on chest and back, a small light weapons utility belt around his waist holding spare magazines.
Appearance: Well kept dark brown hair in a short military style, pale skin, a small cut like scar on the left cheek which he acquired from Drake as a child, vivid green eyes, wiry build, hands calloused from all the climbing he has done, numerous scars on torso, proportionate arms and legs.
Personality: Irritating, enjoys tormenting others, all round arsehole, however he is loyal and secretly cares about his friends as they are all he really has.
Backstory: Born into poverty with a pair of thieves for parents, Shadow was often blamed for their current predicament and badly beaten as a result. When Shadow was 8 a particularly harsh winter made his parents fall ill, the two of them quickly succumbing to hypothermia and hunger and passed away. Forced now to find his own way in the world he quickly tried to make use of the skills he had picked up on whilst watching his parents, but seeming as they had never trained him he was often caught and received a beating and other harsh brutal consequences. One fateful day Shadow successfully managed to steal an entire pouch of money from an elderly man, his joy was short lived however as he was struck to the side of the face by a tightly clenched fist, immediately splitting open his cheek, and knocking him to the ground. The young boy with the older man, probably his grandson, had seen what had happened and swiftly decided to take action himself. After a good 5 minute beating the stern looking old man finally ordered his grandson to stop, taking a step forward to examine his would be thief. What followed was a through interrogation in which the old man learned off Shadows misfortune and current predicament.
Much to the dismay of the grandson the elderly man offered to take care of Shadow in exchange for him doing gruelling work for him around the farm in exchange for a bed and three meals a day. Eagerly excepting the offer the young boy found himself living a life which to him felt like utter luxury. It turned out the stony faced man who had taken him in was an ex hunter named Ash Lloyd, who lived with his two grandchildren Drake and Lumous. Upon seeing that both Drake and Lumous were receiving training he tentatively asked if he could do the same, even offering to put in extra hours around the farm if he would be allowed. The old man accepted, adapting what he knew to suit Shadows particular skills. During combat training he grew closer to the two other children, eventually finding a place among them as a friend. When his training was completed he joined Drake at Signal, and is now graduating to Beacon.
Weapon name: Silentium Mortem (Silent Death).
Weapons disc: A pair of black, silenced Uzis that possess bladed magazines that can be fired via a simple press of a button ballistic knife style, however it does possess a quick release mechanism, in which the dagger like magazines can be used for melee styled combat. Shadow also carries various dust infused magazines that he employs into his techniques for various different circumstances.
Semblance name: Umbra Forma (Shadow Form).
Semblance disc: Shadow can literally become a shadow at will, something he uses to increase his ninja like abilities. Whilst in this form he is invulnerable to most forms of damage but can’t actually attack back, leaving him weakest when actually using his semblance.

Strengths: Stealth, avoiding damage, CQC, hates giving up on something he has already begun and able to keep his cool under pressure. Also used to being hungry and cold.
Weakness: Very, very irritating, often doesn’t know where to draw the line when it comes to messing people, struggles against thick armoured foes and is a glass cannon. Hates being alone.

Emblem: A woven tiara composed of, Hibiscus, Dahlia, and Orchids. Each flower is displayed prominently at the front and their Stems are woven into the remaining parts of the tiara.
Outfit Desc: Esmeralda wears a teal-green 1 piece dress that ends at her knees, it is purely teal with no additional colors or images but has a loophole on either side. Above her dress she sports a large Emerald shawl, which is primarily plain but flourishes with a pattern of peacock feathers towards the end. The shawl has a split running from half way point to the flourished end. The shawl hangs loosely around her shoulders and is secured by a flowing ribbon which loops through the loopholes in her dress. The ends of the ribbon are wrapped around her arms and end in small golden rings which are placed over her third digits. Lastly she wears a Jade-colored veil over her face obscuring her appearance.
Physical Appearance: Esmeralda’s most distinguishing trait would be her long wavy hair. Her hair is cyan but contains numerous feathers within it that create iridescent eye-spots in her hair. Her eyes are a calming shade of turquoise that is only slightly darker than her hair. She is lithe, light-weight, and extremely flexible preferring to use her grace and agility over strength.
Personality: Esmeralda is a delicate beauty, who carries herself in a lofty manner. She is prideful and conducts herself with a near impeccable poshiness, though she does mess up sometimes. Though she is beautiful her pride causes her to believe she is an unmatched, peerless beauty and hence she wears a veil to conceal her ‘paradisiac features’.
Backstory: Esmeralda was born to a pair of faunas who lived within the borders of Mistral, where she was grown. They lived a relatively comfortable life and Esmeralda was able to peacefully attend school at Haven before transferring to Beacon.
Weapon name: Eleganza Tempesta
Weapon Desc: The Eleganza Tempesta consists of two light-weight aluminum Fans with sharpened edges. The fans are highly durable and are capable of being used to deflect strikes or attack by slashing with its edges. Eleganza tempesta can be utilized with dust to create various special effects.

Semblance Desc: Impulse Drive allows Esmeralda to increase her reaction speed, and perception for short periods of time. It is usually used in short bursts.

Outfit Description: Sports a long and open-sleeved, shirtwaist dress whose top is a Prussian blue and whose bottom is a calming and more joyous shade. The ends of her sleeves and hemming are in tatters due to her clumsiness and reluctance to throw out her clothes until she proclaims them unwearable. She wears a white and frilly apron around her waist and a smooth, crimson neckerchief with an added hood over her shoulders. She often goes barefoot, as she prefers the grounded feeling it provides.
Physical Appearance: A striking curtain of golden hair falls a quarter of the way down her back, ending in accented curls. Her eyes are wide, innocent, and baby blue and her skin is the colour of porcelain. She has pianist’s hands and a gymnast’s body, and so wielding weapons is quite a struggle for her.
Personality: Gluttonous in the sense of her strong urge to stockpile for possible impending disasters. She’s a sentimentalist and often dotes on her past for longer than need be. She impulsively comes up with multiple outcomes to each situation in order to prevent the negative ones. Despite these quirks, she really does try her best to be pleasant to others overall (Albeit painfully shy). She always finds the quickest and easiest way to solve a problem with minimal difficulty, which is especially helpful on the battlefield. Her conscience sometimes gets the better of her when dueling against her fellowmen, which causes her to come off as spineless or weak. She’ll refuse to fight if she knows she can’t win. Although emotional, she’s hardly ever passionate over anything other than preventing calamity.
Backstory: Holly comes from a family of crime. Her parents were both commonplace thieves who were widely known for their robbery of franchise who supported faunus rights. Needless to say, they were hardly responsible for taking care of their daughter, leaving her under the aid of her maternal grandmother whom was clueless as to her mother and father’s heinous deeds. It was not until both were arrested some years after their first robbery that Holly was attested to and separated from her beloved grandmother to be put into foster care.
When she was integrated into a much less rambunctious family, she and her adoptive parents put in their best efforts to come in contact with her grandmother, only to find that she had passed away. It was then that Holly solemnly swore she would never let tragedy happen as long as she could stop it from happening, convinced that if she had stayed with her grandmother she wouldn’t have died.
Weapon name: Illuminator
Weapon Description: A brass staff reminiscent of a lengthened candlestick. On either side of the weapon, omnipresent candles of which never melt or become misshapen from use rest. When the word “Illuminate” is spoken in a clear and confident voice, blue flames flicker from the end of each candle’s wick. Illuminator can be used to bludgeon or jab at one’s opponents, though is more practical for propelling small bursts of blue flame.

Semblance Description: She can create illusions using smoke. However, these illusions will abolish the moment the victim realizes they are fake.

Gender: female
Race: red panda faunus
Height: 4' 1"
Emblem: A circle striped one way with a darker reddish-brown and the other way with an orangish-brown (like an X), white cat-like ears at the top "corners".
Outfit Desc: She usually wears a black sort-of robe over her plain, dark blue t-shirt, and light grey sweatpants that almost completely covers her boots, which she calls slippers, since they are as comfortable as them. Also, around her neck sits a ribbon that is the same color as her shirt, and her eyes are normally hidden by a pair of dark sunglasses. Her clothes aren't the neatest, be it thanks to an accidental spill or she just didn't feel like ironing them, but whenever they're really bad, they get covered by her robe.
Physical Appearance: Bress is a very short girl with little to no fat on her body due to all the climbing and swinging she does almost all the time. Her skin is a caramel brown, darker then her dirty-blond hair, which stretches down to just below her shoulders. At the top of her head are two white, fluffy, pointed ears, filled with a cinnamon color. Umber brown eyes, which are rarely ever seen, rather pointed teeth, and freckles that dust her cheeks also make up her appearance.

Weapon Name: Flora and Fauna
Weapon Desc: Flora's a bow Bress made herself out of an elm tree. It's extremely smooth and can shoot up to 45 feet away. The string on Flora is linen. Fauna are the arrows Bress also crafted, but they're snakewood, so they are very sharp and rarely ever dull. Even their feathers are wood, albeit much thinner wood.
Semblance Name: Extensions
Semblance Desc: This does nothing more than extend Bress's nails out into red panda-esque claws, allowing her grip on climbing surfaces (like trees) to grow much greater and make it tougher for opponents to shake her off.

Strengths: Her climbing ability means she is very good at hiding from whatever she may need to hide from. Also, her flexibility allows her to dodge attacks with ease.
Weaknesses: She has terrible aim and rarely ever end up hitting someone successfully with Flora and Fauna. Her laziness can sometimes get the best of her as well.
Likes: lounging around, listening to music, learning new things, rainy days, just about every food ever, old people (They're just too cute! o3o )
