Sapphire walked out of the Atlas airship that was landed at the front of Beacon, the young girl followed behind the men that were lugging her suitcases to the building,but before the girl could continue to follow a silver haired woman wearing a silver dress walked out of the aircraft holding a rapier, "Sapphire why don't you say goodbye to your own mother and father" the woman said "Weiss let Sapphire be she's growing up she doesn't have to hug us" a blonde haired man stated as he stood next to the famous Weiss Schnee "Jaune your going soft!" The Schnee huntress screamed at her husband, Sapphire rolled her eyes but she then walked up to her parents and hugged them before she pulled away and smiled

 

[sSoul]

Gene got out of the Atlas shortly after Sapphire did, his parents seeming the happiest they've been in a while. "I know you'll be the best huntsmen that this school has seen in a while," Alondra told her son as she looked at him with an emotion that was the closest to true happiness that he experienced, pride.
"Now go make the Hymns proud!" The boy hugged his father and mother before staring at Sapphire thinking, So she's the daughter of the famous Weiss Schnee, she is bound to be popular, better stay away from her.

 

[Suga Bear]

The youngest Schnee bid her parents goodbye before walking to the building, once she reached the front of the school Sapphire stopped walking instead she stood there waiting for her older cousin to arrive, hopping that her cousin would arrive, "I hope he comes here soon, I don't want to go into the school all by myself" the light haired girl thought to herself

 

[Pyramid Prince]

A small airship touched down near the others and a ramp opened, stopping when it touched the ground. A dark haired man stepped out, his red cape flowing subltly behind him. He could be seen putting a silver flask in his pocket as he looked around the courtyard.

"Ozpin really hasn't changed this place much," the man said. "After our 'remodeling,' he had plenty of opportunity."

"It's fine as it is, Qrow," a white haired lady said as she departed the airship, followed by a silver haired young man. "Besides, you're not the one attending Beacon, Azure is."

Qrow looked back at Winter and their child, Azure. He chuckled softly and smiled, walking over to the two of them. Placing a hand on Azure's head, he ruffled his son's hair. Azure grumbled and playfully swatted his father's hand away.

"Dad, that's embarrassing," Azure grumbled. Winter showed a small smile before doing the same. "You have everything, Azure?" Winter asked. Azure motioned to his bag over his shoulder and nodded. He said his good-byes and headed towards the school entrance as his parents entered the ship and left.

I wonder where Sapphire is, he thought as he walked through the courtyard. Azure started walking backwards as he watched the other students arrive. He was not aware of anyone or anything behind him.

 

[Suga Bear]

Sapphire scanned the courtyard of the school looking for a certain silver haired male until her blue eyes caught a glimpse of her target, without wasting anytime the light haired girl ran across the courtyard until she reached the older Schnee, once reaching the male the young girl caught Azure into a tight embrace "Azure you have no idea how long I've been standing there" the younger Schnee whined as she looked up at Azure with a pouting look as tears were on the rim of her eyes

 

[sSoul]

When Gene saw the reunion of the two Schnees, he changed his initial judgement, Maybe I was wrong to think that way about her, but I doubt that she would want to talk to me of all people, I don't even know her, and I'd prefer it to stay that way. He looked around for places to enter the school, even though it was likely that no one else knew as well. He had the slightest desire to make friends, but after seeing what losing a loved one can do to people, he decided to take a hard pass.

 

[RaccoonMan]

After Pyro had gotten off the airship he saw a multitude of people and weapons including the two Schnees hugging "Well at least I know the school's popular." Pyro said to himself "Might as well start looking for a map." He said before accidentally bumping into boy with a hoodie "Oww...oh sorry!" He said lending a hand to help him up

 

[Suga Bear]

Sapphire released Azure from the hug as she wiped her tears away with the sleeves of her dress " Azure how is aunty Winter and uncle Qrow" the girl asked her older cousin as she had look up at him due to him being the taller one "geez even with heels on I'm still shorter than you" Sapphire stated glumly as she looked down at her white stilletos that gave her a boost in height

 

[sSoul]

Gene was slightly angered at falling, but calmed down as he saw the boy offer a hand up. "Thanks," he told the guy as he grabbed his hand and helped himself up, "By the way, what's your name?" He knew that he shouldn't be doing this, as he was putting himself in a position to emotionally attach himself to someone else. At this point however, he didn't care, he never had a friend before and wanted to start now, and besides, it would be awkward not to talk to Pyro at this point.

 

[RaccoonMan]

Pyro felt awkward about the situation so he just complied "Pyro...Pyro Persimmon." He replied "Sorry I'm new...and not really social. Anyways what's your name?" He asked politely "Also you have a campus map or...?"

 

[sSoul]

"Gene, pronounce it Jen please, Gene Hymns, and no I don't have a map," The young Hymns boy told Pyro as he looked around for some kind of guide. While talking to Pyro, he thought that showinh him his weapon would be a good idea, "Hey do you wanna see my sword?" He hoped he was being friendly and not too awkward, even though a small part of his mind told him to abort and just find his way on his own. But he had realized that he cannot become a huntsmen by himself, he needs help from all sources and having friends is one of the best sources to have.

 

[Pyramid Prince]

Azure didn't see Sapphire coming towards and stumbled into another student when she hugged him. He apologized to the student and turned to Sapphire.

"Hiya, squirt," Azure said as he ruffled her hair. "It's been a while. They are doing just fine. You know how they can, bickering occasionally."

Azure chuckled at the height comment and placed an arm around his cousin's shoulder. "It's because I'm older. You'll grow taller as you get older. How's Aunt Weiss and Uncle Jaune?"

 

[RaccoonMan]

"Sure!" Pyro said excitedly "I'm a fanatic for weapons of all sorts." Pyro said thinking of all the things it could be "(What is it a hammer,rapier,scythe, whaddabout a GATLING gun!!)" The boy thought happily

 

[Suga Bear]

"Mother and father are doing okay but when dad says something mom can' help but to argue thinking she know everything but all in all their doing okay" Sapphire stated as a smile graced her lips, the female student then looked at Azure again "I can't wait to start hunting down grim beasts so then I Vann summon them" Sapphire excitedly said as she jumped up and down in glee, after her little happy celebration the young Schnee composed herself as she cleared her throat "anyway, don't ruffle my hair anymore Azure I am now 15 I'm not a little kid anymore" Sapphire stated in a more snobby yet serious voice but if you really knew the young girl you could see excitement dancing in her blue eyes

 

[Pyramid Prince]

"That's certainly does sound like them. Glad they're doing well." Azure chuckled and put his hands up in surrender. "Okay, I won't do that anymore. Let's head inside and find some seats for orientation before the auditorium fills up."

Azure motioned for Sapphire to follow him into the school. Inside the front doors was a long hall with a high ceiling. Students, parents, and staff were all bustling around, getting ready to start the school year.

 

[Suga Bear]

Sapphire followed closey behind Azure sense she didn't want to seem alone in the sea of people inside the school, the young girl then gripped Azures arm and looked down at the ground "do you think mom and aunty Winter will be there?" The girl asked in a small voice, she didn't want anybody to notice that even if she acts all confident the reason she was putting up her act was because she wanted to make the Schnne family proud, her aunty was a atlas specialist and her own mother was a famous huntress, Sapphire couldn't even call herself special if she stood next to the famous Schnee sisters

 

[Pyramid Prince]

Azure shook his head. "I don't think they'll be here. It's only orientation. From what I've been told, they're just going to tell us what is going to be happening while we are here. And from Dad has told me, our first year is going to be mostly classwork, training, and easy missions." The cousins made their way through the crowd and to the auditorium. Inside, students were standing around in groups or sitting in their seats while they waited for the orientation. "Let's go sit towards the front." Azure pointed towards the front few rows of chairs.

 

[sSoul]

"Well," Gene told Pyro before taking the sword out of its scabbard, "If it tap the hilt twice, it turns into a gauntlet which can also function as a gun. I tap the knuckles twice to revert it into a sword." He demonstrated what he just told his acquaintance. Now, not wanting to sound selfish, he asked him the same thing, "So what can your weapon do?"

 

[RaccoonMan]

"Oh, mines a sword too." He said taking out his great sword "Mine just has a switch on it." He said turning it into a gun lance. He then took a small pause "Dude we need to book it over to orientation like...now." The boy said running towards the school "Anyways byeee!!!" He yelled

 

[sSoul]

And just like that, the closest thing to a friend he had was gone.... great. Gene hurried over to the orientation room, putting his sword in its scabbard. He hoped he wasn't too late or else that would be a terrible start to the day. He managed to dodge most people, but he accidentaly ran into Sapphire, regretting it very much.

 

[Suga Bear]

When the boy ran into Sapphire it caused the girl to lose her grip on Azures arm which made her fall to the ground, once the girl stood back up her eyes blazed with anger she then took her chain scythe of her belt that was around her waste and then pointed the curved blade at Gene "How dare you,do you have any idea who I am?" The girl questioned the boy as her weapon was pointed directly at him

 

[sSoul]

Gene said calmly, "Sapphire Schnee, daughter of Weiss Schnee and Jaune Arc Schnee, of course I know who you are, sorry for bumping into you." He lowered her weapon and went on with his business, ready to defend himself if necessary. It was people like her that reminded the Hymns boy not to associate with people, but Pyro seemed nice, so he realized that he had to be careful who he met, cause some were nice and others were, in a lame man's terms, mean.

 

[Pyramid Prince]

Azure stumbled when Sapphire was knocked to the ground. He regained his balance and looked around to see what had happened. A boy had ran into Sapphire and knocked her over. Azure was about to help his cousin up, but she was already back on her feet, her weapon out and pointed at the other student. The older Schnee watched the exchange between the two, ready to step in if necessary. The boy apologized and moved pass them.

"Come on, Sapph," Azure placed a hand on her shoulder. "Let's get to our seats before they're all taken."

 

[sSoul]

Gene nonchalantly took his seat and waited patiently for the orientation to begin, thinking, I've heard good things about Beacon, even though it was destroyed, it got rebuilt and some say that it is better than ever, let's hope what they say is true. He observed his surroundings and noted that it was a big crowd, so he already had an idea of the number of allies he would have, the number of potential teammates that were present in the room. The possibilities were limitless but limited, like going wherever you wanted without paying, but only if it was in a single kingdom, it was almost poetic. The Hymns boy had many thoughts such as these when he was bored, he simply enjoyed the process of thinking, of what he would come up with, which is why he was able to go days, weeks, even years without interaction, he had learned to be his own entertainment, he knew how to keep his mind occupied. Another thought plagued Gene, What can Sapphire really do to me? How is she going to make me suffer?

 

[Suga Bear]

Sapphire placed her weapon back on to her silver belt before taking Azures arm off her shoulder, she then held her older cousins arms and noded her head "that kid Is going to end up losing a limb if he dare just dismiss me so casually but I must give him credit for knowing who I am" the platinum blond teen smugly stated, "alright Azure let's go" the girl said as she started to walk to orientation but as her heels clicked on the ground she didn't realize that she was dragging her older cousin with her

 

[Fire Mana]

Jet sat down in the middle of the auditorium. He wanted to blend in, not stand out in any way. The orientation was most likely just going to go over classes, dorms, and general rules at Beacon. He pretty much already knew everything he was going to be told. Still, he was going to pay attention just in case.

 

[Pyramid Prince]

Azure stumbled slightly as he rushed to catch up with his cousin. He kept an eye out for a couple open seats for the two of them. In the second row, there was two seats right on the aisle. Azure pointed the two seats out to Sapphire and headed over to them. Some students were still filing in minutes before the orientation was going to start.

"Time here is going to be fun," Azure said out loud as he relaxed in his chair.

 

[Suga Bear]

Sapphire sat down next to Azure and frowned "how long is this gonna be?" The girl asked as she looked her older cousin dead in the eyes, "its so hot in here and why can't they turn on the AC" the blue eyed girl complained, she then sat up and sat in a lady like manner as she looked at her perfect nails that were colored silver

 

[sSoul]

Gene was nearby and heard the complaints, he angrily told the Schnee girl, "Look, not everything can be as perfect as you, although we'd live a very terrible life if it was, so I'd advise you to be quiet and let us wait." He knew that he was going to receive backlash from Sapphire and maybe even her cousin Azure, but it didn't matter to her, as long as it shut her up, he was fine. Besides, what damage can she really do?

 

[Blaxes]

This was certainly a good day for Jason, despite not being exactly supportive of his dreams, his parents did what they could to send him off, he didn't forget anything and, for once in a handful of years, he wasn't late!
He took his time looking around on his way to the auditorium, where he would probably take sometime listening to things he already knew, but hey, this was the first day of his life as a Huntsman, he wouldn't be bothered by something like that.

 

[Suga Bear]

The young Schnee kept her composer and smiled "Oh my, looks like we have a brave failure addressing me in such a way, oh please don't make me laugh" the girl sneered she then pointed one of her fingers at Gene and frowned "though your quite right, if the whole world were as perfect, rich, and talented as the Schnees there would be no failures in this world like you to do the normal jobs and c'mon maybe if you try a little hard and act nice to those guillble teachers maybe you can pass as a amateur hunter" Sapphire stated boldly and as she finished her rude remark her frown was replaced with a smirk

 

[sSoul]

"No one is perfect," Gene said with disgust, "And you are the farthest from it. The Schnees aren't perfect either, so get out of the little fantasy you live in, cause to be honest, you're just as much, if not more than a failure than me." In just one day, he felt two emotions, compassion, and hate. Well at least what he thought was hate, he wouldn't use such strong words for such a person who he had just met. People were already gossiping and he faceplamed, Great in the first day you're already the center of attention, why didn't you just keep your mouth shut?

 

[Suga Bear]

Sapphire abruptly stood and glared at Gene "I know I'm the least from perfect I honestly admit that but you don't know what it's like to be born in a family where it's hard to make your own legacy due to your family being famous, I know I'm not perfect but I'm not a failure I'm here to prove to my family that I can be more than their shadow, after all of this I'm sure that my own mother will be in my shadow" Sapphire honestly stated as she kept her lie up, "I know I'm a failure I know I'm not perfect but I have to try, I'm Schnee I can' let this boy make a fool out of me....not now and not ever, it won't happen again, i wont be the same useless girl who cowered behind her mother and father im not that young naive girl i once was, I am now a huntress" the youngest Schnee thought to herself as she tried to keep composure but her hand just kept itching to reach for her weapon

 

[Blaxes]

"Uuh, seems like we already have rivalry!" He said as he watched the discussion beetwen the two "I'm really loving this place."
But the petty fight, the promise of competition and the noisy students didn't distract him from his objective in the Academy.
Thinking about the case where one of them could possibly be his teammate, he leaned to the front seats, and said.
"Wow, it seems like someone is angry..." Jason said "Come on guys, this is the first day of our history as Huntsmen and Huntresses, I think it wouldn't hurt having some friends. Besides, you're losing this fantastic chance to socialize."

 

[sSoul]

Gene looked mildly pleased, well consider that nerve touched He wanted to scoff, but he actually harbored the slightest portion of respect for the Schnee girl, "Though you're not perfect, I must admit, you're closer to perfection than I am, through there is no need to fight right now, save it for sparring." He was saying this with a slight tone of teasing in his voice, almost chuckling after he said that. He wondered where Pyro was but noticed Jason and told him, "Thanks for the advice, but I don't make friends with brats." He was referring
to Sapphire when he said this and this time, he was serious, but decided to finally calm down and wait for the orientation to begin.

 

[Pyramid Prince]

"Hey! Both of you knock it off!" Azure interjected, having had enough of the two arguing. He stood up and looked at the two of them with a disapproving look. "Sapphire, you need to be patient. Things won't go as you plan." Then he turned to Gene. "And you, sometimes it's just best to keep comments to yourself."

Azure sat back down in his seat and smirked. "I hope you two are put on the same team."

 

[Suga Bear]

Sapphire glared at her older cousin for the first time in ages, the young girl hasn't glared at Azure sense she was a child sense she looked up to him so much, "Azure if you wish to keep your tongue I suggest you keep your mouth close and only open it when necessary, hasn't aunty Winter taught you that?" The young student remarked as she sat back down and frowned "I should have just joined the Atlas Academy but I was so dense and ended coming here to Beacon just like mom and dad" Sapphire stated glumly as she went back to looking at her nails pretending she wasn't paying attention to the orientation

 

[sSoul]

Gene was disgusted by the idea, Please, I doubt we would be on the same team. I guess my assumption was true, unfortunate. But he still and a small deal of respect for her, he never realized her struggles. But it wasn't much compared to a family shrouded in grief by the time you're born, so much so that they barely show true happiness. People continued to gossip about the fight, hoping that they were on the same team so they could see them fight.

 

[Pyramid Prince]

"Yeah, Mom's taught me things," Azure said still smiling. "But I think I take after Dad more."

The auditorium was loud with different conversations, but they all started dying out one by one as Ozpin and Glynda walked onto the stage. All was quiet as Ozpin began to speak.

"I'll...keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills. And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step."

Ozpin stood there for a moment after his speech before leaving the stage. Glynda then stepped up to the microphone and started explaining what would be happening over the next few days and the rest of the year.

 

[sSoul]

So this is the famous Ozpin, not bad, I like his style, too bad I am not going to be a school director. Gene payer attention to what Glynda was telling him as well as the rest of the students. One thing that really stood out to him was the mention of the entry trial, where teams would be chosen. He heard the rules that the person you first find is your teammate, so he planned to make measures to avoid Sapphire and find Pyro, that was his goal.
