DPPt/HGSS Secad's Realm of... Horribleness

*Gasp!*

I, Secad, have made up my first moveset! *gasp again!* I need someone to rate it to see if it would actually work.

I made up a moveset which might work, and it will be the moveset I will put on my Togetic as soon as it reaches lv. 51 and I evolve it.

Togekiss

Nature:Mild

Item(s): Wide Lens/Leftovers

Ability: Hustle

Intent: Metagame+In game

Moveset: Aura Sphere, Extreme Speed, Aerial Ace, Flamethrower.

Reasons why: At first, when I caught my Togepi, I caught it in a Premier Ball, which I thought was pretty, so when I looked up the physical Togekiss on *Jaws music*...Serebii, I found out I had horrible nature. But with the Togetic being in a Premier Ball and I stink at breeding, I decided to put together my first moveset of my own to cater to my specific needs. Because of the +Sp. attack -Attack nature and Hustle combined, it made the two attack stats be about the same. But the accuracy was lowered, so I chose two 'always hit' moves (A. Sphere, and A. Ace.). One is for pure STAB, and the other to hit Rock types. The other two had STAB and a defensive move to hit other types. Extreme Speed is a move it learned naturally, and Flamethrower was to hit Rock/Steel types that were not weak to Fighting moves. The item Wide Lens is to help increase accuracy for both in-game and meta-game, and Leftovers was exclusively for in-game. Best of all, my moveset only uses two TMs, because I don't have a lot of them.

Please comment and give suggestions.

I also need help with coming up with a good Deoxys moveset. It is an untouched event Deoxys from the recent US event. Moveset, EVs, and held item are requested. I basically have no idea of what to do with it.

Species: Deoxys

Level: 50

Nature: Lax

Togekiss @Choice Specs
Modest Nature
Serene Grace Trait
252 SpAtk / 252 Spd / 6 HP

Nasty Plot
Flamethrower
Water Pulse
Ancientpower

So this a pretty basic special sweeper. Nasty Plot for the SpAtk increase, Flamethrower for coverage against Grass/Ice types. Ancientpower for general stat bonus and Water Pulse for chance of confusion and coverage against Ground/Rock types. Even though you won't have an attack for STAB, with Serene Grace your doubling your chances for stat bonuses with attacks and Water Pulse causing confusion. ChoiceSpecs for added SpAtk bonus.

Deoxys would vary depending on which forme you choose.

Lack of STAB on your Set Nexle. And remember, the Choice Specs lock into one move only. That makes Nasty Plot worthless with the Choice Specs. Air Slash is a natural choice, for STAB and its 60% Flinch Rate. Aura Sphere also deserves a huge mention. Never miss and has good coverage with Air Slash. Those two moves could make up the entire moveset alone.

Going with what Jet said, this is the standard moveset for Togekiss:

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Serene Grace
Modest/Calm

- Air Slash
- Aura Sphere
- Roost
- Thunder Wave

Simple really - Thunder Wave your opponent to drop their Speed lower than your own (the Para-hax is the icing on the cake for this set,) Air Slash for STAB and 60% flinch chance - combine that with the 30% chance of para-hax (I think it's 30%, correct me if I'm wrong) and you have a 90% chance that your opponent can do absolutely nothing to you. Aura Sphere for Rock/Steel-types that resist Air Slash, Roost to heal yourself when you do take damage. Side-effects of using this set include friends no longer wanting to battle you and the increased number of opponents DC'ing during matches. Other than that, it's awesome.

I'll have a go at Deoxys:

Deoxys Attack Forme @ Choice Specs
Pressure
Modest

- Psycho Boost/Psychic
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball/Focus Blast

Base 180 Sp.Attack combined with Choice Specs is immense power - combine that with STAB'ed Psycho Boost and it's little wonder Deoxys is considered uber. You can go Psychic for the STAB attack if you don't like the Sp.Atk dropping effect of Psycho Boost - your choice. Ice Beam + Thunderbolt grants incredible coverage, and the last move is basically filler - Focus Blast provides better coverage and power than Shadow Ball, but a missed Focus Blast can easily spell doom for Deoxys, a problem Shadow Ball doesn't suffer from.

Hope that helped.

Sorry, I only have one Deoxys, and I cannot change it's nature. I would appreciate it if someone could give me an idea that works with a Lax Deoxys. Form doesn't matter, as I can change it.

With the Togekiss, I asked if someone could rate the one I made up, to see if it could put a dent in some other Pokemon. Thank you for all your help, though.

Let's see...

Since Lax lowers S.Def...we could stick Amnesia or Light Screen to help with that problem. That being said, a Deoxys that can take hits is pretty good with that nature. Then again...unless it has IVs that can change it make it a sweeper, I'm going for Defense for now.

Deoxys@Leftovers
Lax Nature
252 HP/180 S. Def/78 Def
-Recover
-Knock Off
-Amnesia/Light Screen
-Extremespeeed/Spikes/Stealth Rock/Taunt/Pursuit

Recover to get instant healing.
Knock Off to mess around with other walls with Leftovers.
Amnesia raises S. Def, but it is asking to be sent out with Whirlwind or Roar. Light Screen is acceptable due to its team support.
Extreemespeed can pick off weakened Pokemon.
Spikes and Stealth Rock are for passive damage on switching in.
Pursuit can pick off Pokemon switching out.

Thank you, Jet. I like the ExtremeSpeed and Amnesia options best. (And I don't need to use TMs! Bonus!) I plan to use this to finally obliterate my friend's Ubers.

EV training starts tomorrow!

I really like how you stuck by the togepi even though it didnt have a standard nature. Nice call with the always hits moves with hustle. all in all it looks good to me with a nice diverse Ev spread it should surprise a few.

Any recommendations? I did have to battle with it to get it up one level to evolve into Togetic. So just give me something general, please. (right now it's in it's level range of 10-20)

Edit: Thanks Jet! I did finish EV training my Deoxys! It rocks, and it's only level 58! Thank you!

If it's a Togetic, you could try Magical Leaf for another always hit move over flamethrower, or (just for kicks) Metronome for random fun! ;D
