No you don't. You just have to inform the person you are trading with knows what your giving them is hacked. Having a mutual agreement is much easier than involving others and wasting their time.
Well, Action Reply would be at the reciever's discretion, but Soft Reseting (which is porbably what is meant when burp23 said SR) is a normal course of action when hunting shiny legendaries/starters.

Ah, thought it was a typo. A an S keys are right next to eachother, as you know.
