Snowforts (Private RP)

A normal teenage girl would be inside with her friends, drinking hot chocolate and watching movies. But, being anything but a normal teenage girl, Lark Reed was kneeling down in a field, up to her waist in snow.

Lark and her Pokemon had been training all day, taking advantage of the newly fallen snow to perfect some new strategies. But, now that the sun was getting lower in the sky, she thought it would be best to call it quits and play a little bit before finding somewhere to sleep. Her Medicham insisted on staying out of his Pokeball to build resistance to the cold. Or something. Wooper was bouncing around the snowbanks with Slurpy, her Gastrodon, and Lefty, her Burmy was snoozing in a nearby tree.

While her Pokemon were occupied with themselves, Lark got busy building up the snow around the base of the tree that Lefty was napping in. She figured she wouldn't have much time to play around in the snow after this, since she had all sorts of things to do the next day. The girl was lost in her building and the thoughts that she didn't notice the figure standing a few yards behind her.

It really wasn't like him, Jasper thought as he balled the snow up in his newly bought gloves. The girl in the distance could obviously see him but she was too far away to notice what he was doing. He smirked, looking to Drifloon, who was floating up in the air above him. He signalled for his Pokémon to come down and it obeyed luckily. "Lift me?" Jasper asked, wanting Drifloon to carry him in the air like had done only once before. Drifloon responded by floating away from his trainer. Japer rolled his eyes and focused once more on the girl in the distance, the one he felt the urge to hit with the snowball he had made.

Japer wasn't really sure why he wanted to do it so badly. He wasn't normally a very outgoing kid, and not exactly the type that went around starting snowball fights with strangers. Perhaps it was the fact that she was the only one around. Maybe it was the lack of interaction with anyone but his Pokémon for almost a month now. Or maybe, Jasper thought, scratching a head of black hair, it was because she was cute.

Jasper pulled back his right arm, he was ambidextrous but favored his right, and let the snowball fly. At first Jasper thought he had missed but when he realized what had happened he laughed. The girl had caught his snowball and was now preparing to hurl it back at him. "Uh oh." Jasper muttered, quickly piling up some of the soft snow to make himself a fort. He was too slow and was hit in the leg with the ball of crystalized water. Laughing, Jasper balled up more snow and prepared to fling it back, hiding in his makeshift fort as he did so.

Lark was lucky to have her quick reflexes, or else she'd have a face full of slush. She almost didn't notice the kid lob a snowball right at her, but amazingly she managed to catch it. She flung it back with a wicked grin, excited for this bit of adventure.

When she saw the snowball make contact with the boy's leg, she immediately ducked behind her half-finished snow fort, ready for another to come flying her way. She signaled Medicham with a low whistle, telling him to be ready for any incoming snow. He made a huffing sound, as if to tell her she was nuts.

Jasper's snowball missed, hitting the tree behind the girl and apparantly disturbing her Gastrodon. He had ducked back down after throwing the snow and didn't see the onslaught of snowballs, but heard the muffled thud of snow on snow as an oddly colored Medicham lifted several perfectly sculpted balls of snow psychicly and threw them all together at Jasper's pathetic fort. "So you bring your Pokémon into this..." Jasper said, grabbing a ball from his belt as he shivered from the cold. "Jingle," Jasper whispered as the Chingling appeared. He knew the girl had probably seen the bright flash of light and asumed what he was doing but he didn't care. "Wanna help me win a fight?"

Jingle levitated itself in the air gracefully, raising a large ball of snow as it did so. With a short cry of a portion of its name, Jingle thrust itself forward as the enormous snowball flung towards Jasper's foe.

It took a second for it to register in Lark's mind that there was a very tiny Chingling throwing a very large snowball right at her. Unfortunately, that second was all it took for the snowball to hit its target square in the face.

"Ow." she said weakly, knocked over by the sheer force of the Chingling's telekinetic throw. Though she was now on the ground because of it, she was impressed by the Pokemon's psychic strength. She recovered and got up quickly, knowing that she was being challenged and she had no intention of losing.

"Okay Medicham, I want you to throw as many snowballs you can at once at him! Show him that you're a better psychic!" she cheered him on. He didn't like frivolous games much, but he did want to make Lark happy. He complied, focusing all his might on creating as many as he could and pelting them clear across the field.

"Jingle," Jasper said, seeing multiple piles of snow forming into spheres around his opponent. "Cover yourself." Jingle nodded and floated closer to the earth. Drifloon appeared by Jasper's side and wrapped a thin arm around his bicep. Snow around Jingle took on a purplish tint and started to rise and harden slightly, piling up intil it covered Jingle completely. If Jasper had thought his Pokemon was going to be safe he was wrong. The snowballs came flying towards the tiny Psychic type, ripping through its snow shield and pummeling the Pokemon itself. Jasper clenched his fist in anger. "Just..." He couldn't think of words and ended up simply flailing his arms around, Jingle noticed this and decided to improvise.

Her rope like ears became limp for a second before springing to life, sending snow nearby sailing towards Medicham and the girl. The fight had gone from snowballs to pure snow. Jasper grabbed an empty Pokeball, stood, and aimed it at his fort, pressing the center button against the snow. Immediately a large portion of snow was sucked inside the ball. The girl and her blue Medicham were too busy gathering snow to notice this. Jasper covered the PokeBall in snow, smirking, and tossed it towards the girl. She was prepared for a small snowball to hit her but not for what really happened. The ball opened just before it reached her, sending red luminescence, which became snow, crashing down on her and her Medicham. The now empty PokeBall flew back to Jasper's hand and he stowed it in his pocket before rushing to aid the girl.

"Are you ok?" He asked, offering a hand to the girl whose name he still didn't know.

"I think so." Lark said with a face full of snow. She was flat on her back, with Medicham lying across her chest and a stranger looking down at her. Not exactly the most desirable position to be in, especially since she had managed to get snow IN her jacket.

She rolled Medicham off of her and took Jasper's hand, pulling herself up. "I don't think I even know your name." Lark said, thinking out loud as opposed to actually asking his name. "I'm Lark, and that's my Medicham you just dumped snow all over."

She smiled, hoping to make him feel just a LITTLE bit guilty.

"Um yeah... Sorry about that." Jasper said, laughing. "I didn't think it'd be that bad." That was a lie, he knew it would be that bad and he knew that if he wasn't right next to this Lark person he'd probably be laughing. "So your Medicham... Is... Blue." Jasper said, wanting to get off the subject of him being mean.

"I still don't know your name." Lark noted, interrupting him.

"Jasper Teleomara." He answered before spinning around to see Jingle floating towards him, wanting to meet the girl and her Medicham. "And this is Jingle. Just tell me if she gets annoying." Lark probably didn't know what he was talking about until Jingle began circling her, floating first around her knees and working her way up to her head, all while singing bell like songs.

OoC: Not sure if this topic is meant to be more than a snowball fight or not (it seems to me it is) but you guys seriously need to start putting more detail into these posts and expanding on them. Maybe you just haven't yet because of the conversational nature of the previous posts... I'll wait and see, but if the topic ends up being nothing but short posts like these it will be shut down.
